I always stop here for a week on my way Europe -> Mestia and back. I choose this palace because the vibe is lively and family like. People staying here for a few days start to get to know each other, share stories, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. They serve dinners every evening that brings people together and creates a sense of community. The owner is a cool guy who boosts the vibe. He plays cards, drinks a beer (or two) with guests, takes them on a trip to abundant Soviet buildings, to a sulfur bath, or just to a bar in the city. The place is clean and organized but not to the extent of being sterile. There is a local restaurant nearby where they speak no English but the food is excellent and cheap (Babushka quality). Locals tend to offer you a sip of Chacha if you go in the right time and sit next to them. Bunk beds have curtains for privacy which I love.

It's was good stay in Dingo. Nice room, comfortable bed, two funny cats, good food. Location is good, near to train station and walk to the city centre around 15 min. Near products shops, gum.

+ Although it’s a bit outside the city center, it offers a truly unique experience — from giving travelers helpful advice to connecting them with the right people to organize their trips and discover the beauty around Kutaisi. The highlight is the family dinner, where the hosts cook something traditional from their home region, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. A real meeting place for wandering travelers and for those seeking peace and quiet… plus a cuddly, mischievous cat that just wants to sleep on you! 😄
- Maybe it was just the season, but the house was really cold, especially at night. Just ask for an extra blanket before going to bed — they’ll gladly give you one. It would also be nice to have a few extra touches above the bed, like a reading light and a small shelf.

Not recommended. It used to be a great hostel when i visited in 2023. Now its just a prison with 100 stupid policies. No internet, no electricity. Didnt even pick my call when i needed internet in the morning to attend a work meeting. Had to buy extremely expensive roaming package on my international number.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The owner, Ricardo, is dangerous and appears to have a bad reputation in the area. He is physically abusive and beats his volunteers. It is unsafe. This place should not be allowed to exist!!!! Get it off the websites!!!

The owner is extorting and abusing his staff. Please, do not stay here. It is not safe. My friends had to evacuate from the hostel after I checked out. Thankfully, they’re all in safety now, but please do not take any chances on this one. Keep away.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSTEL UNLESS YOU WANT A BEATING. Ricardo, the hostel owner is an abusive and dangerous man, and I have witnessed him beating people in his hostel. please steer clear of this place unless you want to leave with bruises. My hostel stay ended in a total hostel evacuation at 4am after he beat someone and traumatised all guests in the hostel with a horrific event.

The mattresses were very dirty and the environment in the hostel was hostile. The hostel owner doesn't treat the volunteers (the unpaid workers) very fairly and tries to add any extra fees wherever possible. The trips offered by the hostel are also crazily overpriced.

We stayed at Dingo Hostel for 2 nights and loved it. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. There are also various tours and activities the staff organise for you if interested. Definitely recommend staying here!
