Good location.
Hotel is newly renovated n clean.
Excellent hotel, great location. Walking distance to the old town with lots of F&B choices and good Bordeaux vibe. The hotel room are spacious and very mordern, hotel staffs are super friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the stay alot. This will be my destinated hotel every time I come back to Bordeaux!
Lovely hotel in a great spot to see the sites
The location is good ! Front desk service nice !
The room to hot and malfunction of AC
The housekeeping service not super good !
Missing towels paper and not very clean bathroom
The breakfast average for 5 starts hotel and also the seating area not very comfortable for proper breakfast ( seat to low )
Great hotel at Bordeaux. Like the decorations of the rooms and public areas. Would book again next time. Front reception services are good.
The service attitude is very good. The room is newly decorated. Taste online

Hotel is in a great location but it’s looking tired !
Rooms are dull and dark.
Spa looks old and the Gym has black Mold in the ceiling !!
Not what you expect from a 5Star @Sofitel
The receptionists were very nice, accomo
I loved it. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent food. Friendly and helpful staff. Glorious spa and 2 free activities. Indoor and outdoor pools. Overlooking the beach. Short walk to town centre. Some say it needs an external paint job and it does. But that did not spoil my visit.
A large hotel. However, it has outlived its glory days. Many areas require renovation. Prices in bars and restaurants are very high. Breakfasts are plentiful and the service is friendly. Unfortunately, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling.
Had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Sofitel in Biarritz. Rooms are spacious and clean, bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, staff friendly and attentive. The location is unbeatable, with direct access to the promenade and beach, and a very short walk into town. The salt water pool was incredible. The hotel is impeccably maintained: yes the facade is a little dated, but given the...
Sofitel Biarritz - July 2025
Overall the hotel was quite nice. Our room was clean and comfortable, all amenities you need for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful when checking-in. The outdoor pool was also clean. Generally, the hotel was showing signs of needing some refreshing (e.g. rust and peeling paint). Unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience at the spa and would...

Beautiful property and well located. Great staff!
Really enjoyed our visit here. Will definitely recommen to our friends.
Absolutely superb hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a spacious and luxuriously appointed junior suite, lovely to relax in. The staff really can't do enough for you, the front desk are so polite and helpful, recommending and booking restaurants and the night manager is super helpful and friendly. We enjoyed pre dinner drinks in the beautifully appointed lounge. The breakfast and attention to...
This was an absolutely beautiful hotel. Room was very spacious and so NICE! Wonderful to come back to and rest after a long day exploring. Staff was especially kind and welcoming. Top recommendation from us!!!
Rooms were lovely. Bathrooms were fantastic. Breakfast was delicious but very expensive. Staff very nice. Location a little off the beaten path so it was nice and quiet. 10+ minute walk to get to good streets and transit but overall an easy walk. Very safe.
We can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable from arrival, to parking our car, to helping us make winery and restaurant reservations, to making us comfortable and making suggestions. Romane was especially helpful. We felt like we were hanging out with friends. The property and furnishings were very nice. We were upgraded to the Crazy Room, which was...
Beautiful Hotel, with the most helpful staff with excellent English. Delicious breakfast and also does an evening meal on the pretty terrace, perfect if you have travelled far and don’t want to venture too far, although they provided great recommendations nearby for our other nights.

Excellent hotel. Service could be improved.
Fabulous location. Extremely comfortable bedroom. Staff are super friendly. Two small dogs with us enjoyed the fuss, too.
Everything was very good. Not all rooms had slippers.
Perfect welcome, attentive staff who took great care of us.
I recommend this establishment.
The hotel is the only five-star hotel in la Rochelle. It is located in the city center. The hotel staff are very friendly and very patient when checking in. They will also introduce each functional area of the hotel in detail. The room is very spacious, clean and bright, suitable for family travel. I was going to have breakfast outdoors. Sorry, not a 5, maybe 3.5
Not a five-star hotel, or at least, not anymore. The carpet in the hallway is decades old and stained. And there were no pillow cases on two of our pillows.
First thing to say is simple. The staff are an Asset or Liability to ANY business activities. The people manning this lovely ,quirky Hotel fall into the first I am very happy to report. The Hotel was warm ,cosy and welcoming though sparsely occupied. This hotel enjoys what I think few other establishments do- uninterrupted views of 'them thar hills';beautiful. +: Very pretty hotel, very large room with small outdoor table in a calm and relaxing setting. Large and comfortable bed, very clean. Brand new excellent spa. Beauty/hygiene accessories provided.

