Had a great time at the Mercure centre ville and stayed for 3 nights. Exceptional service from the reception and cleaning staff. My girl left her stuff on her side of the bed during the day and staff left her stuff untouched which was great and they left her side of the bed unmade but they still made the effort to make my side of the bed. Nice stay for 2 nights in Bordeaux with family. It is convenient coming by car and is there is a paid parking in the shopping Center next to the hotel. Not at the heart but only 10 min walking distance from old town. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

House keeping did not replenish black tea and enough cream despite requesting on 2 occasions. In a family room for 3, only 2 bottles of water and 2 chocolates were left each day. My friend booked a room on the same day for 500 yuan cheaper than me and included breakfast. I feel like I got a bad deal by booking in advance. The hotel does not have free parking, which was not beyond my expectations.

I would suggest bath mats in the shower particularly for older people, once the water has hit the shower it tends to be a bit slippery. We stayed here while visiting for the Olympics and it just so happened to be the same hotel where the Men's and Women's Spanish National Soccer teams were staying! The hotel is beautiful and a close walk to the river trams, with plenty of dining/shopping options nearby.

Ultimately a functional and very basic / spartan room. No frills. Have to put a deposit to get the hairdryer. Was glad that the a/c worked well enough and there was lift to every floor. You can top up water at the restaurant.

The hotel requires several passcode to enter various gates, and they change the passcodes on different days. It is quite inconvenient for customers to bring along the passcode sheet and see which gate requires which passcode on which day. And the attendants did not clean our room as requested.

The location is quite good: the bus is very close, tram B is not far. The city center is in walkable distance.There's some shops and restaurants around. I have nothing to complain about. As the hotel was originally built by Napoleon III for his empress, it carries great historical significance and an exceptional sense of luxury. This is truly what one would call a “luxury hotel.” Moreover, the spa and hotel facilities are excellent, and I felt that even during the off-season or in less favorable weather, guests can fully enjoy their stay at the hotel. Come to the Brasserie for dinner. It doesn’t disappoint. Especially if you dine on the terrace or window side. I stayed here a few years back, and the room was lovely, breakfast exquisite. I came back just to dine this last summer and the terrace at sunset was incredible! Definitely worth a visit while in Biarritz!

What a special experience. We had Brunch on Sunday and what a fantastic experience. We were greeted and served by a wonderful team and the food was outstanding. Carla, Romain, Amory and M Griffon were the members of staff we met but we could see that this was such a well run Restaurant!. If you want an out of World experience then I would highly recommend a Sunday here.

Honestly loved this hotel, the bed was soft and comfy, the room was small but not too small, I had room for my luggage and everything. The room was OK. It rained during our stay, and the first room we were given had a strong odor. It was fine after we changed the room, but the air conditioner didn't work, and the room was quite cold. The bathroom heater didn't heat the room the next day. When checking in, we had to show our credit card, but we just touched the card and didn't know what it was for. Nothing else.
