The hotel is located in an industrial area, the view is very nice if you look over the industrial area, for example the Opel factory, you look over to the Thuringian Forest and have a view of the Wartburg! I can only speak for the guest management - my husband was staying here recently and it was his birthday so I called and they prepared a lovely surprise in his room for me and even sent me photos of it by email! Thank you to the team for going above and beyond normal customer service!

Found this by chance on the internet,If you are arriving by train you'd be best advised to get a taxi(if you have a serious amount of luggage). Reminded me of the small family run hotels that I went to as a child

Good location, near a lot of restaurants. I stayed in a single room and it was big. Old fashion room but clean and new. Bathroom was big and with good ammenities. I would stay again.

Has Aircon NO KETTLE! Shower pressure is good, but the toilet is positioned so that it's awkward to sit on. There is a launderette round the corner, if needed

The view toward Wartburg castle overwhelming! Summary: The perfect place! Before the Corona shutdown: One week ago: Food was excellent, service pretty mediocre and not very friendly, room overheated! We were offered a really dangerous small table while the room was almost empty!

Went there for a wedding. The food and service were excellent. The location is amazingly located. WiFi coverage is also very good. The rooms are not oversized but comfortable and very clean.

Mai 2020: We attended yesterday again - for the first time after the (first?) Corona-shutdown - the restaurant. Sitting in the bright sunshine on the terrace we enjoyed the excellent meal

Very delicious food with an awesome view to Wartburg castle and Burschenschaft monument. Specially for sunny days a nice spot to sit outside at the terrace. Medium to high price category.

Great find We had a very pleasant stay in Eisenach at Pension Mahrets. Anna was very helpful, showed us around and gave recommendation about the town. Would stay again if in the area.

I didn’t see any temperature control in the room, but it wasn’t too hot or too cold. The host/owner was kind and helpful. The place had a lot of character to it that made it charming

When I went to plug in my phone charger on the side of my bed, that’s when I noticed a lot of dust-bunnies. It could probably use a deep clean, but it was fine for one night

The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Breakfast was massive European style and quality was superb

Nice house, lovingly furnished and beautifully situated. Unfortunately, some rooms smell very bad, probably poorly ventilated or damp beds. However, the service is very attentive and friendly

We booked a tour of the castle with Karina (just ask at the hotel), which was great!!! She takes you on a beautiful journey through history, GREAT!!! Unfortunately I don't have any photos but the ones that are there are authentic

Breakfast was plentiful and OK for the price. We checked in here with around 19 people and also used the conference room. The service was very friendly, attentive and always there when you needed them

A cozy and nice hotel in the middle of the town. Soundproofing is good so outside noises are nicely blocked out. A good amount of space in the room and the room prices are not bad.

Breakfast was a bit expensive at €13 each: selection is very good but we really only wanted cereal and there was no option for a smaller breakfast

We stayed at the hotel during the Biathlon World Cup. Comfortable rooms, balanced and delicious food in the restaurant, the room was cleaned daily. I liked that there is a gym, sauna, swimming pool

An ideal place to come in the winter if you love winter sports such as sking and sleding etc. The nearness to Rennsteig makes it even more suitable for a variety of activities

We did not feel comfortable there, and room was relatively expensive. Therefore we drove back to the reception to ask for a room at the main hotel. In the reception they claimed that we had booked a room in the cottage

A great getaway stay for some quiet in the mountain forest. It was full of snow and fog when we stayed there but even then, we could see that it would be beautiful in summer. It's romantic in its rustic way

More than enough storage wardrobe space for belongings and shoes. The rooms also come with a long shared balcony, so I imagine spring and summer, it is really nice staying here