Hard to say what it is about this place, but we found it enchanting. Somewhat quirky. Very peaceful and pretty. Definitely memorable. Nice meals and friendly staff.
This hotel is fantastic!!
I really loved it here. The spa was small but nice, there's an outdoor pool in a very lovely garden. I had a massage and scrub treatment. Which was wonderful!

wonderful hotel with classic but spacious rooms and bathrooms with full bath and separate shower. nice and clean. good bed’ nice sized swimming pool, small but ok sauna and steambath. big wirlpool
I never got to terms with Pau as a town - August is not the time to go I learnt - but the hotel is pleasant, and the staff at reception and in the restaurants are helpful, polite and efficient. On that basis I would happily come back to the hotel and recommend it.
A very nice hotel in a great location for exploring Pau. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, but didn't have a balcony and faced the car park, which was disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Also, the pool and spa area was advertised as open every day, but was closed on the Monday when we stayed, again disappointing. Plenty of car parking, either outside or in the underground garage, although...

Paul R. from concierge was amazing. He planned our upscale trip to Medoc region and also scrambled to set up a great day for us in St. Emillion. We could not have done it without him. We highly recommend this hotel for their customer service and location.
Splendid hotel and well located in old city. The staff were exceptional. Always very friendly and helpful. The English concierge ( who spoke fluent French ) gave us some great tips on nearby restaurants and recommended a wonderful wine tour to the left and right bank which was so informative and personal. Money well spent !! I would highly recommend this hotel in such a vibrant and beautiful city....
Overall the stay was great! Bed was comfortable and the accommodations were great for a hotel in the city. I didn’t rate it 5 stars because the front desk knew that we were parking but didn’t give us the pass to park so we had to paid full price. BUT they did help by comping the next days parking and gave us food recommendations in St Emillion.
The staff in all areas were very attentive. Our room was interesting with a large tub taking up much of the floor space but other than that fantastic. Everything was clean. We enjoyed the turndown service getting fresh towels and minibar restock. Robes and slippers were nice. Breakfast about average for hotels of this class in France. Although they did offer champagne we didn’t see anyone drinking...
The staff was great and the conceierge was extremely helpful in finding us a reputable tour guide to take us around Bordeaux . The guide was a local man who spoke decent English and spent an entire day with us. He was fantastic !!!

Perfect location and services! The receptionist is very friendly and offered me the best available room.
Top notch staff. Fantastic customer service from everyone we came in contact with. The only drawback was the size of the room. Way too small and crowded.
Room was updated but very very small. Staff were excellent. We enjoyed the welcome canele and the complementary mini bar abd tea/coffee. The hotel is centrally located.
We had a wonderful experience during our recent stay at Villas Foch. Staff service was exceptional, it truly made our trip memorable.
The stuff was amazing. The room was so clean and they offered you a free mini bar with snacks and water and juices. They have a small gym with a pool and a steam room and sauna it is amazing. Had a great time at the Mercure centre ville and stayed for 3 nights. Exceptional service from the reception and cleaning staff. My girl left her stuff on her side of the bed during the day and staff left her stuff untouched which was great and they left her side of the bed unmade but they still made the effort to make my side of the bed. Amazing attention to detail. Thanks to everyone.

The hotel is great! The bar was fun, the tv showed formula one, the rooms had a kettle and coffee pods, had a second door to block noise from the hallway, and caramels!
It is in a great location, really easy walking distance to the attractions
It was nice to stay in this hotel and it is near centre ville. The room is clean and they will clean everday. But the amentites are not too many, only basic bar and restaurant. TV is cable channel.

Everything was great, from the facilities to the service, couldn't ask for more. The only minor downside was the limited variety at breakfast.

