Hotel Neuhaus is somewhat basic in its furnishings but everything is thoughtfully planned and laid out. For example, there is a chair on the landing between floors. In the lobby, tea and coffe are provided 24 hours a day. There is a rooftop also available where smoking is allowed. I found staff friendly. It is in a residential neighborhood, a 5-10 minute walk from many restaurants and shops on Kaiserstrasse. It is also less than 5 minutes' walk from Dortmund's Orthodox synagogue. The hotel desk is not staffed at night, and you are sent a code for initial entry if you arrive after a certain time, it appears (but check before arriving).

Good clean comfy rooms although a bit a basic . Single bed was very small in a huge room . Excellent breakfast and staff could not have been more helpful . Excellent location . Coffee in reception although complementary was awful , avoid at all cost

I arrived at the hotel after a long drive, the hotel was locked and no one was at the reception. I've tried to call them and reached the voice mail.
