Premiere Classe Chambery in Chambery

It was such a horrible experience. The room was unbearably dirty, the toilet was smelly, and the shower… I believe it could serve better as a microbiology laboratory rather than a shower! I’m not sure if any word has ever been invented to express how bad our experience was.

They are in such a hurry to get rid of customers who come at 8am to knock on the door and come back 30 minutes later but this time opening the door even though we had reported being still in the room.
Avoid this dilapidated and very dirty hotel

Disappointing. Room 9. Very old and dirty and in need of major refurbisment. Walls were stained with what looked like coffee spills. Cracks that had been repaired had not been painted, floors marked and sticky. The window curtain had paint on it I guess from a previous redecoration but that must have been many many years ago. Bathroom cracked, cigarette burns, hair in the plug of the shower. Shelf by the bed at 45 degree angle. Toilet paper ran out and clearly had not been checked. The flourescent light, the main light source had been replaced with a ceiling light, totally inappropriate and not how the original lighting of the room had been designed. And to cap it all there was no bread at breakfast. Apparently 4 baguettes had been allocated for I think about 20 breakfasts. If they have to cut costs on baguettes , well ... I would avoid this place. We have stayed in other budget hotels in Chambery over the years and they are much better. The staff were friendly but this does not make up for such a run down hotel. I can truly say this is the worst hotel I have stayed in France.
