Fantastic authentic Bavarian hotel and restaurant with great views of Nebelhorn! Indoor pool, beautiful sauna and outdoor seating next to their own stream with mountain views. The food was great and the service friendly and attentive! Would definitely recommend to others!

This truly is the most beautiful Bavarian experience. We have stayed here twice on our travels to Germany. Lovely hotel and wonderful staff. Food was outstanding.

Everything was very nice and well taken care of. The Hotel has a lot of small details for the guests that make the stay really enjoyable. The wellness area is wonderful with a dim lighting that helps to get into relaxation mood and wonderful views to the mountains. A special thanks to the restaurant crew for always having alternatives for people with food intolerances. We will definitely come back

Water lounge with resting area (with hammocks and beds) is very extraordinary and relaxing. All the details are taken care of. Very well maintained, super good organized ( they clean your room when you are at breakfast , so you are not disturb later in your leisure time) and clean hotel.

Very basic for the price..most Hotels in that price range provide basic toiletries, only hand wash in the bathroom, nice continental breakfast, bar area nice polite & helpfull staff, and Mcdonalds is only across the road 😀

The hotel is oldfashioned, at least spotlessly clean. The welcome was not warm either. Apart from a nice breakfast and a lovely lady serving us there was not much one would come back for. Maybe the nature around.

I can only agree with the positive reviews. The small but subtle difference to the restaurants in Downtown-Fischen is that here the tables are only allocated once per evening! So you really eat (the very tasty trout) in peace! We would love to come back.

We were here at the end of September Small, fine, clean hotel in a beautiful location, nice and helpful staff. We stayed in hotel Berwanger Hof for a week. For some time together for the two of us. And as a base for cycling tours around the Allgäu. The place is great. Very nice location: quit, with a wonderful view. Nice spa (to relax after cycling or treat yourself to wonderful, professional massages). Amazing food. And everybody here is super nice and attentive. It is advertised as a four star which I would say is correct for the breakfast buffe (fresh honeycomb was a really nice touch!) and spa area but not for the rooms. These are more of three star quality. The locations is in a tiny quiet village two km away from Oberstdorf which you can walk to if you want.

A wonderful hotel for skiing. The breakfast, in my opinion, is perfectly stocked with a wide variety of options. It's easy to get to the surrounding ski resorts. The mattresses were a bit too hard for me personally, but nonetheless, this wonderful hotel deserves 5 stars.

We spent a total of five nights at the Schellenberg and felt incredibly comfortable. The hotel is super centrally located, just a few minutes from the center. The breakfast offered a wide selection, even for us vegetarians. The sauna area was larger than we expected and offered plenty of opportunities to relax. The location was exceptional right next to the main train station and about 15mins to the Nebelhorn cable car station. The hotel ambience was very relaxing and the staff quite friendly. Very personal, private guesthouse with cozy rooms, delicious breakfast and an attractive location right next to the Breitachklamm and only 15 minutes by car from the Nebelhornbahn and 25 minutes from the Fellhornbahn.

We were here in August 2020. Everything was wonderful. We would have liked real rolls for breakfast. Unfortunately, there were only Aufbackweckle, which were then rock hard. Pity!

The food was really good! The buffet offers soooo many delicious things, wow! The spa area consists of 4 saunas, but unfortunately only one is really hot. Further, they only do two events per day (at least in the hottest sauna) but they literally just came in, threw the ice in the oven and left without any comments...

Second time here. I love this resort. It’s truly in a beautiful location and has an incredible spa. Dining is a bit expensive but worth it. Take time to hike around the region. Live music in the evenings is a bonus!

Sport hotel with class! A great hotel, a bit outside of Oberstdorf. But there is a bus right outside the hotel. It takes only a couple of minutes - and you get a card from the hotel - so no charge. We have been there twice and can only say that you feel great there. Nice and very friendly owner, nice team . Everything was very clean, comfortable and a great breakfast, plus the great view. We will be back in 5 weeks and will celebrate our silver wedding with the family there in May. We have already been there 7 times in the meantime and in 2 weeks we will be there for the eighth time.

I stayed at Sascha's Kachelofen for skiing. Everything was perfect! A variety of breakfast, lovely decoration, tidiness, and large space of the room, location of the hotel, staff...! Central location and fabulous rooms with double balcony/conservatory and I loved the alpine theme. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. We also sampled a local yodelling band as they had evening entertainment which really made the night. I would definitely recommend but if you are a light sleeper you may not like the church bells close by.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in a terraced studio at an annex building 2 minutes from the main one. The room was spacious and had a walk-in closet which was extremely handy at the time. A very nice hotel with a very personable welcome. The breakfast is great, the thermal bath / sauna area is highly recommended. The location of the hotel is a bit away from Oberstdorf but can be reached by bike in 8 minutes. Gladly again Daniel & Katharina / 32 & 28 / on July 11th, 2020
