Hotel Hippodrome in Paris

Booked last minute on the day we were staying (as we were leaving our options open travelling around France). We booked a double room with private bathroom for £74. We arrived at 4pm, our room was on the second floor, there is no lift, so you will have to take your own luggage up. The room was a good size (for a typical french hotel) and separate toilet and bathroom. There was a large opening window and a fan, so it was comfortable even in the heat of the day. The lady and gentleman who checked us in and looked after us were lovely (no English!) and friendly. The hotel has a great location! It's a 2 minute walk from the Moulin Rouge and opposite Flunch! Everybody needs to visit Flunch for a meal at some point! Place de clichy metro is 1 minute walk. All in all, a good stay, great nights sleep and for a typical budget hotel is Paris, I would stay again.

Very nice hotel, staff attentive and friendly.
Excellent location for traveling and very reasonable room price.
Rooms were very clean, although one was a bit small but it did have a massive four poster bed in it, lovely!
Fresh rolls and pastries for breakfast extra coffee no problem.
Only possible downside is that it has a narrow spiral staircase to reach the bedrooms. If you had mobility issues this may be a problem.
I would book this hotel again if I return to Paris in the future.

Pretty clean. Nice furniture. Small bathroom and very tiny shower. Room was pretty small but had a desk and cute headboard & matching sheets/blanket. Super close to metro/bus/train stations.

The location is excellent! Metro station is close, Moulin Rouge is close, some small touristic shops, taverns, restaurants (cheap and expensive) so, it is quite diverse.
This district is known as the "artists district", so you can make a portrait of yourself for a small price!
As a hotel, it is very cosy, small but warm. The room was clean and housekeeping service was on a daily basis. Maybe the rooms are small but the price makes up the size!
The owner and all the staff are very friendly and always ready to help.
Thank you very much and I'm sure that whenever I come back to Paris, this is the hotel I will choose!

Nice hotel, small and clean. Friendly staff. You can get a parking discount if you stay at the hotel.
