the shampoo and conditioner is quite drying and doesnt work well if you come from a more humid country. byo? theres a small supermarket nearby and area is quite walkable to the main tourist attractions

hotel was great! room is big enough to open two lugagges. shower was great, heated but the shower head doesnt stay in place, so you can only hold onto it while bathing. otherwise, use the rain shower

Really good hotel close to the city centre of Strasbourg. Our room was on the last floor and very clean with a comfy bed. I recommend you to use the spa. The gym could have more machines

a mall nearby as well but didnt check that out. bedroom amenities are provided upon request. even though the ac didnt work at first but serviceman came by quickly to rectify

No need to say the room spotless clean The staff is super friendly at the frontdesk even when its crowded. The breakfast is extraordinary

The decoration of the room is very stylish, attention to details and makes you feel comfortable. The mattress firm and of good quality

There was a very brash tall lady who wore glasses on reception who was rude, ignorant and officious with me which spoiled my holiday. Restaurant staff, porters and housekeeping staff were great

Thankfully they let us have a different room the following day but this should never have happened

We will never return I'm afraid

The location & view from the room is excellent and the amenities - spa, bar and a reputable restaurant - have potential, but the overall experience fell short of the 5-star standard the hotel advertises

At check-in we were informed that the restaurant was fully booked and that room-service orders had to be placed by 5pm. With check-in from 4pm, this cut-off seems unreasonable for a 5-star property

Upon arrival, I walked in carrying two suitcases. Although a doorman and several staff members were present, there was no greeting and no offer of assistance as I carried the bags across the lobby

A wonderful hotel, with pleasant complimentary tea, coffee, a robe, and slippers in the room. Wonderful spa, large pool, Turkish hammam, and sauna. The breakfasts were a complete disappointment, which is surprising

The room was nice and well-equipped. The swimming pool and Turkish bath were very nice.

Super hotel and super centrally located. You can reach everything on foot. The staff is very helpful and friendly. 😊 We had the room "Junior Suite" and it was just perfect. Super much space, very clean and just great

It was a shame there was no parking. We could park our car in a nearby parking lot. We stayed in the building above the main building. Apparently, it was the newer section. Breakfast and the spa were also there

There's literally nothing, nothing is done upon request, it feels like they're pulling food out of supermarket bags. The staff, instead of helping, wait for you to lose your patience and just leave

A super nice hotel in a great location. Quiet yet close to the city center. A very tasty and extensive breakfast buffet. Nice room and comfortable bed. Apparently, the hotel had excellent food in a very pleasant setting

They refer to a bar for snacks which was constantly unattended. To finalize, the Wifi is so unusable slow (starts with the Capture) portal that its impossible to work with, you need your own data plan

Great quality restaurant connected to the Hotel l'Europe. We stayed for one night during our trip and had a relaxing dinner there (with babyphone) while our kids were sleeping in the room

Things that i wish the hotel probably can improve is the beds, unfortunately it’s not comfortable at all, the other hand is we still can hear the vehicles, bird chirping and people talking outside of our room even the windows are closed and it’s not comfortable at all in the evening to sleep

What I found lacking were the room toiletries - there is only basic soap provided, no lotion or hair conditioner, and also no paper tissues. Would expect more toiletries provided in a 4 stars hotel

I was upgraded to a suite unexpectedly. I highly recommend booking with them through their website for the best service

There were some dried blood stains on the bed sheets though for our first night. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Comfort: 4/5 - It was a fairly comfortable bed and not that tiny of a room

Lovely, cozy, beautiful hotel, with modern rooms, fitted with all you need, USB-plugs, very cool night light, great free showers without curtains needed, awesome beds with two different pilllows, a coffee machine and a lovely assortment of teas

They have a living room with a pool table and we used it with our dog, just to chill after the day walking around the Xmas markets ? ? it was very comfy and quiet

It's a 4-minute walk from Strasbourg Station. It's close to the station, but in a quiet area. There are many restaurants nearby. It's a great place to stay if you're planning to travel to places like Colmar or Paris

The hotel is excellent. The location is good. Walking distance from the station. The center is within walking distance. The staff is friendly. They explain everything. The window opened. The bed is comfortable.

