Ochsen Landgasthof

Baden-Württemberg, Friesenheim, Adlerstraße 1 🧭

Nice hotel. Rooms are very practical and clean. Breakfast not ok: warm buffet empty from 09:00 and no refill. Also no more cheese from 09:00. We received coffee at some point but no mugs to drink from:-). So nice hotel but they should improve the breakfast experience.

Rooms are nice and spacious, toilet is clean, the hotel is cozy and the staff are friendly. Good breakfast choices. The location is in a quite area but not very near to the train station.

A little loud on the street side. But otherwise the rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is included. Earliest check-in is at 16:00 and on Sunday... Good luck.

A very nice hotel situated near the Autobahn 5. We had a nice clean room, staff was friendly and dinner and breakfast were good. We booked a cheaper room at the front of the hotel which is near the road, and we slept well with the windows open. With the double windows closed you couldn't even hear the traffic.

The place is much better than photos! We got a new room, it was clean and modern. Good breakfast, excellent service.

We stayed here during our travel too Europa-Park. The staff was really kind and had a good attitude. Here by was the food also delicious. When we got to our room it was super clean, and there were some helpfull supplies. The checkout and check in was super easy and all by all it was a super pleasant stay.

Baden-Württemberg, Lahr, Gärtnerstr.1 🧭

Pretty small rooms but no aircon or mini bar. Good for 1-2 night stay. Breakfast is excellent and service staff is courteous. Lady Mak was quite helpful.

very nice and clean rooms, fantastic food, especially the steak . highly recommended !

We only had diner there but the food was fantastic. We would definitely eat here if we have the chance.

The steak was really good and the spaghetti was the best I ever had.

The room was simple but very comfortable. The food served in the restaurant was absolutely brilliant however! Can't really recommend the steak enough as it was delicious! If you're heading to this part of Germany then it's definitely recommended!

Hotel of arrogance - we carry the nose on the forehead. So the Motto could be. Rooms are nice and clean, the Buffet is rather meager. Operation and Service somewhat aloof.

Eisberg Hotel City

Baden-Württemberg, Lahr, Alte Bahnhofstrasse 6 🧭

Beautiful and clean. Great breakfast service and friendly workers. We spent a nice time here at the heart of Lahr

The somewhat dated rooms are very well maintained and clean. The rooms are rather spacious, and ours had been fitted with a mobile AC unit. The noise from the road would make it impossible to sleep with the window open, which was not an issue for us. But make sure to ask for a room facing away from the main street of you're used to sleeping with a window open. I've stayed in other hotels in the central...

Very nice hotel! The rooms are big and new!

Lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast. Staff were excellent too. We will go back there!

Great hotel. Very good room and breakfast. Exceptionally good and friendly service. Would come back.

Hotel am Westend

Baden-Wurttemberg, Lahr, Schwarzwaldstrasse 97, Schwarzwald, 77933 Lar, Germaniya 🧭

Everything was great except the hand towels. How much does it cost to replace hand towels? I would have happily rated 4 or even 5, if the hand towels in the shower did not look like old worn out rugs. Some rooms have windows opening to restaurant side but if we close the windows, there is no noise. Ample parking space available in front and behind the hotel (free). Overall the stay was nice and comfortable

Very clean , huge room, quiet building. Felt more like a apartment rather than a hotel

I like this Hotel, for room, proximity to Trsin Station, and restaurant below, with nice patio. Unfortunately, they do not seem to work very coordinated, and restaurant service is not very nice according to who attends you. Some of personal are very rude.

Train station is very close, breakfast was delicious

Good hotel. The breakfast not included with the room, but not that expensive. Clean rooms, fresh and confortable. Advisable for business trips or if looking for quiet rest.

Very good hotel, only the Bathroom is old and the ventilator is too noisy :)

Vi kommer tilbage Dejligt sted, god service og et venligt personale.

Only had dinner here in one of the restaurants, very very nice and kind people! Food is good and the entourage is also great. We didn’t sleep here because there was no airco…. And with 30 degrees that is a must for us. That’s the only negative point.

This is our third time staying at this wonderful hotel. It is immaculate, very comfortable beds , perfect accommodations. The breakfast is very unique. You are waited upon and order everything from eggs( made to your personal liking), fresh orange juice etc. It has an incredible ambiance with happy, caring staff. We lived in Germany decades ago and ate here weekly. Looking forward to dinner in...

Der Ochsen

Great place for an intermediate stop toward the Alps/Italy. Cozy, clean rooms and a very friendly breakfast.

