Inexpensive accomodations in France

We made use of the lounge on the top floor and terrace during our stay. Staff were very welcoming even on our last day, we were able to leave our luggage and still use facilities even after we had checked out

The day of our stay was an anniversary for us, and they even went to the trouble of decorating our room with a handwritten message. In the lounge on the top floor, all the staff greeted us with a smile

Although Cannes is a small city, you don't really need to be that close to the train station, as the main shopping streets and beach is walkable from the station in 20 mins

This place is just opposite the train station. The overall feeling of the hotel is very comfortable, the details are well done, and the corners are artistic. I like this type of hotel very much!

The hotel is in a great location – comfortable and peaceful. The rooftop pool is fantastic, and towels are provided. Vesna  was outstanding  kind, calm, and explained everything we needed

Unfortunately, our experience with Yasmin was not pleasant – she raised her voice and was unprofessional. The elevator is slow, and the room key cards often didn’t work

I really liked the hotel! The rooms were clean and spacious! The service was also excellent! Nothing to complain about. However, I couldn't get to the rooftop pool

Nice little hotel - the Marilyn hotel bar looked amazing, sadly seemed to be empty most nights. The staff were friendly and the room had everything we needed

The Windsor Jungle Art Hotel was a great spot for visiting Nice. Close to the promenade and in the Carré D’or neighborhood. The staff is very accommodating and serves a nice breakfast in the garden

Comfortable rooms with large tubs are available. You can get a voucher for the beach club and even a massage can be arranged for rejuvenation! Tréy bien!

Characterful hotel. Staff welcoming, location both central and quiet. Room small but comfortable with generous storage space

One note - Juliette or French Balcony - just because you think you have a balcony, you may not. They are not what you think of where you can put a chair or sit and have a coffee in the morning or wine in the evening

Good solid hotel First - let me say the standard for 4 stars in the US is not the same in Europe. A 4 Star in Europe is really a 3 in US. Service / Staff - it's outstanding. People are friendly and helpful

Checking in, morning reception - they are awesome. Outside "jungle" is terrific. It is beautiful! Really nice job. Rooms - they are dated and not great. Size was good and that was a plus

I know it’s difficult to get Staff and some of them at Dinner were obviously undergoing some training, but they were very polite. We look forward to visiting again

All internal communal areas are very clean; special mention for the groundsman as the pool and surrounding gardens are well kept. Breakfast is always very good

Small thing - we prefer bottled juice to the ‘automated’ machines. We had Dinner a couple of times and the food was very good

Breakfast - like in most French hotels - is a little basic: The selection and quality is good, but the selection is not particularly wide, e. we could only choose between 2 types of cheese and 3 types of cold cuts

This is a lovely hotel situated next to the Botanical gardens. It is an excellent hotel, modern and ideally located 5 mins from beach and a lovely 30 min walk to Ste Maxine

The rooms and especially bathrooms are relatively small, here is exactly what you need - but not much more

My son and I stayed here for a weekend of skiing in February. It is a very comfortable and pleasant hotel with excellent service, very nice rooms, and a wonderful little spa

Our room was quite small with little privacy as the one window/door to the outside faced the dining and common area in the garden where the children were playing

Our room was also quite hot with no way to cool it other than opening the door to the shared garden. Plenty of parking and a nice part of the world to visit

The location could not be better. Only problem with the hotel the shower was not fit for purpose, and the heating wasn't very good. The maid made an excelent job of our room every day..

Hotel was clean and conveniently next to the shopping centre. On arrival, the night receptionist was a bit rude, but the staff at check out,a girl and a boy, were friendly and helpful. Overall, a decent stay

I had a very brief stay, checking in at 10pm and out at 7.30am, but the room was clean, bed comfortable, and the staff at the reception desk was very friendly.

The location is perfect for short stay or need to transit to other places by train. The room size is ok and I am very happy with it. Private parking is a highlight. Very easy to access with clear instructions

This was my second stay at Lux Hotel Picpus. The hotel staff are friendly and offer service in English if you don’t speak French. My room this time was larger than my previous one, and had a very comfortable bed

The physical building is great. Staff are very nice and accommodating/helpful. The location is right off the subway making travel easy. Quiet neighborhood short walk from much busier

The staff was friendly and always helpful. We paid for breakfast separately (about 15€ per person): it included an omelet, sausages, cheese, cold meats, croissants, juices, tea, coffee, and canned fruit salad

I recommend making reservations early and bringing earplugs. The rooms are clean, but check the size. It says there is a bathtub, but there was no bathtub when I visited. The location is good.

