Nice stay in Strasbourg The Sofitel is well located in Strasbourg, close to all the major attractions and public transport. The staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel is somewhat worn in places with stained carpets in corridors and room lobbies. Bed was clean and comfortable and the room was quiet.

The perfect high end hotel for Strasbourg. Immaculate, clean, well decorated and the staff was as open and helpful as could be. We arrived at the hotel 13:30 pm and the receptionist lady with glasses simply told us that we should take the room at 3 without even trying to see if there was possibility to get our room earlier. I wanted to share my opinion of this hotel, we stayed 2 nights and it was good. Things that i wish the hotel probably can improve is the beds, unfortunately it’s not comfortable at all, the other hand is we still can hear the vehicles, bird chirping and people talking outside of our room even the windows are closed and it’s not comfortable at all in the evening to sleep. Hotel has just been renovated. The location is good albeit on the outskirts of the town but this isn’t a problem. The main issue for me was the lack of temperature control and the extremely uncomfortable bedding. I barely slept for 3 nights we were there. The pillows may as well not be pillows. We had originally intended to stay at the Mercure Colmar last Christmas. Due to a family emergency we had to change our plans and stayed at the hotel in September. We were in a Privilege Room and it was so nice and well located where we didn’t have any noise or traffic from other guests. The hotel could do with a little updating on a few small details, but overall it's magnificent, with tasteful decor, perfect staff, and a fabulous breakfast. One small drawback: the piano bar is closed on Sunday evenings, the only night I was there, and I couldn't access the terrace even to smoke, as I was forced to smoke in front of the entrance.

Very nice hotel and very pleasant service. The only downside was the bedding; this is just my personal opinion, but I didn't sleep much despite the superb setting because the mattress was really, really too soft. Unfortunate, but a firm mattress is very important to me... Thank you for everything else, and if you have a firm mattress option, I will come back as soon as possible.

This is a very old hotel, very expensive, and not worth the cost. We had a suite on the 5th floor. The elevator only goes to the 4th so there were 20 steps to climb each time you went to your room. It could be an issue for some people. The people are very nice; it's just totally overpriced for what it is. I wouldn't recommend it.

Because it is located right in front of Colmar Station, it is a very good hotel for those arriving late at night. The tourist attractions are also about a 15-minute walk away. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options and was very satisfying. However, the room felt a bit old, which was disappointing. The shower water pressure was weak, and the hair dryer was quite old with low airflow.

Ribeauville is a wonderful small town in the Alsace region. The L'Hotel and Spa complimented our lovely stay in this beautiful town. The spa was a great bonus and perfectly clean. A gorgeous hotel in an excellent location. There was nothing to fault with Le Bouclier D'or. Our deluxe room at the top of the hotel was one of the nicest we've ever stayed in with plenty of space, everything we needed and being very comfortable. However it should be made clearer that the spa/sauna/pool are not included in the hotel price, and that a supplement is required of 20€ per hour of use of the spa.