The best apartment hotel we have ever stayed in. The apartments are very spacious, new and exceptionally clean. The breakfast is excellent. Served meticulously and very tasty. Highly recommend to anyone coming for a trip to the Black Forest and especially wanting to be close to Europa Park and the Alsace region. Thank you very much for the kind and exceptional service.

Perfect place! Located near Europe park. Spacious rooms, new, modern design, fully equipped kitchen, great bathroom. Convenient parking space, and above all, superb breakfast!

I visited here last summer with my husband and two children. It was conveniently located near Europa Park. The area around the hotel was quiet and there was a supermarket nearby, which was a great relief as we had children and needed to buy food. We booked for 3 nights and 4 days with breakfast only, but all the breakfasts were amazing and we enjoyed choosing different menus each time. They were...

We stayed for two nights at Der Ochsen and used it as our home-base for visiting Europa-Park. The apartments are amazing: very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Nice, clean, cozy, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, parking.

Very good Room was lovely but very hot , one fan to cook a family room in 35 degree heat was not sufficient. Room was clean and restaurant was exceptional- it’s a shame it’s closed on Tuesday and Wednesday (2 out of 4 nights of our stay)

This property is spotless, staff super friendly, delicious breakfast included and the attached restaurant was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Front desk was so nice. Room was very clean. Loved the sky lights that could open for fresh air. It was a comfortable room for 4. The location was convenient for our day driving trips.

Schwarzwaldhotel Gengenbach

Baden-Württemberg, Gengenbach, In der Börsiglache 4 🧭

Good and comfortable rooms, large, quiet. No view (facing directly the other wing), not far from the historical centre, good parking, dog-friendly. Good breakfast, good wifi.

Great location, great breakfast, and a great pool. However, we paid for an extra bed in the room, and when I went to put my daughter to bed, I noticed a strong urine odor. It took a very long time to get a replacement bed brought to the room. When I mentioned the issue at checkout, staff were unwilling to make it right, even though we paid for a bed we couldn’t use at first. Very disappointing.

Staff was outstanding. I’d like to mention the little lady at breakfast. She was so pleasant and nice to talk to. Another lady who stood out was the blonde lady at dinner who was very attentive and friendly! And the young man who helped us in the mornings since he spoke English the best. Thank you!

First time in black forest Great location, short walk to train station and a lot of trails for hiking. Hotel staff was amazing ( special thank you to Michael, Ivanna, and Vannaren Yani). Room is spacious and clean, and the breakfast is ready good too.Totally recommended.

Nice hotel, 10 minutes walk from the pretty village of Gengenbach.

Nicely located, good breakfast area, and bar with outside seating. Some staff went out of their way to help, which was much appreciated as I don’t speak much German. On the downside the evening meal was expensive with a limited menu

Mercure Hotel Offenburg am Messeplatz

I always stay at this hotel when I'm on business trips; the front desk staff are very welcoming.

Clean and tidy, conveniently located, perfect for family outings! There's a supermarket nearby.

This hotel is a bit away from city centre and train station but still within walking distance - a pleasant walk. It is clean and comfortable, very good for the price.

We stayed at the Mercure in Offenburg and overall had a good experience. The free city bus was really helpful for getting around, but it’s worth noting the hotel is not near the train station and feels a bit in the middle of nowhere. The hotel itself was very clean and well-kept. We tried the restaurant – the food was quite basic and very expensive, but since we were hungry it did the trick! A big...

Die Reichsstadt

Baden-Württemberg, Gengenbach, Engelgasse 33 🧭

Gengenbach is a lovely small town only eight minutes on the train from Offenburg. Reichsstadt Hotel and Restaurant is in the middle of town and only a short walk from the station. We booked a three night half board package and really enjoyed our stay. We were allocated a large apartment above their Cocotte restaurant which was very comfortable. It has a hallway, living room, two bedrooms, bathroom...

Great location in the centre of Gengenbach. Nice to find a pool and spa facilities in town hotel. The apartment was small but well-equipped. One drawback was the lack of air conditioning which meant opening the windows onto a noisy bar. We did not receive our welcome drinks. The breakfast was very tasty and the garden setting with views of the town was idyllic.

I wish I could give it 10 stars! We had originally planned to visit Gengenbach for a day trip from Strasbourg but after a very disappointing stay in Strasbourg, we checked out of our planned 4 night stay there after 1 night and made a reservation for 2 rooms at the Die Reichsstadt for that same night. We asked (but didn't expect) to have rooms close to each other to be near our children. Carmen made...

