Beautiful, quaint, and owners are extremely friendly and speak English very well. The Sunday morning breakfast was simply incredible and it felt like everyone new each other and they made us feel like family.

It is fantastic place, very clean, good furnitured rooms and clean bathrooms are worth to stay there. You need to ask in the morning for scrambled eggs, which will be served by nice owner. It is good point to meet beautiful places around. At the finish of your visit there, you will be supprised relatively low price of accomodation.

The views from our beautifully furnished, spacious room were lovely, especially with fall foliage. At the owner's suggestion, we walked into town through the woods and back along the lake. We stayed here with our dog for 1 night. everything went well for us. Room was affordable compared to other hotels. Unfortunately we could not test the wellness area in the short time. Although parking was a challenge and the hotel is undergoing renovations, we enjoyed our stay. We could walk right out to the Main Street.

The stay was a pleasure in every respect. The professional and at the same time family atmosphere of this hotel is outstanding, the employees are a real team, the commitment of the management is noticeable in every detail. Added to this is excellent food, a wide selection, impeccable service and, as a now rare luxury, a bathtub in the unusually spacious bathroom. We will be back!

Good location in the pedestrian area of Waldshut and a nice room which was clean and tidy.

A nice and clean hotel. The food and drinks were good as was the breakfast. Overall pleasant place to be! The rooms need updating a bit. In particular the mattresses were terribly soft and probably worn out. Also the WiFi is not very fast

Amazing! The amenities and services are awesome for its price. The staff were super friendly and helpful, both at the reception and the restaurant. The location is also brilliant, close to hiking trails, lakes, and ski slopes. The view from the rooms is very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel with very nice views and great food. From our bedroom windows one could see down into the valley and we really enjoyed our dinner there. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is great price-value. There are very beautiful hiking trains around.

Nice place, breakfast could be improved and varied throughout the week to provide some variety. More fruit and veg would be nice. Rooms are OK but could be cleaner and updated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Stairs and driveway to the hotel can be very slippery and dangerous in icy conditions. Hot water is intermittent and needs some improvement.

We were very happy with our stay. It was 5 star service from start to finish. The room was excellent. The bathroom was better than a lot of bathrooms we've seen in more expensive hotels & our hosts were fantastic. Very nice hotel with just 18 rooms. All rooms have a balcony or terrace, a free safe and a free Wi-Fi connection. We were looking for a cozy, home-like hotel, and we found it right by the lake with its breathtaking view. A large fireplace, a wood fire, Christmas decorations, professional, discreet, and attentive staff, not to mention the hearty breakfast buffet. We'll definitely go back without hesitation.

All was great and staff all very friendly and attentive. Only spot for improvement are the breakfast buffet coffee mashines. 2 is not enough and both only provided warm coffee.

Magnificent and with a great restaurant

First time this year in the Gasthof. The location is excellent if you want to be close to the nature and in a peaceful place. There are many opportunities for hiking as well and exploring the black forest. The room we had was excellent. Clean, very cozy and with all the amenities one might need. I honestly loved being there and I would go back again!

We came here for lunch, and the staff were extremely nice and welcoming. I had the fillet and crème brûlée. The steak was really good and cooked well. The crème brûlée, however, had a slightly unusual taste, though the sorbet served with it was very good. Overall, it’s a nice place, but it does lean toward the expensive side.

A lovely hotel on the lakeside with friendly and welcoming staff. Super room and bathroom together with a great breakfast selection. Pool and outside deck - an ideal holiday hotel! Very close to local restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant in the evening is limited to a four course dinner and this is not what we wanted. A simple meal in the evening suited us better.
