Zhongwei Green Lake Hotel in Kunming

Great location, right across from Cuihu Lake and next to Huangguandong Street. It's super convenient for walks around the lake and finding places to eat. The room type I stayed in didn't have a separate shower, just a shower in the bathtub, which felt a bit dated. But the service was enthusiastic, and overall it was still pretty good.

The location is superb, right by Cuihu South Road. All the main landmarks, attractions, and dining options around Cuihu Lake are within a 5-minute walk. The breakfast was just so-so, with too few options. The bread and pastries were terrible, like something bought from a regular supermarket and just put out. The coffee wasn't good either. Even fewer hot dishes were available. It really didn't match the hotel's star rating at all. The hotel facilities are relatively old, but the room was very spacious. Checkout was a bit early, and I requested a late checkout, but could only get until 1 PM.

For my trip to Yunnan, choosing Cuihu Hotel in Kunming was definitely the best decision. Its location near Cuihu Park is fantastic; a morning stroll in the park to admire the tulips was absolutely delightful. Plus, it's a pleasant walk to all the popular spots, internet-famous attractions, and delicious Yunnan eateries. I have to mention that Cuihu Hotel's decor is grand and high-quality, with rooms featuring celadon and mahogany furniture, combined with super soft and comfortable bedding that made my stay warm and pleasant. Next time I'm in Kunming, Cuihu Hotel will be my first choice again.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly! They gave my mom and me a welcome rose each, which was a lovely touch and brightened our day. Seeing that I had two children, they thoughtfully provided two sets of kids' toiletries. All the other front desk staff were super nice too! The doorman at the entrance was also fantastic, promptly helping us with our luggage.

The housekeeping staff were very kind and friendly as well. In my parents' room, they noticed the fruit wasn't fresh and specifically changed it out for fresh fruit from the day. In the evening, there was even peach gum sweet soup for a late-night snack, and any requests for room service were attended to promptly. Service definitely gets a perfect score!

However, the room space was a bit small, and the overall facilities were relatively old. The bathroom exhaust fan seemed to be out of order, and the weighing scale was broken. There wasn't a separate shower, so we had to shower in the bathtub, which was a bit inconvenient (especially not very friendly for older guests).

But these minor issues didn't overshadow the experience. The hotel's location is unbeatable, directly facing Cuihu Park. You step out and you're right in front of a scenic spot, with different attractions and various eateries conveniently located on both sides. On the night we stayed, we even stumbled upon the Cui Sheng Sheng Music Corner right outside the hotel, and this wonderful musical encounter made our night even more beautiful. My trip to Kunming was just fantastic! This time, it was just a one-night stay as a transit stop, but next time, I must specifically plan to stay in Kunming for several days.

The room was tidy and clean. The facilities are a bit old, but everything works well. The lobby staff were very polite, patient, and friendly in answering questions. The front desk service was also very meticulous and attentive. A big thank you to the front desk staff on duty who helped me get my invoice promptly!

Staying at the Cuihu Hotel again after 20 years was an amazing experience! It was the most satisfying hotel of our entire Yunnan trip. The hotel's overall decor is incredibly high-end and grand, both retro and luxurious. The service was exceptionally attentive, making us feel truly pampered. If we ever come back to Kunming, we'll definitely choose Cuihu again.

The hotel facilities are quite old, but the location is excellent, making it super convenient to get around. It's right next to Huang Gong Dong Street and Cuihu Lake, perfect for a city walk.

The vintage vibe is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the location is superb. Cuihu Park is right downstairs, and there are several must-try restaurants nearby. Thumbs up! 👍

The hotel has an elegant ambiance, the front desk service is attentive, and the facilities are complete. The only downside is that the room is a bit small, but overall it's still very good! Highly recommended!!!!