We made a last minute decision to spend a couple of days in the Black Forrest area. The village is beautiful though not extremely lively. The hotel is centrally located, staff is very friendly, breakfast was excellent with a great variety and we enjoyed the whirlpool and small pool. It was hot outside so we were looking for a room with airconditioning which worked perfectly. Our room (211) was large...

Very comfortable hotel right in the middle of charming Gengenbach. All very fresh and modern and, as often in Germany, expect no sign of antiquity even though you’re in an old building. Our room had a king-size bed, the bathroom was super-modern impressive (though it was a bit odd there wasn’t a door into it - though there was into the separate loo) and the air-con (for which we paid extra) was...

Spent five nights here in Sept during a road trip from Scotland to Germany (Mosel valley, Black Forest, Rhine valley). Room is clean and spacious. Tooth brush, shower cap, slippers are not provided. Not sure if it will be provided if you ask. I brought my own. Cristy from front office is very helpful and friendly. And thanks to Michael, owner, who provided complimentary pick up from Gengenbach train station as well as sent us to station the day we left.

Rooms are clean and spacy. Kettle and fridge in room with cash bar.

Room was clean. Breakfast would be excellent with the addition of croissants/pastries.

Clean, comfortable, safe & quiet little hotel with FREE parking and an ELEVATOR in a charming little village. Hotel staff also speaks English, friendly & helpful. Easy walk to restaurants nearby. Breakfast included with many selections, Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay I would recommend

This was a conveniently located medium-budget hotel, a short distance from the beautiful centre of Gengenbach. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I enjoyed my stay there. The room decor could do with a refresh and the shower was a bit leaky, but apart from that, it fulfilled its purpose really well. B&B Hotel Offenburg-City

Baden-Württemberg, Offenburg, Freiburger Straße 43 🧭

The room wasn't very warm. A duvet and a sheet on the bed, and an extra blanket, would have been welcome. The neighborhood was very, very quiet, with a small pizzeria (meh) and a bakery nearby that you have to go to every day since there's no refrigerator in the room. Otherwise, you have to go downtown to eat. For me, who came by train and then taxi, that would have been expensive. A small microwave...

I've stayed in many hotels. This was my first time at the B&B Hotel. I always imagined that B&Bs would be nice and comfortable inside. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The cleanliness wasn't good. Simple but very clean and modern. 15 mins walk from station.

Good, clean, and simple, exactly what you need for a short stay. The rooms are tidy, the service is efficient, and the price is very reasonable. Great value for money!

It’s a perfectly located hotel with supermarkets, food joint in close proximity. Hotel rooms are super clean and comfortable! You have to park in the parkhaus and stamp your parking ticket at the hotel desk to get a discount on overnight stays.

Everything was nice and comfortable. The parking is just next door at Parkhaus Zentrum West and the hotel guests get a discount.

Hotel Liberty

Baden-Württemberg, Offenburg, Grabenallee 8 🧭

We’ve had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Liberty Offenburg twice now (seven years apart) and somehow, it was even better the second time. What makes this place truly special is its history. The owners have done an incredible...

The best night in prison you can imagine. Beautiful hotel, great team, superb hospitality, well worth a stay if you can. Legendary events too

Beautiful and classy hotel! Hats off the the designers, builders, interior designers who transformed this prison into what it is today! Staff very friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast the next morning lovely, warm, and plentiful. Rooms spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Good bed for a good nights rest. Free on site parking. Left separate review on hotels restaurant. Bit more than other...

Very special hotel. Great service and super breakfast. Also the prison details are still there which makes it special. Great rooms.

Very nice, unique hotel and very good dining.

Staying in a former prison – what a brilliant concept, and beautifully brought to life. The hotel is just a short walk from the city center and ideally located for a day trip to Strasbourg. Rooms are modern and generously sized, the restaurant outstanding – the Tomahawk steak is a must-try. Service was quick and genuinely friendly, and parking is available right at the doorstep. We’d gladly return

The place is amazing , clean and quiet . The price it’s alright . Receptionist very kind .

I was surprised with the pillows and bed linen prime quality.

Good choice :-) A really small, but cool hotel. The room is clean and well-maintained. The bed is soft, and you can sleep well. A fun (in a good way) little city hotel. Older building, but renovated. Not far from the train station. Very friendly at check-in, too. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try breakfast.

OK hotel, close to train station Room was nice, bedding high quality. Good breakfast with most items locally produced. A little cold in the room.

Perfect accommodation beyond expectations

Okay enough room I don't usually make a review before I checked out but considering the fact I can't usually find staff I will say the walls are extremely thin and I was just woken up at 4:22 am by some yelling lunatic. It's scary actually but once again because there's no staff at night I can't stay much else. It's close to the train station atleast just didn't sleep much.