This hotel is very conveniently located near the train station and city center, making it easy to get around. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the recently renovated rooms were clean and comfortable

The carpet near the bar in the room was wet for most of the time, maybe the previous occupant spilled some water. Other than that, all is very satisfaying, the receptionists are super professional

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few hundred meters' walk to the Old Town. It really should have a swimming pool. The room was very spacious and clean, and the staff were warm and attentive

There were quite a few tourists at the attractions, and the open restaurants had long queues. The hotel's parking lot was quite spacious

The room was nice, with a balcony and furniture. I arrived on a Sunday, so almost all shops were closed except for a few restaurants

One of the negative things I can say is that the room especially the floor of it was not warm enough. They didn’t clean and tidy the room and change the tea, coffee bags after each day. This disappoints me very much

And it is covered in a closet which is very cool. We stayed in a room located in the ground floor. It has direct access to car park. The room was wide enough for 2 people. Bathroom was clean but was not new

Our room was spacious enough for two adults and four full-sized suitcases, which we really appreciated during a longer stay. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. The only downside was the noise level at night

The room isn't huge, but it has everything you need. The best part is the location; you can walk to Strasbourg Cathedral. The front desk staff was also very friendly and proactively offered tips about the area

Great location, very convenient and good sized rooms for family of three. They converted the sofa into single bed for kid and we had a comfortable stay with good space for luggage and everything else

Even though we were on the 5th floor, we could still hear people shouting and talking loudly outside as late as 3 a. , which made it harder to sleep on some nights

As expected during the holiday season, the hotel is quite expensive, but if you love Christmas and the festive markets, it’s something you just have to accept

It’s about a 10–15 minute walk to the Christmas markets and roughly 10 minutes to the main train station, which made getting around incredibly convenient

The kitchen is fully equipped, with kettle, microwave and dishwasher (even the dishwasher tablets were provided). The dining room is spacious and even with the sofa bed open, there was plenty of space

On the downside, daily room cleaning costs extra, and the check-in (after 15:00) / check-out (before 11:00) times feel a bit strict. A little more guest-friendly flexibility would make the stay even better

It’s only a few steps from the Christmas mark and it’s 10 minutes walk from the train station. Thank you so much for the coffee machine and the water and the water machine as well

The only thing I missed was having larger mugs for tea — the tea glasses were a bit too small for my husband and me. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and I cannot give them less than 5 stars

We had booked a premium room, which was quite spacious and included some delicious local Alsace snacks and drinks — a really nice touch. The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay

From the hotel, you can easily walk to the city centre and most of the main sightseeing spots. The breakfast offered a good variety, with both hot and cold options as well as drinks

When driving to the hotel parking house you have to enter the pedestrian zone on the right side of the hotel and will see the entrance right away around the corner. The only bad experience is the parking house

This is a very nice hotel located in the city center. Everything is in walking distance. The rooms are very nice and clean, well equipped. Staff is very friendly and english speaking

Missed our train connection We missed our connection and needed a room for one night. The staff were very accomodating, room was nicely appointed. Near a large park and nice restaurants. Highly recommended.

The room and bathroom are fine, but I'm not a fan of showering in the bathtub. The breakfast, for a whopping 19 euros, was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, there was no gluten-free bread either!

One small drawback: the piano bar is closed on Sunday evenings, the only night I was there, and I couldn't access the terrace even to smoke, as I was forced to smoke in front of the entrance

It's the second time I stayed there, and I really find it magical. It's located in the center of Mulhouse, the decoration and vibe is art deco 20-30s + super American Christmas deco

Great location. Very friendly staff. Room was spacious. Great breakfast. Great art deco atmosphere all around. However, some furniture are dated and need to be updated.

The room was clean, modern and featured a large TV. The room was fairly compact but comfortable. The excellent bathroom had a large shower. Breakfast was 15 euros per person but well worth it with a good choice of items

Hot food featured bacon, sausages and scrambled egg. Unlike many hotels there was numerous coffee machines so no queues. The modern reception featured a bar which was open late

Great hotel near to Petite Venise. Recently rebuilt to high standard and its own parking garage. Room great and breakfast superb.

