A nice enough but not particularly flash hotel. I assume you get what you pay for. Rooms varied largely, and where we stayed was very run-of-the-mill. Breakfast was fine, but felt a bit like a 'plastic and neon light' presentation, and I have had much nicer for a similar budget in Germany.

Oh dear! Probably need to learn how to run a 3-star hotel. We were given a twin-bedded uncomfortable, disabled room rather than a double as booked. No internet in room, poor in the reception area. Breakfast is standard German but unexciting. Dinner was disgusting with little or no choice, school dinners spring to mind. Dinner only at 6/6.30. Young friendly staff need training. Doesn't take card payments. No bar service in restaurant, only off drinks menu, bar seemed to close at 8. Woolfach is lovely.

- The physical reception is not as good as the telephone reception - the meal; a buffet (no prices displayed, nor a children's menu). * four salads followed by a very simple meal (probably canned), and to finish a fruit compote served with mini pancakes. Except that there was not enough for the 4 of us. Only 2 were able to eat it. * the bill arrives; 25 euros per meal and the same price for my 12-year-old child!!!! * knowing that we did not have the full meal, under the pretext that we should have arrived earlier. We arrived at 6:20 p.m.... * very cold swimming pool, supposedly heated * very good room, nothing to complain about

The staff was very kind and the hotel was in a great spot. Very limited parking on site, but there are public lots nearby. The rooms are a bit dated but well maintained

The room was small but OK. You should avoid the half board option. Almost all of the staff seem to be employed on a 538 euro basis. Their motivation varies accordingly. The students who cleared away the food did a good job. The cook... well, better not to book half board. The man at the bar tried very hard, but if there are no ice cubes, the selection is limited. Did I already say that it is better not to book half board?

Stayed at hotel, part of Shearings Black Forest Tour. Had single room, as did my daughter, no balcony, but room good, comfy pillows and bed, housekeeping every day, shower pressure great, room opposite bell tower, no problem with bells chiming, didn't notice it. Breakfast good, continental, scrambled egg etc. Evening meal, lot to be desired, but that's Shearings and their budget for trip. Hotel staff amazing, from reception, dining room and bar staff, a big thank you for making our stay special. Only downside was Shearings passengers on last night, disgraceful behaviour. I would definitely recommend this hotel, nice bars and restaurants nearby, lovely area and close proximity to town.

For a cheap money you pay, you get to stay in a nice, very clean hotel. It's old stylish but still nice for a stay. Has a small pool which can be used also in the night, as well as sauna...
