Albert 1'er Hotel Nice, France in Nice

The location of this hotel is fantastic, which was definitely a highlight of our stay. However, our experience was mixed. We arrived around 7:30 PM and checked into our room, only to find that there was no power. We promptly informed the front desk, expecting to be moved to a new room, but instead, a technician was sent up to address the issue. With our dinner reservations at 8:45 PM, we found ourselves in a warm room without air conditioning, waiting for over 30 minutes while the technician worked on the problem. This situation made it difficult for us to get ready for our non-refundable dinner reservation.

After some back and forth, the front desk kindly accommodated us in the only room they had available, which happened to be the penthouse. We were very grateful for this upgrade and understood that we would need to move to a regular room the next morning.

Unfortunately, when we moved to our new room the following day, we encountered additional issues. The room had ants, the air conditioning didn’t work, and there was a noticeable mildew smell. Given that the hotel was fully booked, there wasn’t much that could be done at that point.

While we appreciated the effort made to upgrade us for the night, and the location is truly excellent, our overall experience was disappointing. Unless you’re able to book the penthouse, I would recommend considering other options.

the hotel was totally a nightmare, rooms are old,dirty. staff was ok but especially receptionist Irene was very rude. there are no shampoo or any vanity or conditioner in the room even they are 4 star hotel, just one shampoo for all body and hair at the same time :/ Also they have diffeent price system for same rooms we payed double price and the other day price down %80 and they did not help us. the partners' beach also terrible, we got sick after this hotel, never reccomend. do not go cause it is wasted money and time.

The hotel is old. The Room was not clean. Lots of dust everywhere. Smelly bathroom. AC does not work and it was very hot and humid inside.
I had to ask an iron 2 times during the day.
The lady on reception promised to give once it’s free. But it never came. I asked second time and got it at almost 12 am. They asked me to return in 1 hour because other guests are waiting…Means I had to iron my cloths at night!
I can only guess how 4 stars hotel can have 1 iron for all guests.
You can find much better options in Nice for the same price. With better service and clean rooms.
Just the location is central and convenient.
