Worked out very good short walk to town for dinner & train station ,great breakfast allclean & tidy

Good service, nice and clean hotel. Expensive parking, which isn't included. Trains passing by isn't a + except if you are traveling by one of them. 😉

Staff was courteous and friendly, rooms were clean. Breakfast area clean and food was nice. Location, though... haha. Well, let's just say I woke up quite a few times from the train noises.

Room are decent and people are nice, but €18 for breakfast that have little choice of €7 for a bottle of water is a bit much. Also right now (2024) it’s construction right outside, so if you need want to nap during the afternoon, it’s a bit annoying.

Cute little hotel next to the Messe. No air conditioning but the rooms, despite being small, cute and with all the basic amenities. I'd have liked some better complementary toiletries but there is a free water bottle.

This is very much a cheap but fine hotel. They obviously run on a small staff, but the staff they have are friendly and helpful. We probably had the worst room in the hotel. It was right next to the restaurant which shares the location with the hotel. So on the weekend it was extremely loud. We also had a view out of the window to only emergency stairs. There was no Network availability in the room so I had to seek out the lobby for everything. This is a good budget hotel. Try to get a room in the main building. Rooms in the annexes are smaller and need updating. Our rooms were a good size. Clean but maybe a little tired looking. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Very close to public transport for easy access to city centre and beyond by train or road.

Rooms were very modern and Clean, Location was also good. You could take a bus from Central station to the Hotel. Negative Aspects would be the Internet connection, it was very poor and i had to log in the browser everytime i wanted to use the internet. and the air conditioner ( it didn't work). A very pleasant hotel with excellent value for money. We were especially pleased with the bed. The rooms, hallway, and restaurant are modern and attractively decorated. Delicious breakfast! The entrance is a bit dated, and the elevators are old, but they work.

The location was great. There were supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which was nice. The elevator was a bit cramped, which was a bit inconvenient. And the parking lot was full if you arrived late.

Nice hotel This is a nice hotel at reasonable prices, situated in the citycentre. Certainly not a luxury hotel but good value for money. Very nice and attentative in the reception. Located from 5-10 mins. walk from Essen Hbf. Very quiet and staff is helpful. Free one glass of beer or coke is available at the time of check-in. If you want to go shopping, go walk for 10 mins. and then you'll reach Limbecker Platz. There's REWE (supermarket) and you can grab some German sweets for gifts. :)

Perfect place to stay if you are attending an event at Veltins Arena. The lovely young lady at the front desk even gave a small group of us a ride to the venue. And she was so pleasant and friendly. We even walked back to the hotel after the concert and it was a nice, safe trip. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. This property delivered exactly what we were looking for.

Idyllic hotel in a quiet area but with good local transportation connections to Düsseldorf airport and Essen. The hotel has a good restaurant, bar and a 9-pin bowling alley. The rooms and the breakfast are quite basic, but serve their purpose. Overall I think you get really good value for your money when staying in this hotel.

Nice hotel stay for a night. Big rooms, little dated. Could hear some traffic from Road but good location and easy walking distance to old town kettwig, the river and the station to take you into Essen. Breakfast had a good selection and hotel staff were very nice and helpful.

A very pleasant experience for an overnight stay in Kettwig. A great place to dine with generous portions . The breakfast was very good witt a real friendly and attentive service. The rooms were fine ( maybe the bed a bit low ) All in all a perfect place to stay.

The restaurant is just superb, the food is increadible and the service wonderful. The hotel rooms are large and the shower is very good. The location is beutiful. Highly reccommended.

The restaurant is truly phenomenal and one of the best I've dined at in North Rhine-Westphalia! Our server took our allergies very serious and recommended meals and wine pairings. Highly recommend especially for gluten or dairy allergies!

We had an appointment at GOP. We saw this unperfect hotel nearby and liked the idea of imperfection. :-) The service was very nice and they gave us upgraded rooms. The toilet wasn't imperfect, it was supersonic! Warmed toiletseat, treatment for your bottom. You can go to the restaurant for the meals. The were good and there is enough choice for all eaters even vegans.

Friendly checkin staff, clean and comfortable room. The balcony was quite nice. The bed was comfy with a bunch of pillows. Despite being in the centre of town, it was really quiet at night and I had a great night's sleep. Very good value for money.

Good stay Great hotel, reasonable value considering the euros was on, good location only 10 mins walk from the station. The bar, lobby areas amd rooms are stylish and clean and the building is cool. However the breakfast is overpriced at nearly 17 euros - there is a limited buffet selection with no hot food and only coffee from a machine, its not worth the money.

The main station is right on your doorstep, making it extremely convenient. The hotel is super clean, and I was able to change my bed type to a double bed at reception. As a nice bonus, there was a lovely little Christmas market just one minute away.