The hotel is in a great location, just a 5-minute walk to the center of Colmar. The room was very spacious, beautifully designed, and spotless – the entire hotel is exceptionally clean, even though pets are allowed

I recommend it to anyone visiting the Christmas markets. There's a bus and tram stop right outside and to the side of the hotel, which makes it very convenient

Although it's a few kilometers from the center, it's located on a main road that makes it very easy to get to and around the city

honestly quite upset because there was a construction going on early in the morning and the drilling woke me up which was really annoying. should’ve informed us during check in that there would be such work going on

Very satisfied. The children like the small bed in the room. There is also a small balcony where you can see the street view of the city center. It is a good experience.

What don't people like? Standard hotel, triple room with balcony, we live great! We haven’t eaten breakfast yet, but everyone likes it, so 5 points :)

Also, google Maps does not bring you to the front of the hotel, needs to do an illegal turn to get to the front of the hotel to unload luggage

As we didn't know there's a need to make a reservation for parking, we got to park somewhere nearby and a walking distance away

We enjoyed the balneo & Spa withe a meal et the restaurant Le Belvédère. Meal there are afordable but quality could be improved, plus the room température was a bit chill for a bath suite and a towel.

The motion sensor in the toilet meant we didn't have to leave a night on all night which was brilliant. The sports bar was a bit bright and loud but totally understand that it has to cater to locals

Perfect stay We had a perfect vacation! From the friendly welcome, to the spacious and beautifully equipped room and the amazing spa. The dinner at the hotel's restaurant was also excellent!

Very nice hotel and very pleasant service. The only downside was the bedding; this is just my personal opinion, but I didn't sleep much despite the superb setting because the mattress was really, really too soft

The hotel is perfectly located in the city center and close to a tram stop. The breakfast was plentiful, and the staff was friendly. The rooms are very large and clean. We highly recommend this hotel.

We'd never seen anything like this before; it was fantastic, so excellent service! We didn't book breakfast to maintain our weight 🤨. Across from the hotel is a bakery with delicious croissants

Wonderful hotel on a very good location in Colmar. Little Venice is just around the corner. I had a room across the street. It had a separate sitting room, beautiful bathroom and very comfortable bed

The hotel is very unique and the location is very convenient. There is everything when you go out, but parking is so hard! There is no parking lot. It is too difficult to find a parking lot nearby

Despite the age of the building, the rooms have been renovated to a high standard, with modern furniture, bathrooms, and comfortable beds. The room we stayed in also included a Nespresso machine

This beautiful old townhouse is located right in the heart of Colmar's photogenic Little Venice, right next to the canal. Almost everything historic is within walking distance from this hotel

The room is super small and the bed is so small that you can't turn over. The view outside the window is pretty good

The washroom was perfect and the heated towel rods were much appreciated!

The rooms are good, spacious and newly decorated. The breakfast is also sufficient and you get almost everything that a hotel would serve at the breakfast. In general I totally recommend Hotel Gutenberg

We stayed here over Christmas Eve and day during our trip to Strasbourg. It's in an ideal location and walkable to all the sites. The front desk staff were lovely and very helpful during our stay

I would like to thank especially Massimo for his proactive approach when we had a small issue with our room. At Christmas time, they were serving Gluhwine at the reception which was highly appreciated in the cold days

The check in and front desk staff are well conversant in English which made this anglophone very comfortable, at ease, and very welcome. The room was lovely with a great bed and linens

The hotel itself was well appointed and very clean. The only negative I experienced was that I could feel the springs in the firm mattress but I was still able to get a good rest

The area was centrally located near public transportation which made it easy to go to/from city center.

This is a no frills hotel which is fine, but worth no where near the €250 a night we paid. The breakfast was nice and well located near tram stations

I liked it! The breakfast was very good and varied.

The city center can be reached via tram line A. The stop is a 5-minute walk away and the ride is a 10-minute walk. Therefore, it's absolutely fine if you don't absolutely need to stay in the city center
