Cachet Boutique Kunming Artime in Kunming

This is my first time doing a hotel review and I hope the hotel can raise their standards in the future.

First night on 28 Nov 25, free upgrade for 3 rooms, 4 adults n 3 kids, definitely will give a 5 stars rating for a 1 night stay with its location n what was given to us. We left this hotel for a night stay n return back on 5 Dec 25.

Check in ard 6pm+ 5 Dec 25, take note that it’s another 3 rooms for 4 adults n 3 kids. 2 adults each with 1 room each n 3 kids with another room. Our room were all on level 5, remember it’s all 3 rooms. Once reached my room, the aircon or to them it’s a warmer since it’s winter now was not blowing any wind. The technician was quick to attend the issue ard 7pm+, told me this was a warmer rather than an aircon n I told him I just need the thing to circulate the air so that it was not that stuffy in the room. I had checked my in laws room, same problem as we shared the same central aircon system while our kids room was working well, good circulation. What could I say….

Initially, he failed to made it worked n told me he could supply us a fan to circulate the air in the room. My reply was are u sure this hotel was going to supply me a fan? He looked stunned n tried to get the warmer up which he did.

Take note again, we left our room for dinner once this was done n I went to the front desk. I told the front desk lady, I need a good sleep tonight as we need to check out the next day 4.30am to catch our 7am flight. The room was stuffy we need to open the window for better circulation. Her reply just pissed me off which was we can provide u a fan. I sincerely hoped when ur staff could give this reply, do go and stay in this room during the timing I had indicated, closed the window, go for a hot shower first, with a malfunction warmer that don’t circulate and tried to have a rest.

Let me tell you another joke, when I came back for my dinner, I saw the same technician opp the 6th floor and maybe I was wrong, I believed they had a problem with the warmer as well.

When I got back to my room after dinner, I just want to get my rest n guessed what the warmer was not working again. I was really tired, open the window n tried to rest. Now the noise was a pain and it lasted at least 1am plus. I had closed the window ard 12am plus and tried to sleep without disturbing the front desk. Conclusion was it’s either u had some cold air circulation from the nature plus loud noise or stuffy room with minimal noise.

When I checked out at 4am, another lady was on duty. She said the same thing, now is winter, the setting now is a warmer and we can provide you a fan. This time round, I just told her off. We had 3 rooms and only 1 room’s warmer was working the whole night. Her replied was I could have told the front desk earlier on for a change of room. Seriously, you guys could check ur hotel front desk camera, I told the earlier front desk that I don’t want to waste my time to change rooms since I’m just staying a few hours before we leave for our flight home. Did she bothered, nope…

In summary, it’s the attitude I’m looking for which I didn’t see at all. It’s the first time I had known a 5 star rating hotel will provide you a fan when their warmer is malfunctioning. If we only had 1 room for that night or if we didn’t stay another perfect night on our first day in Kunming, i could have sucked thumb and blamed on my bad luck. Do also note that every time when we pressed the lift button on the fifth floor, we would get electrocuted. Probably this was why the warmer got problem too.

Hotel room manager, do walk your ground first and put yourself in ur customer shoes. Thanks.
