I first discovered the Brenners Park Hotel when the Lanesborough in London joined the Oetker Collection and I looked at other properties in the group. I then saw that the hotel was undergoing a major renovation, re-opening last year. I decided to take the plunge and try the hotel, whilst visiting friends in Germany. I booked through a great travel agent, who was able to access Oetker Pearl rates - well worth doing. To cut to the chase - this is absolutely a world class hotel. I'm sure once Michelin has visited now the hotel has re-opened that it will be on track for one if not two Michelin Keys - it is surely at that level. * Location The hotel is perfectly situated in the charming town of Baden Baden. I was there for two nights and would have happily stayed longer. I'd revisit too. Brenners is centrally located overlooking a beautiful garden and river. The hotel has a private access to the garden and it's lovely to stroll through the garden into the town centre. The lots to see and do in Baden Baden - including the Merkur Funicular, which is well worth taking. * Interior design Post the renovation, the interior design is - in my opinion - exceptional. Everything is refined, high quality, comfortable, elegant and also distinct. The hotel made a big deal of not changing radically during the renovation. I didn't stay before, but this is a classically elegant hotel. It made me think of a phrase that I like: 'things of quality have no fear of time'. Brenners certainly has nothing to fear. This is not a 'trendy' hotel. It has enduring quality and charm. It is not, however, generic. There are many touches that feel special and particular. Lighting throughout is excellent and always feels thoughtful and well executed. The carpets in the hallways have a wonderful fern design I've not seen anywhere else. The hotel's signature green is deep, vibrant and distinctive. The lovely blue / green / grey used in the hallways is also charming. There's great art throughout - predominantly posters of exhibitions and attractions in Baden Baden. Fritz & Felix has a more contemporary edge, but again, it's not 'trendy' - it's more thoughtful and considered than that. The Wintergarten Restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and is elegant, cosy and charming. * Room I was in a standard double room. The room itself was adequately sized, whilst the bathroom was very spacious indeed. The quality of interior design continues here. It's certainly traditional or classical in style - but it's not fussy. Lighting controls are simple, fabrics of the highest quality. The bathroom was a highlight - plenty of natural light, a very good shower, a washlet style toilet and a massive vanity. I had a couple of issues with my room that were dealt with in the most professional way possible. They were related to air conditioning and light in the room. I'm sure the hotel will consider my feedback - which was offered in the context of a quality hotel, operating at the highest

My partner and I both work in luxury hospitality, so we can be a bit critical at times, but Brenners Park truly exceeded our expectations. The recently renovated spaces are beautiful, and our room was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and extremely comfortable. The staff struck a great balance between polished and genuinely warm. They were so kind to include thoughtful touches that made our stay that much more special. I regretfully do not have the names, but the gentleman and lady who checked us in on January 14th in the evening as well as the kind lady at the gift shop (Julia?) deserve a special shoutout. We were also glad to visit during the slower season, as the value felt exceptional. Given the quality and service, it would be hard to imagine a stay here not feeling worth it. Every dining experience was excellent, from breakfast to Fritz & Felix (both the bar and dinner) and in-room dining. The spa was another standout. It was impeccably clean, well managed, and never crowded. My partner loved her treatment. The location is ideal. We loved walking through the park and into town, which added so much to the overall experience. I definitely recommend taking a drive up to "Altes Schloss zu Hohenbaden". We were practically the only ones there and the views from the castle were great. We are looking forward to returning, and we will go well out of our way to make sure Brenners is a stop on our next Europe trip. Thank you!!

Best five star I’ve ever stayed at (in terms of service and staff helpfulness).

Some people say nothing is perfect, but the Brenner tries very hard to be perfect!

It’s true that google maps takes you to the wrong spot (off by one street), so they should change that.

But, once you arrive, the staff is ultra helpful. From the valet, to the door service, to the concierge, the people were awesome!

We traveled with our 16 month old kid, and so we were tough customers.

Room service and Conseirge were speedy and accurate with our requests.

They have an AWESOME BALL PIT in their child care day services program which our kid loved. The staff at the day care were great too! Very accommodating!

My wife and I were able to enjoy the spa services including massage, and a mani pedi (for my wife). All high quality and the spa desk was helpful throughout out the process.

The front desk Conseirge was instrumental in assisting us in planning activities. High touch friendly service (good listening skills).

The valet guys were cool to shoot the shit with and they accommodated my special parking needs.

Again, definitely a true five star experience!

Tchuss!

