Very nice familiar hotel and very kind staff.
Nice garden for warmer weather.
Little bit old style but nice room. We like it 😊
Good connection with bus and metro lines so everyone can skip the taxi if can do a short walk from the station(s).

We eat a very good and very delicious breakfast in every morning with gluten-free option too.

This hotel is full of charm and located in a central and walkable part of Paris. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Notre Dame and roughly a 20-minute metro ride to many other major sights, with plenty of cafés and restaurants just a few steps away. I stayed here while visiting family in Paris and enjoyed my time.

The building itself is a classic Left Bank Parisian townhouse, with soft pastel tones and a cobblestone courtyard. It doesn’t offer the amenities of a large/modern hotel, but that was actually part of the appeal for me. I wasn’t looking for that kind of experience, and I didn’t feel like anything was missing.

One of the true highlights of my stay was the staff. Everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming.

All in all, this is a very lovely hotel with character, comfort, and exceptional hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I visit!

One of the most charming hotels we've ever stayed in. The location is unique, in the heart of the lively 5th arrondissement. Surrounded by some nice restaurants and cafes, yet very quiet, nestled in a courtyard that resembles a green oasis. The decor is simple but lovingly designed. The staff is exceptionally attentive and always friendly. Excellent public transport connections – highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay here during our honeymoon!! The rooms are nestled in a garden terrace with a lovely little view. It’s quiet at night but you can still go out on the town and there’s plenty in the area to enjoy. The staff members were lovely, especially Chloe who made Gideon and I feel very welcome during our stay. I felt the beds were super comfy with very soft sheets and we slept great each night. We were sad to leave but will definitely choose Hotel Des Grandes Escoles again for another trip to Paris! I only wish I got to see more of their sweet fluffy resident cat while I was there, but it was cold and rainy so I think she didn’t want to be outside ☺️🥲

We had a group of 6 people and stayed in 3 rooms. The rooms were SO CUTE. They were clean & the beds were comfortable.

The location is 10/10. Close to a lot of bars and restaurants but you don't hear any of that when you're inside the room. The hotel is tucked away in a beautiful garden.

Our reservation includes breakfast and it was delicious. The staff was super friendly and even gave us an extra croissant one day :) It was such a beautiful gesture. The staff always made a point to talk to us and make us feel welcome.

Can't wait for our next Paris trip and staying here. Would definitely recommend.

First time in Paris and what and experience? The hotel is with a lovely garden a magical view and a great people who works there. We did not try the breakfast as we prefers to discover the area to find bakery but the option was available every day. The bed of ours was like you sleep on a cloud :) The location in fantastic, close to a live and bubbly square where you can experience the real bar life of Paris at night. Despite is close to a busy bar area the hotel itself is very quite, you will not hear any noise from the street. Metro is close lovely bakeries are close huge gardens are close. Brilliant place brilliant location highly recommend to anyone comes to the magical Paris. Thank you for all the hotel staff making our stay great. ♥️🥰

Unbeatable location. Emily was great during our stay. She helped us with our upgrade and even helped carrying our bags, always friendly and sweet, shout-out to her.

Rooms are beautify decorated. It’s what you expect of a Paris hotel.

Walking distance from bars, restaurants and the Pantheon. 10-15 min drive to main attractions like Notre-Dame.

I will stay in this hotel every time I’m in Paris.

It's like a small village in the middle of the busy Latin quarter.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the main building is over 100 years old and it is just amazing.
No TV in the rooms which is a big plus for us.
You can choose to have breakfast in the hotel or nearby in the many restaurants around.

Third time we’ve stayed at this hotel over 20 years. Fabulous location. Quiet. Lovely garden. Charming staff. Rooms a bit spare, but who cares? Delightful. Recommended.

The hotel with its secluded quiet garden is just a wonderful place to stay. the staff were unfailingly helpful and pleasant. the breakfasts in the garden in dappled morning sunlight were delicious. it is in a very good location for the area and getting to the Seine or the centre. rooms are quirky but beds very comfortable.