I couldn’t believe the toilet wasn’t flushed when I entered the room, but the rest was no problem.
Very environmentally-oriented, aesthetically pleasing, good gym, excellent breakfasts and dinners. Need to put non-alcoholic wines on the menu.
Pretty nice ‘Indigo’ experience. Nice reception and service, especially the very sweet offer of complimentary croissants and pastries leaving on GF at the morning time, let the busy travelers just to grab and go for a simple breakfast. Overall a quite happy stay there, especially if you like running at the morning, it’s just steps away from the podium along the Gironne River, which is so beautiful
The rooms are nice. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. My wife found a small bug on the bed. It wasn’t a bed bug but the staff was nice enough to change our rooms. We like this place. Really convenient to the train station, reasonable price, comfortable quiet room (king bed, very comfortable) friendly helpful staff, nice restaurant.
I would suggest bath mats in the shower particularly for older people, once the water has hit the shower it tends to be a bit slippery.
I would also suggest that perhaps down at the barrier area they might introduce fries so that you can have just snacks with your drinks rather than food.
Additionally, while it was warm outside, depending on the type of year, the air conditioning at that level was...

Beautiful hotel and very large room and bath. Comfortable bed and well appointed with amenities. It is a 35-40 minute walk to the historic center.
The hotel is okay at best. Staff was extremely rude and not helpful. Room was not clean, especially toilets and bathroom. Does not really fits the 4* claim.

It's very close to the train station, just a few minutes' walk, perfect for catching an early train. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from the city center. Overall, the rooms are relatively spacious but comfortable.
If you don't like red wine, I wouldn't recommend the medieval town. You absolutely must go to Akashon for oysters—delicious and inexpensive! The sand dunes are also well worth visiting
Hotel was in a great place for train station. Room size was big, bed was big and shower was spacious. Suoer clean and worked well for our stay.
Perfect hotel next to the train station. Was choosing between Mercure and Hotel 56 (even booked it first) and difference is grand. Mercure is so much better. Friendly stuff, good amenities. I also left some clothes in the room and they quickly found it and packed it for me. Recommended!

Breakfast was very good, however the staff were very very prompt in closing down the service, switching of the lights while we were still finishing our breakfast.
Only 1 person at the front desk spoke any English.
But definitely recommend this hotel.
I was very disappointed with my stay in Bordeaux. The room had an unpleasant smell, the hair dryer didn’t work, and the entire property is in need of serious renovation. It’s definitely not a 4-star hotel as advertised — more like a 2.5 to 3-star at best. The location might be convenient, but the overall experience did not meet expectations. I would not stay here again unless major improvements are...
Room wasn’t ready before 3:00 pm even though the front desk said it was vacant. We watched other guests receive immediate access before 3:00. Dirty torn faded carpet with wet spots. Refrigerator door was open on arrival. Shower floor extremely slippery and hazardous. No wash cloths available. Loud music and pounding noise from the fitness center a floor below awakened us in early morning.
Great location to visit LaCité du Vin and Les Bassins de Lumières. Many dining options nearby.
The room is spacious and clean. We have to take the tram to go to the city centre. It’s around 5-10 mins walk to the tram station. You can’t control the air con from your room, you have to dial to the reception to change the temperature for you.
This hotel was great. A few bugs trying to figure out the parking garage but the staff was super helpful. The rooftop bar/restaurant was our favorite place every evening with wonderful views of the German submarine pens and the Cite de Vin. We drove the first 2 days to city center but walked along the water to Cite du Vin and found the tram station. So much easier to take the tram. Staff was so kind...

