Hôtel Riquet in Toulouse

Infested with ants. In the bed, all over the bathroom, on the walls, dozens of them. Management aware of the problem but unable or unwilling to do anything about it.

The owner's response seems to indicate that the presence of the ants was due to some imagined negligence on my part--- but there were not several but dozens or maybe hundreds of ants. They were clearly coming out of the bathroom, where there were the most of them---and the bathroom had no window. I've added a picture of ants congregating on the wall just above the bed, where they would occasionally drop onto my face as I tried to sleep.

I will say, when they finally changed my room after several days of misery, the new room was comfortable, clean, and best of all had no ants.

I was shocked that there is no air conditioner in the room when I arrived. The outside temperatures were as high as 32 C, so it was very uncomfortable to stay in the room. Also, there were construction works in the hotel, which made the stay very uncomfortable. No words from the hotel to warn about the extremely noisy sounds from the construction work. It is really unbelievable for this very unprofessional service I had experienced. I do not recommend this hotel for people.