Our room was a corner room on the 6th floor. There were two windows: one in the bathroom with a view of the courtyards and birdsong, and another in the room with a view of the city

The neighborhood is quiet and mostly residential. There are two metros nearby visitors can access: Picpus (right across the street) and Nation (about a five to ten minute walk)

Great place right next to the Arena and Forum. Not expensive by 2024 standards. A dignified and very French breakfast served on site for 15€ each, just do it. Quirky, but modern art on the walls by 2Fak (look him up)

As it is located down a dark, and not well travelled road I wouldn’t have wanted to stay there as a single person but my adult daughter and I managed fine. we were steps from the Roman amphitheatre and ruins

Our room was on the third floor. No elevator so plan on traveling lightly. Not a problem for us but request a lower room if you have mobility issues. The staff was helpful with advoce on what to do in Arles

Friendliest staff We had a very nice stay here - the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They did everything they could to make our stay special. Would definitely recommend.

It is a charming building built in the 1600s with nicely renovated bathrooms and comfortable beds. We didn’t try the breakfast and the coffee was a push button type so also didn’t try

Lovely old building in the heart of the city nucleus. Please note that you cannot drive right up to the hotel — you need to walk a few blocks to arrive at your destination.

We enjoyed the balconyI in room and the rooftop terrace. Sadly the bed was very worn and created constantly. It probably needs a replacing. The elevator and carpet were also very tired

We happily recommend this hotel primarily due to friendliness and elevated service level of the staff. We had very welcoming front desk experiences as well as from the service in the bar/restaurant

We were travelling with our dog and it was all great. The city is not big, so everything was pretty much walkable.

An excellent location in Chamonix. Very close to the central shopping street and cable car. The staff here were wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast was of a good quality even if it felt expensive

Other than this, for us most important element of our stay, other notable aspects were the exceptional views across the entire valley we had from our small, but well equipped, clean and comfortable corner room, offering all amenities one would expect for the category

We did however love the spa! Overall, this is a very good option if you're staying in Chamonix

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. I like the decore but the hard surfaces do mean the noise travels. Breakfast was good and the roof terrace is a nice touch.

Excellent, room was a bit basic but had everything needed including a safe and the complementary water was much appreciated! Only a short walk to the train station or Promenade. Would definitely visit again.

Its basic but perfect for a weekend break. Location was great! Not far from sea front, shops, restaurants, and tram. Hosts were lovely and helpful

The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation. The rooms are clean, tidy, and bright. The staff are friendly and polite, and both check-in and check-out processes were smooth

Only downfall was that the walls were not very sound proof, could hear alot of doors banging and stomping from upstairs - but this was only minor. Great stay and just what we needed for 3 nights in Nice :) Merci

Anyway, i can't stand carpets on the floors so that was probably the trigger for me. Otherwise a good price and convenient location makes it a place I would recommend to other economy travelers

Small hotel but in the great distance from the train station, the room was big enough for 3 people, had one double bed and one single bed, the bathroom was quite small but equipped with all we need

Great location, 25 mins walk to the promenade. Room was great for what we needed as we didn’t spend too much time in there. Bathroom wasn’t very big but wasn’t a problem for us

Then lobby room should be bigger and provide some cutlery and cups for guests who want to bring something to eat. The overall stay was good we love it

So although the building isn't brand-new, and the surrounding neighborhood isn't a cosmopolitan mecca, it does have a lot of great perks: 1) It is 50 meters from a metro / tram stop 2) It is not obvious, but there is a huge mega-mall, including a full Grocery store and Pharmacy, immediately next door to the west

You just have to walk a block to find a hidden entrance (Very poor signage on the mall, and from the intersection, it looks like an abandoned building) 3) The neighborhood is perfectly safe, even if the surrounding buildings don't project that message

