Very good hotel, but it’s a pity that the service is so bad

Great hotel, large clean rooms and close to shops and resturants. Ideal if your visiting Essen University Hospital

Beautiful location, very functional for congress or other business meetings. The breakfast has a wide range of options. Even for lunch and dinner there were vegan options, although the steak was delicious

Let me start saying that this is a 4 star superior hotel, which in my opinion is close to a 5 star than a 4

Near the hotel there is an incredible park with wildlife and hiking areas

The Atlantic Congress can be reached by metro (Messe Ost / Gruga exit), or about 30 minutes by taxi from the Duesseldorf airport

Perfect hotel close to Schalke 04 Arena. Good breakfast, nice (empty minibar) and good beds. Easy parking, lots of places for free. Recomended.

All in all very good, I can only recommend it! I'll be back!

Very good location for Schalke fans. Unfortunately, coffee was only available for breakfast upon request, vending machines were out of order and staff were overwhelmed

It is of course absolutely great that you can basically fall straight into bed from the arena and don't have to squeeze into the overcrowded tram, especially for an evening game

There is nothing wrong with the hotel. Exception: I think the price of around €200 per night is too high. Like most other hotel guests, I was there for a Schalke game

Of course there is still a lot of action in the hotel lobby until late at night. But I would like it to be like that for a football game

This is the most satisfactory stay for me in Germany…. Staying in Munich and Hannover so far this is the Best hotel for near amenities of restaurant and street Christmas market.

Luckily, the staff accomodated my needs by keeping my medicine in the fridge at the lobby bar. But I wonder if they could have handled 10 diabetics at once. All the being said, the service was very good

The hotel is very centrally located, just a few meters from the pedestrian zone. Unfortunately, because of this, people from the drug scene also hang around in the area, but that's sadly the case in every major city

The room was spacier than we expected, and the service was very friendly - especially the charming gentleman from Martinique at reception who we had nice conversations with and who came with treats for our son

It’s also a great touch that they serve apples, sweets and coffee at reception, and on our second day we got a sweet surprise in our room. Highly recommend, also because of affordability

The hotel is near "Old City" of Essen and is very clean. The services are very good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are big enough, well organised and quiet.

The room is nice and clean, The air conditioning and heating system is excellent, the bed is wide and not high, there is no water kettle for tea, check out of the hotel at 11! They did not alert us to that, and they open the door of the room on you while you are in it! Stayed here for one night for a concert. It was clean, quiet, had good AC and is a short walk to the main Essen train station, so ticked all of the boxes

Good service, nice and clean hotel. Expensive parking, which isn't included. Trains passing by isn't a + except if you are traveling by one of them. 😉

The bar tender Antonio was an exceptional worker and should be commended for his work ethics and service. He worked great under pressure when the bar was busy and still gave everyone an outstanding service

Me and my dad just stayed here during the euros. Clean rooms and showering facilities were above and beyond. Reception staff were so helpful always on hand for information and extra towels and pillows etc

Good looking hotel. Very clean and comfortable but I got a very small room. Good size bathroom. Breakfast offers a larger variety than normal breakfast buffet including champagne.

It was clean, renovated, and dog-friendly. The location wasn't ideal for dogs, but that's typical for centrally located places. Very flexible and a very, very nice room. I'd gladly stay again.

Room was fine. Most english channels not working and couldnt connect to Netflix or Prime and couldn't cast to Tv.

We planned to leave our luggage, but they room was ready! We got in and the crib was already there. They provided a high chair for my our child. Lots of variety and it tasted fresh

Didn't spend much time in the hotel as we were mostly at Spiel Essen. Rooms were clean, neat and good quality, with good showers. When we asked to hold onto our many bags of boardgames it was no problem

Good standard rooms, good standard breakfast, clean. The location is not that great, not so many shops or restaurants nearby. You need to take the car or bus or walk for about 20-30 minutes.

Stayed at this hotel many times and now always look to stay here when in Essen. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Clean, good-sized rooms.

The room was spacious and bright. The facilities were pretty clean, and toiletries were provided. While there were no slippers in the room initially, the front desk readily supplied them upon request

We had a wonderful 5 night stay. The rooms were nice and clean — great value for the price! The staff were also the most friendly and helpful hotel staff I’ve ever met in all my travels in Germany

Although it was built in 2000, it doesn't feel old at all. It is clean and tidy, and has a capsule coffee machine. Essen has a large green area, so the air in the whole city is very comfortable

Clean hotel with friendly staff close to the train station, Follwang Museum and the restaurant and street Rüttenscheider Str. We stayed here a few times and would come back next time in Essen.

