Park Hotel & Spa Katharina in Badenweiler

The hotel is located directly on the spa gardens and very close to Luisenstraße, where several restaurants can be found. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service for an extended period during our stay, so we were offered a room in the annex building to avoid the three floors. With its historic charm—the hotel housed the writer Chekhov during the final weeks of his life—it impresses at first glance. However, the recent renovation raises mixed feelings, as the design standards were less than convincing. Our room was spacious and well-equipped. The bathroom left something to be desired, lacking a separate toilet. Furthermore, you had to specifically request a kettle to make tea or coffee in the morning—something that's pretty standard these days. The wellness area is also decent, but with its small sauna, where there are often waits on weekends, it doesn't offer much more than the bare essentials. The breakfast didn't impress us either: the selection was limited and the quality unfortunately left something to be desired. Overall, however, the hotel offers a charming setting that, with some improvements, has the potential to make an even more rounded impression.

It was very disappointing that the restaurant was closed during the Christmas season. There was also a price reduction. Please reply.
