Great location, just by Essen central station and the Christmas markets a short walk. And it has a small 24 hour gym. But I had noisy neighbours upstairs that persisted throughout, and the breakfast is very basic.

Super quite rooms and with curtains shut the difference between day and night is unnoticed. A little disappointment on the cleanliness. Some personal juices from previous guest were missed by the cleaning staff. Told this at the checkout but no response.

Spacious rooms and good bed. Great location near to the bahnhof.
But such a brand name doesn't serve vegan breakfast. I just had cold salad for two days. Very disappointed from the service.

The staff were incredibly accommodating. I had a free early check in and a late check out (as the hotel wasn't too busy for this option).
The hotel room was honestly impeccable. Brilliant amenities and space without compromising on quality. Bed was a 10/10 and the option to cook in the room was an instant winner for late night snacks after work.
There are available snacks downstairs throughout the night, and the breakfast is free.
Attached is an image from a good local bar also (Cafe Nord) - CASH ONLY. Brilliant atmosphere and not too far from the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend and the room was absolutely fantastic. It was like a mini apartment with a small closet, a kitchen with fridge, cooker, microwave even a dish washer; and it was modern and very clean. The staffs are nice, the location is directly in the city center. The only critic I have is that the breakfast area is quite small and might not be able to accommodate everyone if the hotel is full but the up side is that the breakfast was nice. I will definitely be returning to the hotel.

This is the first time I've stayed in this hotel. I think it's the best hotel in Essen. It's cost-effective, clean and comfortable, the bed is very comfortable, the location is also very good, especially the rich breakfast.
