We have already stayed at this hotel for the second time, and I think we will stay here again next year! Great location right in the city center, parking garage, reasonable prices, tasty breakfast, friendly staff, big rooms, and the option to book family rooms (two rooms with one entrance). There are also restaurant with Franconian cuisine and a brewery in the hotel ( or better to say that hotel is a part of historical brewery).

Good hotel in the middle of the old town. Large, well furnished room and a very good choice for breakfast. Restaurant was good, very busy but with a great atmosphere. Being in the old town was great and the location let us wander this medieval town with ease.

Here you can drink draft beer from 4 Bamberg breweries ( Mahr , Spezial , Schlenkerla, Kessmann) and 2 more by the bottle Göller and Maisels. So stopping here helps you try a good variety of local Bamberg Beer.

We ordered the dinner special for two. It was excellent, however, after reading other people’s reviews I realize now later that we were missing a sausage as others who ordered the same thing received two and we only received one. Very disappointing after the fact and a star removed due to feeling taken advantage of since we couldn’t read the menu very well. There is an English translation but it is poorly translated as it didn’t specify how many sausages we should have received and only discovering the missing link after. Overall it was still delicious though and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Are lunch here and enjoyed it very much. Service was good and friendly. Bier was very good and cold. Enjoyed the Sauerbraten greatly along with the sautéed red cabbage. Wife had the pork shoulder which was very nice. Thank you!

A total gem right in the centre of the old town. Olde worlde, situated central old town. Huge room, comfortable and clean. Dogs are very welcome. Incredible restaurant, superb quality, amazing choice and value. Well known for its food. Breakfast served in a different part of the hotel and has a canteen feel to it. However amazing, well stocked choice of food. The best coffee we have had in years. Overall you will not find better .. and the reasonable price is a huge bonus. Parking at the hotel. Wi fi, lift

After trying to be seated at a nearby restaurant and treated rudely, we crossed to this cozy plaza and had great service and good food. Some of us chose better than others, but it was very enjoyable. Local Frankish food and we had some of those. I was with 3 native Germans.

We were forbidden from playing cards in the hotel restaurant, even while enjoying a glass of wine. Singing was also prohibited by the owner. My comment at reception was that this had never happened to me before anywhere in the world. Unfortunately, this completely ruined the overall impression of the room.

Absolutely lovely hotel! The rooms have a lot of space. The neighbourhood gets noisy in the evening and really noisy in weekends. The hotel is next to the pubs and also consider you are next to the church. Church means - from 6 to 22 you hears bells ringing every 15minutes. 7am is like a fire alarm.

Expensive or no parking. There is small parking lot in front, but it is expensive. We used parking building in the city, which was just 10min walking.

Few remarks, which are nitpicking: no kettle in the room, but when asked, they borrowed one in the reception. Small glasses in the room to drink tea from. Breakfast is decent but there is not enough greens, which might be regional thing.

I visited here because Schlenkelra was full. But I was totally impressed of their services, foods and beer. There is also Rauch beer ! (Speziel / Schlenkelra).
