Cons: There isn't a kettle in the room but you can borrow one from the reception downstairs. There is only one elevator serving the whole building and it is quite a small one so sometimes there is a wait for the lift during busy periods.
Cons: As is common with older buildings, the room had a strong sewage smell. The noise from the tram, train, and crowds was quite loud, though it quieted down a bit after 10 PM. On the day I checked in, there was no one at the front desk when I arrived around 7 PM, so I had to drag my luggage to get some food and then come back to check in. However, the front desk attendant was very friendly.
The room is a bit small but it's understandable since it's located downtown. Very clean and comfortable bed.
My partner and I stayed at Hotel 64 for 4 days and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The location is unbeatable; it is literally 1 minute away from the Nice Central Railway Station, which made our trip to Monaco (only 30 minutes away) incredibly easy.
We stayed in a Junior Suite with a balcony, which was very comfortable and featured a large double bed. The room was spotlessly cleaned every single day. The staff deserves a special mention for being so polite and helpful throughout our stay.
Two things we especially loved:
The excellent and rich breakfast started our days perfectly.
The 24-hour access to free bottled water and the coffee machine in the breakfast area was a fantastic and thoughtful touch.
If we visit Nice again, we will definitely choose Hotel 64. Highly recommended!