The hotel is quite near Gare de Bordeaux St Jean, about 10 minutes’ light walking distance away. The hotel is neat and tidy. It provides free apples upon check-in. There’s a mix-up about breakfast, which I was almost charged for upon check-out when the staff at check-in mentioned all was already included in my booking (city tax and breakfast). She even mentioned dinner was included. Thankfully, I checked...
Really good room. Very friendly and English speaking staff. Really helpful. Room and bathroom were vey clean and comfortable. 4 min walk away from Tram station and right next to a bus stop, 10 mins away from St Jean station
Radisson has become my preferred hotel when traveling around the world.
That simple. All you need driven by super professional people.
Had a great stay there and the staff were very friendly and supportive. Specially Elise and front desk team .thank you for your service and keep that up team Radisson
Location perfect, staff will go out of their way to make your stay memorable, Simon at the bar is a nice guy to meet, Infact I felt at home at this property.
Lovely hotel room, a really decent size. We loved the decor and the modern style.
I liked the location. Right next to a main station and there was a bus to and from the main part of town.
My only negative is that, for a 4 star hotel I expected just a bit more. I needed an iron but had to collect it myself and take it to my room. There was also a lot of door banging and hoovering before 9am, even...

The room is very cute! It’s close to the wine museum
A very new and upscale French hotel, living up to the Renaissance brand. The rooms were new, and the amenities were excellent, especially the body lotion and conditioner. The bedding was also very comfortable.
The hotel has a bar with panoramic views of Bordeaux at night.
The breakfast was plentiful and of high quality.
However, the receptionist was a bit arrogant and didn't explain the parking...
Bathrobe and hotel slippers are not free of charge. You have to request them for 5euros.
The room was clean and hygienic, and the location was excellent, near the wine museum. Public transport trams were available outside, providing easy access to the city center, and parking was also nearby for those driving.
The location is right next to the museum, with a food court downstairs that's very busy during meal times. It's also conveniently located by tram, with only 4 or 5 stops to the city in 20 minutes. When I arrived in Paris, I realized I had left my computer at the hotel, so they sent it to my Paris hotel the next day. Great!
Most recommend one in 波尔多. The room is big and clean, it also have a sofa besides the window, the totilet is big! Stuff is good

Bedroom layout. Including a sofa meant bed was too close to bathroom doors. Having a separate toilet, means you have to walk round to wash hands. Bath very slippery. Access & egress could be dangerous for the less agile. No continental breakfast is worth 19Euro.
On the positive, the room had a coffee machine and kettle. Parking is excellent and the hotel location spot on. Reception staff are very friendly...
Very nice hotel in a great location. The employees are very nice and the service provided was excellent. The onsite restaurant is great, the food was very tasty. Breakfast great.
Lovely hotel, great location to access the water front with the bars and restaurants. Lovely breakfast.
Staff very professional and responsive.
Sandie recommended us a restaurant and it was great. Everything went well-

The hotel was clean and very comfortable and the front desk staff was extremely helpful through the trip. They let us keep one of rooms for a late check out so we could sneak in a little more shopping & lunch before driving home. But perhaps the best thing was the location- can’t be beat! Across the street from Les Halles market and a block from great bd and clothes shopping.
Great hotel. & dog friendly. Good location in old town lots of bars and restaurants. Overnight stop over travelling through to southern Spain. Had a really top class meal in on-site restaurant. Will definitely use this hotel as our regular stop off. Underground car park had a height restriction of 1.85 bit tight turns with 4x4 but manageable
The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect.
Convenient parking in town centre. Staff very friendly and clean room
Room very comfortable great breakfast the restauration other than the breakfast was not very good we ask if they have ice cream for our kids they didn’t have anything we ask if their kitchen have some yogurts they didn’t have anything except a creme brûlée the only desert they have it was 9.45 at night when we arrived and my kid wanted something basic . So this is something simple to have on a Mercure...

Stayed there several times when it was Radisson. Very nice renovation done. Hotel has a ver good location with view on Cote des Basques and walking distance to downtown. Coffee shop on ground floor is cosy and friendly. We didnt try the restaurant on top floor though. Friendly staff. Highly rexommended hotelto stay in Biarritz
I stayed here for one night, travelling with my dog. Front desk staff were welcoming and efficient. I found that the hotel management is very keen to ensure guest satisfaction. The room that I'd booked (superior) was good value for money, with plenty of space, a sofa, and a decent-sized table with a comfortable armchair. The bed was very comfortable. I didn't use the restaurant for dinner or breakfast...
Gorgeous room with a stunning view of the Atlantic.
The hotel has a beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant which offer a perfect sea view(ideal for sunsets) and delicious food.
Lovely hotel. Staff were so lovely and helpful. Stunning rooftop. Beds were really comfortable and room was spacious with all amenities. No faults we were all really happy! Thanks for having us 😊
Fixtures and fittings need upgrading, which are due in the autumn. Staff very friendly and helpful. Caters for many corporate events.
The room is clean and tidy, very suitable for business travel

