Beautiful hotel and very large room and bath. Comfortable bed and well appointed with amenities. It is a 35-40 minute walk to the historic center.

The hotel is okay at best. Staff was extremely rude and not helpful. Room was not clean, especially toilets and bathroom. Does not really fits the 4* claim.

We stayed here while visiting for the Olympics and it just so happened to be the same hotel where the Men's and Women's Spanish National Soccer teams were staying! The hotel is beautiful and a close walk to the river trams, with plenty of dining/shopping options nearby.

Had a great time at the Mercure centre ville and stayed for 3 nights. Exceptional service from the reception and cleaning staff. My girl left her stuff on her side of the bed during the day and staff left her stuff untouched which was great and they left her side of the bed unmade but they still made the effort to make my side of the bed. The hotel is great! The bar was fun, the tv showed formula one, the rooms had a kettle and coffee pods, had a second door to block noise from the hallway, and caramels! It is in a great location, really easy walking distance to the attractions

It was nice to stay in this hotel and it is near centre ville. The room is clean and they will clean everday. But the amentites are not too many, only basic bar and restaurant. TV is cable channel.

Nice stay for 2 nights in Bordeaux with family. It is convenient coming by car and is there is a paid parking in the shopping Center next to the hotel. Not at the heart but only 10 min walking distance from old town. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

As the hotel was originally built by Napoleon III for his empress, it carries great historical significance and an exceptional sense of luxury. This is truly what one would call a “luxury hotel.” Moreover, the spa and hotel facilities are excellent, and I felt that even during the off-season or in less favorable weather, guests can fully enjoy their stay at the hotel. Come to the Brasserie for dinner. It doesn’t disappoint. Especially if you dine on the terrace or window side. I stayed here a few years back, and the room was lovely, breakfast exquisite. I came back just to dine this last summer and the terrace at sunset was incredible! Definitely worth a visit while in Biarritz!

What a special experience. We had Brunch on Sunday and what a fantastic experience. We were greeted and served by a wonderful team and the food was outstanding. Carla, Romain, Amory and M Griffon were the members of staff we met but we could see that this was such a well run Restaurant!. If you want an out of World experience then I would highly recommend a Sunday here.

This is the budget Ibis so don't expect much. Room was tiny but cosy. Bathroom super small but has a loo, shower and tiny sink that splashes water everywhere. Don't bother with the breakfast though. House keeping did not replenish black tea and enough cream despite requesting on 2 occasions. In a family room for 3, only 2 bottles of water and 2 chocolates were left each day. The hotel has a convenient, central location and offers a generous breakfast spread each morning. However, the gym facilities are quite basic and do not include a treadmill. Additionally, drinking water must be fetched from Level 1, which may be inconvenient for some guests. It has a restaurant inside which gives you a lot of options if you don't want to walk. The room was clean and tidy, but a bit old; the carpet had stains. Double rooms had coffee machines, but single rooms did not. It's located near the city hall, so transportation is convenient. The staff were very polite.

Novotel Hotel is not far from Bordeaux City Hall and Cathedral. There is a large indoor parking lot next to the hotel, from which you can walk directly to the hotel; there are signs. The hotel lobby has a restaurant, which is quite nice; we had dinner there. There is a small supermarket a short distance away. The family rooms are nice. The breakfast is good.

Room wasn’t ready before 3:00 pm even though the front desk said it was vacant. We watched other guests receive immediate access before 3:00. Dirty torn faded carpet with wet spots. Refrigerator door was open on arrival. Shower floor extremely slippery and hazardous. No wash cloths available. Loud music and pounding noise from the fitness center a floor below awakened us in early morning.

The room is spacious and clean. We have to take the tram to go to the city centre. It’s around 5-10 mins walk to the tram station. You can’t control the air con from your room, you have to dial to the reception to change the temperature for you.

I never got to terms with Pau as a town - August is not the time to go I learnt - but the hotel is pleasant, and the staff at reception and in the restaurants are helpful, polite and efficient. On that basis I would happily come back to the hotel and recommend it.

The room was clean and hygienic, and the location was excellent, near the wine museum. Public transport trams were available outside, providing easy access to the city center, and parking was also nearby for those driving.

The hotel was clean and very comfortable and the front desk staff was extremely helpful through the trip. They let us keep one of rooms for a late check out so we could sneak in a little more shopping & lunch before driving home. But perhaps the best thing was the location- can’t be beat! Room was large enough. Other than that, everything was below average.   Bad smelling soap they are using to clean up.  No lotion or conditioner provided. The room smelled all right but the corridor smelled bad all the time.
