St Christopher's Inn Paris - Canal in Paris

Initially, they checked me into a room with some strange people, and it reeked of smoke. When I asked to be moved, they were accommodating – so, thanks for that.

The rooms and the bathroom was really clean. The outside noise made it quite loud and I didn’t appreciate the shower system (time button). But over all the location is good, I arrived at night and still felt safe. And the hoste looks nice and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Overall, the accommodation is quite good. There's an elevator, which is very convenient. It's close to subway line 7, making transportation easy. What I'm not entirely satisfied with is having to go downstairs to boil water and heat food. Every time I need to boil water, I have to go to the bar to ask for help, which is a bit inconvenient because there are no utensils for eating (bowls, chopsticks, spoons, forks...). It would be more convenient if each floor had its own dining area. Each floor shares a bathroom for all rooms. The room is a bit stuffy and has body odor; a fan is needed for ventilation because it's very noisy when the window is open. An exhaust fan would reduce body odor and improve air quality. There's a small bar on the ground floor, convenient for eating and drinking. There are also many restaurants and minibars nearby, which is very convenient.

Rooms were really comfortable and there was bar downstairs where you can have dinner & drinks. Nearby metro as well which is useful.

Let me preface this by saying I booked in January, so it might have been less crowded, which probably made for a better experience. As a solo traveler staying for 3 nights, I was initially a bit nervous about booking a hostel, but it exceeded all my expectations. The hostel isn't far from the subway exit, making it convenient to get to various attractions, and the walk there feels safe, with parents picking up kids and people out for a run. There's also a river outside the hostel, offering a nice view.

The front desk is on the first floor, next to a restaurant and bar. Their burgers are good, and guests get a discount. There's also a lounge. On Saturday, while eating, I noticed three burly men guarding the first floor, which made me feel very secure.

I booked a bunk bed, and the mattress was quite soft. The bedding was clean, and each bunk had a curtain, charging port, and reading light. Pulling the curtain and turning on the light created a happy little private space. There's a sink in the room, and each floor has separate men's and women's restrooms and showers, which are cleaned every morning, so the environment is quite good. The shower faucets dispense water for a set period after pressing, likely to conserve water. The front desk provides free towels, which you can return to the recycling bin at the front desk after use.

Good place. It s not in the downtown so you have take the subway… or a taxi in the middle of the night.

Location is bit far from the museum and city center. So, need to take metro/bus.

Awesome hostel. Very good located. Great experience.

Nice hostel for the traveller, next to the hostel there is a river, it’s good to cycling, running, relaxing, many restaurants aside, just few minutes walk to the tram station. For the guest, there is free drink coupon and discount if you dine in.