It is pitch black out there, not very welcoming, and hard to identify it for the first time ("Is this a hotel? The lights are off and the building is dark!") 2) Add a guest laundry room somewhere 3) Please please please repair the exercise equipment

--- in closing, I only have a few recommendations for this hotel to make the stay better for travelers and new-comers: 1) Improve the exterior lighting on the front facade and driveway

4) The breakfast is affordable and healthy and great hours (6AM to 10 AM) 5) The staff speaks English and is very friendly, very helpful

Every person working there was extremely helpful and responsive to all our requests. My only wish would be a late night snack menu as we arrived home late a few nights and were too tired to venture out again

Location is excellent and costumer service is just outstanding… Mateo went above and beyond, this kid was amazing, so attentive to details and such a positive energy and a smile that lights up any room

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We left something in our room and realized when we were back in the States and they were kind enough to help send it back

The location of this hotel is excellent, you're right in the middle of the Marais and can easily walk to many things including the metro. We loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

The room was on the smaller side (which we fully expected being right in the heart of the city), BUT we were pleasantly surprised by how things were arranged in the room to maximize the space

Plenty of wine and champagne to drink (which we loved to enjoy in the cute salon) but no small bites to go with it. We had a great time on our girls trip and will be back

The bathroom was not small at all, and the bed was very comfortable, which helped me rest well after long days of sightseeing. The only downside was that the elevator was quite small and old

However, since I was traveling alone, it wasn’t inconvenient. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Paris

The Luxembourg Gardens, along with numerous cafés and restaurants nearby, made it an ideal place for travelers to stay

- The elevator is extremely small and can fit easily only 1 person or 2 very slim and given this fact, if you have an upper floor room it will take a while to go up as the lift is also quite slow

A very traditional old fashioned but cute hotel in a lovely area, but needs better signage outside !! If you like art deco typically French laid back this hotel is great for a short stay, staff are lovely 😄

The location is absolutely brilliant - next door to a ski rental shop (which offers a discount to Bergerie guests); super close to the Pleney lift, as well as transport to Super Morzine / Avoriaz; and right in the centre of Morzine so you can walk to the restaurants and shops in moments

I highly recommend it for many reasons: 1) fantastic location in the heart of Morzine, everything is reachable without a car, 2) the room in which we stayed was designed for families, spacious, separated area for parents, small kitchen inside, and what a view from the balcony! 3) big territory which includes outdoor pool and kids area, and the best part of the stay: 4) the hotel team, their welcome...

I have stayed at some the best hotels in the world. This place sits amongst the best. Defined by its service, there a limited amount of places like this in the world that put so much care into their guests

Our room was perfect for a family of four, with a little kitchenette and beautiful balcony. The kids loved the playroom and swimming pool, and we all appreciated the friendly, relaxed, family feel

Highly recommended! We had an amazing stay over Christmas. Nat - the hotel’s ski instructor was superb!! Our son learned to ski in 4 days and he was able to do an easy blue run all by himself

We stayed here for eight days so that we could explore the city and the surrounding villages and day trip to nearby cities

The room was modern, spotless, and well-maintained, and the location could not have been more convenient

I am 73 years old and have stayed at hotel all over the world but very seldom experienced this kind of service level. If I ever will come back to Colmar I will for sure book at this hotel once again

The center of Colmar is less than a 15-minute walk away, and there is a supermarket right in front of the hotel, which was perfect for picking up drinks or light snacks

Its a budget hotel, so don't think you'll get a lot of space at your apartment. Price quality its quite reasonable, it's also next to a slope so you don't need to worry about carrying yiur skies all through the village

Firstly, my only niggle but my fault. I never noticed the 5pm check-in anywhere on the booking. We arrived at the hotel at 11am to be told the rooms wouldn’t be ready until 5

Free wine (and being France, it was good wine too). Great food every day, made such a difference to me (I love my food). The staff were so friendly and professional. I love, love, love this hotel

The location is absolutely perfect, it’s about 50 metres to the bottom of the big Jandri gondola, which takes you to the top of the mountains

Next time we stay, I would probably get a later flight. Anyway, the positive and there’s lots of positives

The staff were very friendly and spoke good English although I always try to use a bit of French as a matter of respect. In summary this is an excellent 3 star hotel and the skiing in Les Deux Alpes is excellent
