I made a mistake when completing my reservation and accidentally selected the wrong month. As soon as I realized it, I contacted the hotel by email to clearly explain the situation and kindly request a date change, fully accepting any price difference. I did not receive any response.

I then contacted the hotel through Booking.com, again without any reply. Eventually, I called the hotel directly. During the call, the attitude changed noticeably when I asked to speak in English, which I found quite unpolite and unprofessional.

Throughout all communications, I was repeatedly told that everything had to be handled through Booking.com. I contacted Booking’s customer service, who were very helpful and submitted an official request to the hotel, explaining the situation. However, as the hotel has the final decision, the request required their confirmation.

Despite the fact that I was only asking to modify the dates (not cancel the reservation or request a refund) and was willing to pay the higher rate, the hotel refused outright to authorize the change.

This was a simple and honest booking error that, in my experience, a 4-star hotel could have handled easily and with basic courtesy. After the way I was treated and after reading other negative reviews, I now have the impression that THIS HOTEL MAY NOT BE VERY WELCOMING TO INTERNATIONAL GUESTS. In hindsight, after seeing comments about the location and the condition of the hotel, I almost feel relieved not to be staying there.
