Reviews
The place is MASSIVE but also spotless. Rooms are well appointed and they are very accommodating to children. We received a crib, baby cup, baby slippers and dressing gown as well as a changing mat and nappy bin in our room.
Pool is big, perfect temp and with a nice outdoor and kids pool. The spa area is also large with everything you want.
The indoor playground is out of this world. You never need to leave the hotel if you dont want to!
Highly recommend and will continue to return
This is supposed to be a family hotel, but there is only 1 toilet with a changing station and 1 very sad room where kids can play..nothing else!
Restaurants are expensive and the food is bad (and nothing for babies)
It was horrific and inhumane – even though the room was cleaned and we stayed there for a whole week, they claimed they would have to close it in order to clean it.
Liars, exploiters, and inhumane.
The facilities were top-notch: an inviting indoor heated pool, a relaxing outdoor pool, and a quiet spa area
Dinner each evening was a pleasure, thanks in large part to the warm hospitality of Regina and Fernando from the dining team. We also enjoyed the new Italian restaurant, where Ali the friendly waiter made the experience even more enjoyable.
A big shoutout to the professional and welcoming manager, who ensured every detail was taken care of with ease and a smile.
All in all, it was an unforgettable stay — relaxing for the adults and exciting for the teens.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and truly cared for. Traveling with small children (especially a baby!) is no easy task, but the hotel went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Cribs, baby-changing stations, child-friendly dining options – everything was thoughtfully provided.
The family-friendly atmosphere is one of the hotel's greatest strengths. Our 5-year-old was completely enchanted by the kids' program – from creative crafts to fun outdoor activities – and it gave us a bit of time to relax knowing she was in great hands. The hotel staff were so patient and kind with her, which we truly appreciated.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped for a family with young children. The views of the Black Forest was absolutely breathtaking. Even with a baby, we were able to unwind thanks to the peaceful setting and the excellent sound insulation.
The food was exceptional, with a great balance of gourmet and family-friendly fare. Every meal felt special, and the staff never hesitated to accommodate our requests for our picky little eater or warm up a bottle for the baby.
We also enjoyed the spa and wellness facilities (taking turns, of course!). It’s rare to find a place that caters so beautifully to both relaxation and family comfort – this hotel has managed to strike that perfect balance.
To sum it up: our stay was outstanding. If you're traveling with kids and still want to feel pampered, cared for, and genuinely relaxed, Vier Jahreszeiten Hotel am Schluchsee is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back.
Fatima at the front desk was especially helpful and genuine!!
