Simply one of the best hotel experiences ever! I did not go to the restaurant because there are so many other places to eat. Very nice hotel and very pleasant service. The only downside was the bedding; this is just my personal opinion, but I didn't sleep much despite the superb setting because the mattress was really, really too soft. Unfortunate, but a firm mattress is very important to me... Thank you for everything else, and if you have a firm mattress option, I will come back as soon as possible.

We had booked 2 superior rooms, on check-in one of the rooms was less than 15 feet from the main entrance and lobby, it had only one window so high that it could not be opened, and A/C was off for the season even though outside temps were warm.

This is a very old hotel, very expensive, and not worth the cost. We had a suite on the 5th floor. The elevator only goes to the 4th so there were 20 steps to climb each time you went to your room. Because it is located right in front of Colmar Station, it is a very good hotel for those arriving late at night. The tourist attractions are also about a 15-minute walk away. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options and was very satisfying. However, the room felt a bit old, which was disappointing. The shower water pressure was weak, and the hair dryer was quite old with low airflow.

Ribeauville is a wonderful small town in the Alsace region. The L'Hotel and Spa complimented our lovely stay in this beautiful town. The spa was a great bonus and perfectly clean. A gorgeous hotel in an excellent location. There was nothing to fault with Le Bouclier D'or. Our deluxe room at the top of the hotel was one of the nicest we've ever stayed in with plenty of space, everything we needed and being very comfortable. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and offers very, very dated and poorly cleaned rooms for these promotions! I absolutely do not recommend it until all the rooms are renovated... On the other hand, the staff is impeccable.

The room was so small, we could barely get around in it, and we aren’t large people. The Marechal is a very scenic, romantic 4* hotel right next to the "Little Venice" of Colmar. The rooms are cozy, service is fantastic and so is the food in the adjacent restaurant. Absolutely worth the stay, although in need of some renovation. However there was some overhaul going on, while we were there so that may have happened in the meantime? We enjoyed our time there a lot, either way.
