Hotel des Falaises in Etretat

Wonderful, central location near the water. Downside is crazy (very busy tourist attraction at the cliffs) parking and absence of elevator. Staff work hard to make you welcome.

Family Trip Great Hotel
We had two rooms on two floors for our family if 5. It was perfect. The location can’t be beat- we were able to hike all morning and then stop in to shower before walking to the shops and dinner.

We booked a triple room, the room was a bit small, the bathroom was a bit small, there was no elevator, the room was on the top floor, and we climbed several floors with our luggage, which was a bit tiring. The breakfast was simple, and you could see the sea from the room.

Love that the room but especially shower were modern and updated while it’s in a historic building. Location is perfect.

Hotel did not have good service, but it is very well located. Apparently the best hotel in the region considering the value for money. We didn't eat there but there is a large restaurant right across the street.

Despite being hesitant based on some negative reviews, we decided to book a room here during our stay in Etretat due to the fact that most other properties were either booked or very expensive.

I am glad to say we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, as we had a nice and comfortable stay. The room was nothing luxurious, but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small, and there was no shower curtain, but we were able to manage. The front desk staff was very nice and offered to store our luggage in their lobby for an entire day before we departed. I recommend considering this hotel, as it is a great value for your money in Etretat.

Nice location but parking was a long way off. Close to the beaches and in the center of everything. Staff were friendly. Have to reserve breakfast.

Convenient hotel right on the main square in Etretat. Beach and boardwalk are a one minute walk away. We stayed here in April so the town is bustling during the day but eerily quiet at night. By 8pm it’s almost dead. This means the rooms was very quiet for us to sleep. We didn’t hear much noise in the square for the short time we were in the room during the afternoon either. We had a room right in the triangular corner of the hotel facing the square. Odd shape so it was kind of small but we don’t require much while traveling since we spend minimal time in the room anyway. In Etretat, even less time in the room. The hiking on both sides of the beach is fantastic. The front desk lady gave us a printed out map of town highlighting the free overnight parking lots nearby. When we arrived just before noon, the town was bustling so we had to park on the outskirts large lot with 270 spaces but were able to move our car in closer at 7pm for free parking until 9am the next day. Then it was only a few Euros for a few hours. Clean rooms and bathroom with a good location make this a recommended hotel.