The Mercure hotel is very cozy, and the staff is extremely kind and attentive. The hotel’s theme is centered around writers: each room is named after a different author, and inside the room you can read a short biography about them. The bedspreads were wonderful, so soft they felt like they were made of feathers. It truly feels like sleeping on clouds after a long, busy day. The hotel is surrounded...
Everything was perfect. Staff were friendly. Rooms clean and near the Stadium. Room was always cleaned every morning. Breakfast was lovely
The staff is not welcoming and very aloof which was very surprising.
However they were helpful no eggs less which is worth mentioning
Nice hotel with a swimming pool conveniently located on the outskirts of Bordeaux and not far from the motorway, clean, nice breakfast, easy onsite parking outside hotel, allows dogs.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel during our family's stopover. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well-located, perfect for a stopover. The double bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. The only minor issue was the sofa bed mattress, which wasn't comfortable, but otherwise, the overall experience was very positive.
Short stay pleasant hotel
We stayed at the hotel twice (2 separate nights) for the purpose of being near the airport. It was value for money, clean and quiet. Easy to get into the city centre by the nearby tram. We also ate lunch at the steak restaurant next door which was pleasant.

Nice hotel, BUT...
Stayed overnight in one of the suites, paid a holding deposit of 100 Euros on a debit card. On checkout we settled the bill in full and told the holding deposit wiuld be redunded in the next 7 days. This never happened even after sending 5 emails, direct to the hotel and through this app! I had to get my card issuer involved to resolve this a month on. For this reason I cannot recommend...
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend 😀
Lovely atmosphere. Great customer service , good rooms and fab location. Food good too. A bit pricey but in many ways worth it.
A great hotel in a lovely part of France. Staff were great and the location very convenient for Royan by foot and farther afield by car. Would stay again….
Wonderful Stay
A wonderful stay from start to finish. Hotel is immaculate, spotlessly clean and nicely designed. Our room was extremely nice and clean and looked after 2 adults and 2 children easily. Facilities are excellent with use of spa and pools. Location wise the hotel is perfect, extremely short walk to 2-3 beaches and a 10 minute walk to the town centre for lots of restaurants etc. Our stay...
Outstanding hotel and staff
Outstanding location with beautiful ocean views; the hotel has also been fully renovated. The hotel and restaurant staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We were traveling with a young child and the chef made whatever dinner she asked for. Truly a great destination!

One night stay
We had dinner in the restaurant whuch was very good. Staff very friendly
Unfortunately we do not speak French as don't visit much.. The server we had, Adaline, done a great job, but her colleagues not so good. Asked if spoke English, to try and help.. "oh yes" was her reply, to then walk off and chat with her other colleague, looking over and laughing.. Quite Franky... Very rude... We tried to speak as best as possible not to have someone take the Mickey out of us. if...
Quality of bed linens and matress excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Large choice of local produce for self serviice breakfast. Many coffee options. Bathrooms very clean. Plenty of parking.
My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in July using as a base to explore the Pyrenees on our motorbike. Perfect location for this and also to go to the coast. Hotel was modern and clean with a lovely restaurant, serving good quality well presented food. Too often at breakfast time there would be no bowls for use and staff had to be asked. The standard room was all we needed with enough space. A few...
We stopped for one night and had a wonderful stay. All of the staff were extremely helpful, the room was comfortable and the pool was fantastic on a very warm day.
mercure hotel, so no surprises in the room (which is a bit small though) and in the services. I was here for work reasons.
very kind staff and available to listen to my requests. I had dinner in the restaurant and one of the dishes had an ingredient not clearly described on the menu that I don't like at all (full of garlic), so when it was served to me I simply left the dish on the table. the waitress...
