Fantastic food in the restaurant, nice setting and friendly service. Best Flammkuchen (German style pizza) I've had in a very long time! Review just for the restaurant, didn't stay in the hotel.

This hostel, both the bedding and the bathroom, were extremely clean. The hostel also has a small cafe. It was not at all crowded during my visit, near the end of summer. The staff are helpful. The hostel is within a 15 minute walk of several trailheads. There is an early morning alarm, as cows are walked to their grazing field around 6am and again in the evening, but as the hostel caters to hikers eager to get on the trail, this was no problem for me.