Over my 50 years of life, I have stayed in many five-star hotels around the world — including the Waldorf Astoria, Kempinski, and some of the very finest IHG properties, to name just a few. Yet Brenners Park sets an entirely new benchmark for excellence and luxury. This property is simply perfect. The location is exceptional, the architecture stunning, and the overall atmosphere refined without ever feeling pretentious. The room quality left me genuinely speechless — from the two solid, vault-like doors providing complete soundproofing, to the real limestone tiles and slabs in the bathroom, enhanced by underfloor heating. The room itself is spacious, beautifully lit, and offers generous cupboard space, making it feel more like a private residence than a hotel suite. The gym was, quite simply, outstanding. Every member of staff was exceptional — attentive, professional, and warm. Parking was effortless, with convenient self-parking located right near the Stéphanie’s entrance. What truly sets Brenners Park apart is the feeling of privacy and tranquillity. Despite the vast size of the property, it feels remarkably secluded — almost like being in your own home. You barely encounter anyone else, which only adds to the sense of calm, exclusivity, and understated luxury.

This hotel is redefining absolute rock bottom in hospitality :
- Reservations : 0/10
- Front Office : 0/10
- Housekeeping : 0/10
- Maintenance : 0/10
- Spa : 0/10
- General Manager : 0/10

This is a two part review, part I is about the communications with the hotel over six weeks prior to our arrival, part II is about our first 24h at this absolutely horrible.

Here is part I which was shared with the hotel management prior to our arrival :

“please find bellow a little overview of my experience with Brenners Park hotel so far. I could have written an email at least twice as long, but decided to limit myself to the “greatest hits” of the Brenners’ staff so far…

The communication with Brenners Park Hotel regarding the reservation of our rooms and meals has been the most painful hospitality experience of my life. I have never witnessed such incompetence, chaos, and a complete mess.

Here are just a select few examples of the total amateurism of the hotel staff I have had the misfortune of communicating with:

- Room Booking Chaos: After an initial booking of three rooms, I called to add one additional room. After explaining exactly what was needed over the phone (which was very simple), I received an email where the entire reservation had been changed in ways that were absolutely never mentioned. Dates and names had been completely and randomly changed. It took me two emails and three long phone calls just to get it back to how it should have stayed initially.

- Christmas Lunch Nightmare: There are no words to describe how painful it was to book our Christmas lunch at the hotel. It took approximately three weeks, 12 emails and eight phone calls to get the confirmation for one single meal. After every email, I would receive an automated response promising a confirmation within 24 hours that would never arrive. It was only after the eighth phone call that the reservation was finally confirmed. After succeeding in confirming this one meal—which took me approximately 5 or 6 hours if you count the time for all the emails and calls—I started receiving emails from staff members saying that they were checking if they had availability for this meal and would get back to me shortly. The menu for the meal was sent to me in German (although nobody in the group speaks German), it took one week and 4 emails to finally receive an English version of this menu.

- Overview Request Failure: When asking for an overview of the entire booking to be shared with the other guests of the travel party, it was completely impossible to get an answer. After multiple requests by email, and after speaking to the reservations department at length to explain in detail what I needed and being promised that I would receive the email shortly, nothing ever arrived. Multiple calls to follow up did not change anything. It was only after talking to the Front Office Manager and getting angry for the very first time that I finally received the email—an email that was, of course, as always full of mistakes!!!!

The Brenners' staff have probably wasted close to 20 hours of my time in the course of 6 weeks; Incompetence and mismanagement cannot begin to explain what is going on in this hotel...”

Hi, we drove up from Geneva based on a phone call confirmation that our two minilop rabbits will be allowed to stay with us. Upon arrival the rabbits were denied, when we asked them to check why we were told on the phone ‘yes’, they simply said it doesn’t matter who from their team said yes to us, their policy is no rabbits, even though the room we were asking for was more than 2,000$ a night. The manager was not remorseful at all and was in fact condescending us that we would not be able to find any hotel in Baden with the rabbits, which was not true as 10 minutes later we checked into the far more warm and hospitable Maison Messmer which I would highly recommend. Hospitality comes from accommodativeness, not denying responsibility for arbitrary rules.

I stayed at Brenners Hotel for the first time and was impressed by the beauty of the rooms, which have a timeless, classic charm and are quite spacious. The view of the park, both morning and evening, was stunning. The service was very good, though the bar could use a bit more staff in the evening. The atmosphere there with the fireplace and pianist is simply perfect. The breakfast is outstanding, offering a wide range of high-quality products. An ideal choice for those seeking a "palace" experience in Baden-Baden.

I stayed here as part of the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts. I mostly came here to rank the dining on Beli. The location on Google Maps will take you to the parking garage if you are driving. I didn’t know they had a parking service, and the hotel charged me €39 for the garage. Better off parking for free on the street. The garage is confusing and under construction; there are signs to the hotel that lead nowhere. The hotel staff themselves are very professional and courteous, I enjoyed their service. The hotel bar is very nice (the one attached to the modern restaurant), worth coming just for the bar. The restaurant food was very salty and unenjoyable. I also ordered room service and found it too salty to enjoy. This was ironic given they didn’t charge me for the room service until I told them at checkout it was missing from my bill. The swimming pool and fitness facilities were nice, and the room was great.
