We came here for lunch, and the staff were extremely nice and welcoming.

I had the fillet and crème brûlée. The steak was really good and cooked well. The crème brûlée, however, had a slightly unusual taste, though the sorbet served with it was very good. Overall, it’s a nice place, but it does lean toward the expensive side.

We stayed only at Treschers Schwarzwald Hotel... and it was not enough! Reception was friendly and efficient (like everywhere we went in Germany). The hotel is beautiful inside and our lake view room was lovely, with one of the best showers we had throughout our European tour. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, accompanied by very good service. The only thing we could complain about was the hair dryer -- my wife said it was one of the worst she ever used anywhere. We would love to go back there... and for more than one night next time.

A lovely hotel on the lakeside with friendly and welcoming staff. Super room and bathroom together with a great breakfast selection. Pool and outside deck - an ideal holiday hotel!

Very close to local restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant in the evening is limited to a four course dinner and this is not what we wanted. A simple meal in the evening suited us better.

Treschers is a lovely lakeside holiday hotel. We stayed for five nights and enjoyed our time here. The lake view room is large and very comfortable with a peaceful ambience. There is a good efficient bathroom too. The breakfast buffet is very tasty with good coffee and choice of food. We did not use the restaurant in the evening as it only has a four course menu. We preferred to eat more lightly at the nice local restaurants mentioned by the hotel’s website. They are very close to the hotel and good. There is a sun deck and pool and we enjoyed perfect sunny weather for four days. Everyone working in the hotel are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quite expensive. However, it is good value with the excellent location, service and accommodation.

Warm, friendly and charming staff from reception and check-in, waiters and other staff.
We had a wonderful stay.
The breakfast is excellent and the dinner is also of a high standard.

Great location. BUT if you are American prepare to be unhappy. The rooms need refreshing (bathrooms are nice however). The staff makes it clear Americans are unwelcomed. Every request is met with an initial no then a lecture about "we do it this way" and only then perhaps a yes. E.g. can i get another pillow. This is NOT service and the hotel staff would greatly benefit from time spent at a hotel school. Such pontential lost to what Americans will take as rudeness.

We used to come here as a family many years ago, and my parents still come here yearly. The hotel continues to be one of the most special places we know!
The location is unbeatable, peaceful, right on the lake, with stunning views and an atmosphere of total calm. The rooms are beautiful, breakfast is outstanding, and the range of services available makes every stay effortless and relaxing.
What truly makes this hotel exceptional though, is the star-level guest service: warm, attentive, generous. Treschers is a heritage hotel that truly honors the art of hospitality. We are already looking forward to coming back! Thank you for everything 😉

Great stay, room was pretty basic but very clean and view was amazing. I had a little balcony to enjoy the view. Breakfasts were hearty, very good choice and restaurant meal was very good. Staff friendly and attentive.

We have just had a 5 night stay at this hotel having driven from the UK. The journey was worth it. We had a Superior double with a balcony and the room was absolutely gorgeous. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and the view was spectacular. The Spa is very well appointed, sauna, steam etc and indoor and outdoor pools with plenty of space for relaxing. We ate in the restaurant and the food was also really good and well priced - our bill increased by the good selection of local wines available but we can live with that! The feel of the hotel is relaxed and friendly and quietly, rather than ostentatiously, luxurious. All the staff we encountered were exceptional and made our stay really memorable.

Mixed experience - the Location is lovely, the view of the room towards the lake as well. The main receptionist was not even greeting me on my arrival - the younger one was way nicer. The room in the 3rd floor was very hot and without AC, when asking for a fan at the reception I did not get one. At dinner, where at first I had to justify that I had the right to be seated (as I had booked the expensive add-on offer which was the 3-course dinner) I complained again about the hot room. I think I was attended by the owner because this time I got the fan to my room immediately. The dinner (fish) was bland on the first night with a rude and inattentive server. I contemplated to skip the dinner on the second night, although I had paid for it. Finally I went there and this time it was much better - the food (lamb racks) was tasty and the server much better than the previous one. It is a pity that not all personnel seems to welcome guests and are friendly. As a owner I would look into this as there have been some other complaints as well.