Things to note: - The hotel is a bit of a walk to the city centre and multiple tram tickets can get quite expensive - Parking is 18Euros per day — on the pricier side

The breakfast was well organised and the restaurant is a recommendation for lunch and dinner. Last but not least the personnel is really guest focussed

The waiter really makes every evening special, an excellent host. Nice rooms, dog friendly, great for children. A lot of room to play around or to play in the pool

Everyone at the hotel was helpful and able to answer any questions we had. There was always someone available. Thank you for a delightful stay! Also, the food was delicious!

So convenient to the Messe, and the train, and everyone was super friendly. It's also like staying in a mini apartment, and having a laundry was a great convenience!

When pruce for taxinor train is calculated into the total cost of being further away from the Messe the appartment really becomes a very good option. We got an appartment on the 5th floor with a privat balcony

Absolute Gem! Mintrop's Concierge exceeded all expectations. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment I stepped in, I felt right at home. This contemporary apartment hotel is impeccably clean and meticulously maintained

In the appartment there are only cutlery for two people, hence you have to clean it after every use. There is s dishwasher but it makes no sense using it for two knives, two forks and two dishes

The other was the breakfast at EUR 14 pp. but was really few things tonchoose from and no toaster. Staff was fantastic, polite and helpfull. I will for sure stay here again next year

My XS apartment was perfectly equipped with a kitchenette featuring a dishwasher, 2-burner electric stove, microwave, fridge, and all the essentials for cooking and snacking

this must be the best neighbourhood to live in around Essen - beautiful, serene environment. the hotel is very old but very well maintained. service is excellent and very consistent

the restaurant is very good too, although a bit pricey. Edeka is right outside, with a bakery and ice cream shop just round the corner

Lovely & Authentic German Experience Quaint & lovely with an authentic German clement combined with modern touches - in a lovely garden district suburb of Dusseldorf in Essen - built in the early 1900’s

the only downside is the very weak aircon, but a fan was provided and it was enough in mid summer. i stayed for 15 nights and i will not hesitate to stay here again

Two restaurants on site, a bistro and a fine dining restaurant. Bistro was good, not exceptional, but maybe this was because we had a set menu

50 per person at this time, but I was left with the impression that we would get the offer for 94 Euros. I was prepared to pay a little extra to treat my husband after a positive experience with the hotel in the past

As the email did not mention any extras, I double-checked what we were being offered for the extra money. I was informed that the offer was not available at Euros 38

However, in subsequent correspondence, I was told that the offer was not available at all. The manager said he had given us a care parcel "for free"

The hotel manager offered a room for 94 Euros, 12 Euros more than the rate on their direct booking system on the website for a room

(By that time, the price for a room without any extras had gone up from 82 Euros to 94 Euros on the hotel website

) I had hoped to discuss the confusing/misleading correspondence with the manager in person, but he was on holidays when we got to Essen

Excellent hotel. We stayed only one night but everything was very nice. Especially the host, very polite and cheerful. The room was OK, clean, had heating and very hot water (always appreciated in cold winter days)

The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is simple but adequate, including fruit. The only disadvantage is that there is about 10 minutes walk to the train station and it is important to note the time schedule

My husband and I stayed at Jagerhof Hotel during our visit to Frankfurt. This is a big old house which has been converted to a family B & B. The owners are very friendly and they immediate make you feel at home

Wifi had good signal in the room with decent speeds. apple docking station built into the bed head with controls for the room lights and TV/radio system. Didnt eat at the hotel, but the bar prices were reasonable

I liked the room decoration, fueniture and amenities. That it is not noisy and it is very clean. Didn’t love that we had to book in advance for a table at the restaurant and we didn’t know this

Small cousy hotel, great staff, very clean and super convenient if you are going to a convention. Breakfast was decent and everything was fresh, the staff were super nice.

I stayed here for four nights and it was an amazing experience! The staffs were so friendly and always helpful! I left my shirt in the room, and they sent me back promptly! Really appreciate it! The location is also good, 3min away from the U-Bahn station

Attentive staff, comfortable rooms, and excellent breakfast. A couple of hundred meters to public transportation. Highly recommended.

The downside is there is no lift but reception does offer to help if you need it (but you still need to get yourself up those stairs to the first or even fourth floors) and whilst the breakfast room is open, the bar/restaurant attached is closed due to the Covid crisis

I spoke on the phone with the nicest man ever, he helped me through everything and answered all my questions. When we arrived we were welcomed and accompanied to a place to park our car
