My second visit to this Hotel, if anything even better than my first. Such a refreshing change from the corporate style of many hotels. Family run, super friendly, spotless rooms, quiet, decent internet. Almost homely. And the breakfasts are amazing. I can see from other reviews that it's difficult to get big bags up to the 4th floor and this has to be born in mind. If you can cope with a few steps you'll be in for a treat.

A hotel for lovers of a romantically staged ambiance. Overall, we felt very comfortable; we found the beds to be very comfortable. Everything went smoothly, and guests were greeted and served in a very friendly and attentive manner. The hotel's location is excellent in the city center, close to the main train station, making it ideal for reaching all points of interest. The breakfast was beautifully arranged and served at the table. It was good and absolutely sufficient, and more was served upon request. Certainly a pleasant alternative to the generic, run-of-the-mill mid-range hotel.

We stayed at this hotel as a stopover for our train trip Berlin - Paris. Short walk from the train station. I made the reservation ahead by internet and was expected upon arrival. I knew from previous reviews that there was no elevator. The check-in was like it was 40 years ago, to include being given a real key for the room and the front door of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom clean. It was great for one night. We easily found a Vietnamese pho restaurant nearby for dinner. At the front desk one can purchase drinks and snacks. I would recommend staying here, especially if coming by train.

The people were very nice and everything was quite excellent. I especially liked the way they served breakfast to the table and what they brought. I had a nice talk to the Hotel manager, she told me the story about a Painting in the lobby that was connected to her father who ran the Hotel before.

Small family-run hotel directly at the train station. We had a well-kept, large room facing the inner courtyard (hardly any outside noise heard, as there were shutters on the window) on the top floor, without a lift, but with the small suitcase for one night it wasn't a problem at all. In the cozy and lovingly furnished breakfast room, a delicious breakfast awaited us (coffee, orange juice, scrambled eggs, yoghurt with fresh fruit, a tiered stand with cheese, sausage, etc.) brought directly to the table and replenished if necessary. Owner and staff are very friendly. Even the invoice is written by hand with a pen. Just awesome. Where else can you find that?
Parking was not a problem as the underground car park is not far from the hotel. If we want to stay in Mannheim again, we will definitely book at the Hotel Kurpfalzstuben.

Very neat and clean, and I liked the traditional feel of the hotel and the beautiful presentation of the breakfast. Wifi was fast and reliable, which wasn’t the case for many other hotels I stayed at on this trip.

Very clean, the owner very nice, always enough breakfast and the parking garage only about 2 to 3 minutes walk away. I would love to come back to the Kurpfalzstube again.

The Hotel is a DISASTER!
I was housed in a tiny room in which it strongly smelled like vomit! I could see the stains on the poorly cleaned carpet! The reception was not contrary to the statements here, nice! The owners seem to be of your guests annoyed and to have any claim to be lost! The heating was turned on full, and did not regulate! Since the Hotel is located directly on a main road, you can not open due to the noise and the booming music of the window! The defective heater was of course claimed by me! The Lady (Owner?) came and found it puzzled that the heating is broken! She could not help me because the Hotel is fully booked, or was! She thanked me for the Information, so other guests do not have to come into the enjoyment of a Sauna in the Winter! It is, however, not to mention from my side that I believe her! As in any other Portal is in the exactly the same heating problem and a tiny and dirty room is faulted! The entry was a year ago!

Sweet room, great Breakfast. Unfortunately, there is no Elevator. This is the not so cool when you are in 4. Floor lives.

Central location very close to the train station. Owner-managed for 45 years. Cheap hotel garage 2 minutes away. Clean, quiet and good facilities. Five stars for a three star hotel.

What a lovely little spot this is.
Great food, great service, great prices.
I had the 250g rump steak that was cooked perfectly with a wonderful pomegranate salad with a balsamic dressing washed down with an equally pinot noir.
Only €26 for the steak and salad.
Nothing about this restaurant disappointed.
It is small, so, if you're set on going here, best book ahead as I got the last table when I drifted in off the back of the other Google reviews.

Middle ages come back, you can go and try, it was like another world. Poor service, rats playing around the hotel (can be documented with video). But if you hate air conditioner its good place - no any air conditioner. This is not 3-star hotel, may be 2 star.

Very rude personal. The worst hotel I have ever seen. Lots of rats and insects. If you’re sensitive to noises in the middle of night, stay away from this place.

Rooms are clean and stuff is very nice. The reason for this 2 star rating is the fact that I received a room different from what I booked on booking. The pictures on booking looked much better than the room that I got. Another issue was the fact that it didn't have a double bed, but twin beds which was annoying. After complaining at the reception I got another room which looked more like the one on booking, but it still didn't have a double bed, but a single larger one. The price that I paid for this hotel is too high from my point of view. Moreover, the breakfast was not included and for 7euro/day I find this very expensive considering the fact that you didn't have a lot of options and it didn't vary from day to day.
