Family Golf Hotel in Royan

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We already hope to stay here again next year. The room was beautiful and spacious, the balcony, the windows, the blinds and curtains are perfect. You can open the window to enjoy the breeze and the concerts- you can close to have total darkness and silence. The entire hotel is spotless. The breakfast is so good, the pizzas delicious. The location is so convenient for visiting the beach and this particular section of beach is much cleaner and more spacious than others in Royan we have visited. Also located a short walk from markets, concerts, cathedral, restaurants, and lots of activities for kids. We never got bored. Above all, each person working here is extremely professional but also genuinely kind and cheerful with great attention to detail. You feel immediately at home and cared for in this family hotel which is not something you can find in even the biggest, most expensive resorts. Money cannot buy integrity, it is a rare treasure you can only hope lucky enough to find.

The manager/owner of this hotel is a charming lady who could have done no more to ensure our stay was comfortable, her attention was above and beyond expectations (we were using the hotel as a start and end of our 5 day cycle from Royan to Biarritz so timings were crucial in respect of ferry timings). The hotel is right on the sea front with super views south. We found it to be in very good decorative order and very clean and were able to store our bikes in a locked garage and leave our car on the street all week. The highlight was the excellent breakfast which our host was happy to lay on for 6.45am! And what a breakfast it was, just what we needed to start our 55 mile first day on the ‘Velodyssee’

Since I was traveling alone, I booked a single room. The room didn’t have a terrace, but there is a sea view from the window. It wasn’t very big, but it was very clean. The beautiful coastal walkway is right in front of the hotel, and the service was great.

Fantastic hotel! 30 seconds to the beach and with an amazing team that greeted us from the second we walked into the building until we left.

The hotel is incredibly clean from the terrace to our room even to the balcony it was spotless.

All the staff spoke English but were happy to speak to me in my pidgin French without appearing frustrated. Honestly can't thank the staff enough they really make this place.

We arrived, were brought to our room shown how to use everything. I didn't really understand a notice. It was about not smoking in the room. So I asked could I smoke on the balcony. Turns out the sign said I could but not inside. The girl laughed and said of course and we have the Ash tray behind the sign.

The view from the balcony was fantastic we didn't want to leave and the hotel encourages you to use it and even offers 24 hour room service with drinks for this purpose.

For breakfast we decided to have room service for breakfast. It was huge we just took the continental which was more than enough for 2 people.

We even stopped to purchase a picture from their shop of local artists on the way to check out.

This hotel deserves more than 3 stars honestly whenever we are in Royan this is where we will stay.

We first stayed her some five or six years ago. It was lovely then and was this time as well. It’s been refreshed as well in terms of decor. Staff very polite and helpful, rooms clean and tidy. We had the breakfast which for 15 euro was excellent with a mix of table and self service and so much choice. And they do gluten free bread. We’d definitely go again.

I stayed here for one night on a cycling trip. It's a nice well maintained hotel on the sea front. The location is pretty much perfect and I would think a sea view room would be amazing. My room was cheaper and at the back but very comfortable and well maintained. It was quiet, the bed was very comfortable. The shower and everything worked well and the free soaps and things are of a high quality. If I was critical the bathroom is minimally small but really it's fine. The lady in the reception and at breakfast was super charming and friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, lots of choice, all high quality products. I would recommend staying here and would stay here again.

Great place lovely family room. The staff, especially the lady on reception were fantastic. She booked a lovely restaurant for my husbands birthday and was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good too.

It's so well placed that beach, downtown or seafront are close by foot
Rooms are small (like many in Europe) and breakfast offers a good choice and coffee is served at your table.
Regrets in the time we were here : a awful diesel or fuel odor was not exciting when going to the dinning room.

Lovely hotel on the seafront at Royan, some rooms have sea views with a terrace. Breakfast was extra but plentiful and could be taken in tour room or on the terrace overlooking the beach. The hotel had lifts and wide hall ways. Room was clean and tidy if a little small but adequate for a nights stay.