Holiday Inn Express OFFENBURG by IHG

Baden-Wurttemberg, Offenburg, Maria-und-Georg-Dietrich-Strasse 8, 77652 Offenburg, Germaniya 🧭

All perfect, friendly service, good location, cleanliness

The room was nice, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the shower had strong water pressure. However, there was no refrigerator in the room. The front desk staff were very helpful — they even let me store my beer in their fridge. Breakfast wasn’t very varied, but it was acceptable.

- clean and comfortable - service can be better at the bar and more flexibility for drinks options. - could have laundry service

Great location. Private carpark with discounted rates for IHG members!

Breakfast is nothing impressive but the most disappointing thing is the parking. 30€ is way too expensive.

Comfy hotel at the walking distance from the Offenburg railway station. Good staff & clean rooms. Good value for money.

Euro - Hotel

Baden-Württemberg, Kappel-Grafenhausen, Hauptstrasse 198-200 🧭

The hotel itself and the breakfast are both good. We booked through Trip with our dog, and it was clearly stated that pets were allowed. However, upon arrival, instead of a welcome, the first words we heard were... 'Dogs are not allowed here.' They could have handled that situation much better. Only after we specifically inquired were we told it would be acceptable to have our dog for an additional...

No air conditioning, good breakfast.

We were looking for a dog-friendly hotel. We found this one online and booked it. Upon arrival, a very unfriendly staff member informed us that pets were not allowed. This immediately presented a problem for us. After a lengthy discussion, our dog was eventually allowed to stay for an additional charge of €20. We would have preferred a friendlier and more understanding welcome.

Basic Budget Hotel If you’re looking for a basic hotel on a budget, this ticks the boxes. There are decently sized beds, toilet facilities, car park and opposite a good 24hr shell garage and Burger King. A downside was that there was no safe available, and the bathroom lock was missing. The rooms get very hot in the warmer seasons, there’s no air-con but there was 2 fans provided and wide-opening...

Baden-Wurttemberg, Offenburg, Rosenstrasse 13, 77654 Offenburg, Germaniya 🧭

Totally recommended. Please take your time to check bus availability and transport options because it's a few minutes from bahnhof but just have 1 bus journey and at night could be a caos.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was spacious and we had a nice view from the balcony. We also like that they were pet friendly, the only less good part was that we reserved the big bed, but in the end had 2 small beds next to each other. Apart from that we highly recommend it if you are looking for a good value for money stay.

Let's start with the fact that we paid 76€ for a double room (we were with a one-year-old child) with a balcony. A room on the first floor with a small coridor from which you entered the bathroom and which overlooked the bedroom. The space was quite large. The decor of the bedroom and vestibule moderately modernist, 6/10. The bathroom in a terrible style from 40 years ago, visually for us 1/10. But...

Nice location: only 25 minutes by foot from the main train station. The room was clean, having own bathroom. No noise during the night. Good breakfast in the morning - I would advice to take one. Fantastic place and location awesome 👌

We turned up at 5:00pm on a motorcycle and booked a room unannounced. Lovely room, lovely family hotel, great evening meal and breakfast. Highly recommend. The rooms are new and very clean with lovely fixtures and fittings. Lift, minibar in the hall, kettle and coffee in the hall.

Amazing stay, as always! Wonderful views, quiet neighborhood, and beautiful drive to key locations in the Black Forest. We also love the kind service provided by the family who runs the hotel. Many thanks!

I rarely give a 5 to anyone. What you see presented in their website is EXACTLY what you get. Typical Alt-Deutsche design but modernized with great taste. Cuisine is wonderfully presented with friendly service. Very comfortable. You get what you pay for here. Very good value for your €uro. I've been here many times and they consistently render the highest service, quality and cleanliness.

Amazing restaurant! Such wonderful food, great service and a beautiful tranquil environment. Highly recommend this restaurant. I will go again and again.

The hotel staff didn’t speak any English (I no we were in Germany but basic pleasantries would have been nice) so don’t expect any help. Didn’t complain about the smell in the room as unable to make ourselves understood.

I enjoyed a really nice stay at Hotel Klosterbraustuben. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was quality and absolutely delicious.

A great hotel in the heart of the black forest. Rooms are big, clean and very practical. Most of the rooms have a balcony which is really nice during summer. Big selection for breakfast. The restaurant is also really good with seasonal dishes.. seasonal soups are great! The sauna and badenhalle is really nice and relaxing. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Its a quiet area and In 10 minutes you...

