This residence is in a great, central location, and despite this, it wasn't noisy inside. Good double glazing! We stayed in a twin room. Beds were comfy, there was a spare blanket (it's a chilly winter), and the shower was decent. It is a self check-in, so be aware there may not be someone in the foyer to ask any questions to.

This place underwent NEW management. It was a nightmare trying to check in. The cleaning lady helped us for over 2 hrs. She used her phone to call her “ boss” who told us we had to register with an outside agency. We had to sign off on forms that told us we would be fined for ….. a list of items, including the trash. Not sure how we are to handle that. The room has ONE small waste basket in the bathroom. We booked two single beds, but after 2 hours of chaos we got a room ( with help from cleaning lady) it was the wrong room. We had to restart the process ALL over again. Please check this out BEFORE you book.

This place changed ownership and management. It does not offer breakfast. The litany of messages received *after* check-in with rules about how to get rid of your own trash (through adjacent restaurant kitchen, etc) would scare anyone away if you knew ahead of time. Nobody actually here. Nobody answers phone at number they give you. Only messaging. The company managing this is out of their depth.
Great location, yes. Comfortable bed, yes. Still have welcome booklet from previous owner in room saying free breakfast. Alas.
WiFi password in book is wrong. The wifi they told us to log into doesn't configure. Then they messaged saying oh, try this password.
It is above a club. You also ought to know that. Loud till 2 am.
This place could be really great. It is not.

Rooms are nice size but the water in the shower flows out the shower, breakfast service was poor, limited choices to pick with no fresh bread and cool coffee. The location was very good but since it is a pedestrian area was difficult for taxi to drop off closer to the hotel.

Overpriced. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was just acceptable. BUT, located in the noisiest part of the noisiest street in Zagreb. The bar NEXT DOOR played LOUD music until 4AM. Other bars across the street played music till 2AM, but luckily with our room at the back, we couldn't hear them. If you want somewhere central but not NOISY with electronic music, DON'T stay here. If you want to party till 4AM then this would be a good choice.

We were very disappointed with this choice. We arrived during a very warm afternoon - the air conditioner was not working (responding). I reached out to ask for help. A response came and I had already tried to do what was suggested. After trying and waiting for some time I had to reach out again to ask for some assistance. Opening windows was not an option due to the heat. The response I received was curt and basically said "'do what I already said and it will work". We tried for close to an hour and finally asked for someone to come to the room as it was not working. This request was not responded to. After some more time passed with no assistance, we sent a follow up message asking for some help or we would need to relocate. No response. In the end we left and went to anther hotel. No apology or explanation was forth coming.

The Regal Residence is on a pedestrian street just off the main square in the city, Trg bana Josip Jelacic. It could not be more central. The street is lined with restaurants and bars frequented by young and old together. A really exciting vibe. The room was very well decorated and maintained. Breakfast in the basement was good,

Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. Note that it is situated right next to the street with restaurants and bars so the music and noise will be present in the rooms, at least during the weekends.
