Trierer Hof in Koblenz

This hotel is super bad, like really bad. The building and restaurant looks awesome but the rooms, my god Horrible.
Let me start with the overall vibe on the floors with the room, the carpets are stale. The walls are white and the doors are white, that too not clean white just shabby white. Then in the room again, the carpets were absolutely gross. The lights were broken, some didn’t work. No kettle in the room. The furniture super old and the bed, we booked double bed and it came with two twin mattress pushed together now you can only imagine how those mattress would betray you during your romantic getaway. Then the bathroom, it was clean but my god the style was super 70s and white light everywhere. Was not worth €100 for the night, trust me pay 20 extra and get a room which you would like to go back too. Thankfully it was only a single night stay for us so super happy it was over quickly.

On the positive side the staff were awesome!
And the location was really good too. I would like to think, we got the worst room because I cannot believe all the rooms to be so bad. I hope the management takes notice and will refurbish the rooms a bit.

This was a first - probably the worst business travel experience possible.
I'm a regular traveller, especially for business. Usually booking my rooms in advance, this time 5 weeks before the planned stay.
During my check-in I was informed, that the hotel is overbooked and hence my night is cancelled.
When I asked for "how do we proceed" and what will they offer me? I am offered a free-of-charge cancellation. So at least I don't have to pay for the cancellation, when the hotel decides they don't oblige their contractual obligations. The clerk informed me they only transfer bookings from booking.com on a daily basis. On-site bookings are given priority as they have less charges.
Highly unprofessional and frustrating, cannot recommend.

Couldn't travel because of illness, so asked the hotel to send me an email confirming we didn't stay. No response to emails, it's been 8 days now. This may affect my travel insurance claim, costing me 175 euro.

I have NEVER stayed at this hotel, I made a booking in September in error which the hotel receptionist should have cancelled as we agreed, I have now been charged £122.01 for a room that I never used.

We came at 14.55 but had to wait because they were cleaning our rooms. Hotel was absolutly not fully booked but they just wanted to let us wait!!! First contact at the hotel said we could have breakfast next day from 07.00. Then they changed it to 08.00, due to hollyday, wich we can understand. There was NO possibility to have like a appel, Coffee and one sandwich the next day. That is also fine. So we wanted to pay for the room excluding breakfast. That was NOT possible. Not one second could they find a solution to give some service to us in this matter. Wich should be some breakfast service (Coffee, one sandwich and a bottle of water or to reduce the price. WILL NOT RECOMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