Nice hotel for a small town, very quaint, friendly staff and good service. Restaurant is also really good, b the steak was huge and really tasty

Rumpsteak was to die for! Kick butt team in the kitchen? I don't know, but the next time over the pond, I'm coming here. Service +++++, Food +++++, atmosphere +++++.

Mattenhof

Baden-Württemberg, Zell am Harmersbach, Egelwaldstr. 1, 77736 Zell am Harmersbach, Germany 🧭

Kids were very happy for the two nights .. wife was also kind of happy but I was not so happy because I was stressed from the checked in process to do anything not to damage / scratch anything. We were told you can checkout late for 20€ extra when we checked in .. during check out we were denied that. Also there is 150€ Kaution and they were discussing with us a scratch in a stainless pot. They showed...

Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars from us :-) An oasis of warmth and learning: The Schmider family farm Our stay at the Schmider family farm at Egelwaldstraße 1, 77736 Zell am Harmersbach, was an absolute enrichment and a wonderfully relaxing time. We wholeheartedly award it 5 stars! Warmth and hospitality: From the very first minute, we felt welcome and perfectly cared for by the warm hospitality...

We felt completely at ease and will definitely come back! Our children (almost 3 and nearly 5) found something exciting to play and discover everywhere. (Large trampoline, various vehicles, climbing tower, swings...) The daily farm walk was designed with great patience and care for the children and was never boring, as it was so varied! Animal welfare is very important to us, so we were delighted...

We had a wonderful family vacation here with our three children. The evening visit to the animals was the highlight for the kids every day, and the tractor ride with Ann-Kathrin was also a truly special moment for them. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed for our vacation; we could even borrow a deep fryer. The hosts were always very friendly and helpful, and we almost felt like part...

The people were very welcoming and helpful, the location was picturesque and the on-site farm shop was an added bonus.

Went here with my group a while ago. Top accommodation for good money. As soon as we have a construction site in the area again, we'll be back. You can also shop late in the evening in the farm's own shop...sausage, bread, schnapps and much more from the farm.

Ferienwohnungen Hog

Baden-Württemberg, Ringsheim, Weingarten 3a 🧭

A super nice family - old house, but very lovingly furnished - perfect value for money - highly recommended.

Very clean and friendly owners. Choose the top floor, because the first floor is wooden and therefore vibrates quite loudly.

Very spacious apartment, everything you need for a comfortable stay, late check-in, free parking. Not far from Euro-Park and Rulantika. I recommend it.

We found a modern and well-equipped vacation apartment at this very nice family's place. We stayed in the "Trauerweide" apartment on the first floor. It was clean and very tastefully furnished. The balcony is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine on warm summer evenings. There's also a games cupboard in the courtyard for children, including Viking chess. The quiet residential area is just a short...

Beautiful, clean, spacious vacation apartment with a few minor annoyances The house has two vacation apartments. We stayed in the lower apartment. The stairs to the upper one are a bit steeper. The landlady, Mrs. Hog, is very friendly. She gives a tour of the apartment upon check-in and provides information about your stay. The vacation apartment is very clean and tidy. It's very cozy, thanks to...

Sun Parc Hotel

Baden-Württemberg, Ringsheim, Im Leimenfeld 3 🧭

Great room and perfect location. Friendly, welcoming staff. Breakfast could be improved but a kind, attentive breakfast hostess made the stay even better. Thank you!

Better than expected. Super close to europa park, a supermarket across the street, nice breakfast, friendly staff

Great location, they also provide a parking ticket. Very close to the theme parks — just 2 km, about 5 minutes by car. The breakfast was also rich and satisfying.

If you need a place to stay after a long day at Europa park this is a great spot. It has friendly staff, clean rooms , a grocery store across the street, even a winery 3 kilometers away and a very good Italian restaurant next door. Whatever you do though do t accept two keys , if you lose one or your kid does they will charge you a crazy 20 euros. One key is enough , do not accept 2nd.

good staff and amazing lady forgot her name already. she really helped us get tickets to Rulantica. The rooms were nice and clean with good breakfast.

5min drive to Europa Park and Rulantica. Clean rooms, family rooms with bunk beds, free great breakfast, complimentary water bottles, and budget friendly. Way cheaper than staying at one of the theme parks! Loved our experience.

Great place to stay with a family when visiting Europa park. Short walk or even shorter drive with parking covered for Europa Park.

Excellent place, very pleasant and quiet. The apartment was very spacious and clean. Plus, the lady gave us free parking for two days at Europa-Park.

Thank you very much for your hospitality, also towards our four children. We really appreciated it and would be happy to come back.
