3 star hotels in Fussen

I think five stars all round is warranted. You have to judge a place on what it is, and this is a classic Germanic hotel with that slightly 1980s feel about it, with a dash of modernisation that makes it cosy, authentic and what you are used to expecting. I think it has a lot of family history, and overall it's a very clean and tidy hotel with all you really need, and it's very clean. Rooms are, of...

Had an excellent stopover night with the dog. Very hospitable hosts. Excellent diner and abundant breakfast buffet. Special thanks to Dani and her enthousiasm.

Loved every single thing about this hotel/apartment! From the rooms, to the hospitality to the restaurant! The rooms were spacious, the bathroom was big (be careful the tub is a little slippery), we had a personal issue (our fault-nothing to do with the hotel or anything) and after sending an email to the hotel they were very helpful and understanding. This was also one of the cleanest places I have...

What a great find for a hotel stay! We found the hotel extremely clean and the staff incredibly helpful. We arrived and were able to sit and enjoy a fresh coffee in the restaurant, a wonderful break from our long car ride. The rooms both had balconies where we could see Neuschwanstein Castle across the lake. A small loveseat and table with chairs were in the room to work if needed. The grounds were...

It is about 10 min away from the station and I could see the Neuschwanstein castle from my balcony. We can board bus to the castles at a distance of about 1.5km. bus aren't that frequent. Room is small and cosy, sauna is very good. Good breakfast and smiling, friendly service

Good location parking a bit away in grage

All staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice amd clean. Would stay here again!

The living conditions are excellent, the environment is beautiful, and it's very convenient to get to the town – just a short walk away. Parking is also very convenient, with underground parking available, which is both safe and reliable.

Speaking some English would help. General "I'm not in a hurry and neither should be you" approach might fire back sometimes

It was nice clean and spacious.

This hotel was great. The area is beautiful with plenty of outdoor activities.

A high-quality hotel. The welcome is extremely warm and family-friendly. We stayed for 3 days with two toddlers on a half-board basis and everything went perfectly. A special mention for the breakfast, which is extraordinary

Spent two nights recently. Had a wonderful time. Rooms were exactly like pictures. Big bathroom! Bed was firm but comfortable best sleep of our vacation. Breakfast was great decent selection of fresh items. Front desk staff was able to accommodate our request for an extra nights stay. No restaurant when we were there but staff provided a good suggestion for dinner.

Fasinating place. I spent such a good night here. Would definitely recommend.

I really liked it. The room was large, with a balcony and a beautiful view.

The room was quit big. The bathroom had so many shelves, which were very helpful. The shower room was also quit roomy. There're enough cabbets and hangers, room entrance (door area) was so spacy. It'd be nice if there's a fridge and water to drink. I wanted our room floor to be vacumed. The staff was super friendly. Everyone was so nice and hospitable. The breakfast had a great selection. Great staff...

The hotel facilities are good, the surrounding environment is good and quiet. But the location is relatively remote, the breakfast is monotonous, there are no vegetables, the fruits are very few and the quality is very poor, and the restaurant waiters have no sense of service at all.

Staff is very helpful and offered free Sauna to 9pm

Everything was perfect – 10/10 stars! The guesthouse has a beautiful design and decoration. The location is great, just near Füssen Old Town. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked for a kettle, and she kindly provided us with cups and tea bags. Even when we accidentally broke a cup, she handled it very kindly. We are truly sorry and very thankful for the hospitality. They also...

Nice view and breakfast hotel, traditional local stay and comfortable!

The hotel staff was very nice , rooms itself clean and spacious . The breakfast was comprehensive with many choices . Price level is appropriate .

Hotel location in the nature is really positive. Room and bathroom very clean and treated. The best of the best was wellness center: such nice and clean wellness center I have not see long tine. Really great hotel to visit

Green location with parking & walking distance to hiking trails. Clean & cosy room, value for money

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT , from the location to the restaurant and the large room

Loved the view of the lake and the mountains from our balcony, very spacious room

In August 2025, we stayed for three nights at this hotel with our family. In total, we had booked three rooms for ten people, including an eight-year-old girl with a gluten allergy. Due to an unexpected traffic jam, we arrived later than planned. Check-in went smoothly, and the restaurant chef was very helpful. He assured us that a gluten allergy would not be a problem and that we could simply mention...

Hotel Geiger’s excellent panoramic suite is overlooking the lake and mountains. It has a spacious seating area, bathroom and balcony. Free WiFi, varied breakfast buffet, wellness and good restaurant. Super friendly and helpful staff. Bus stop in front of the door and 2 train stations in the area. Have enjoyed my stay so much again and booked again for next year.

Hotel is at best location. Food is great. Staff is super helpful and awesome. One of the best location to stay.

The breakfast was the best! The dining room overlooks the beautiful lake and mountains and the food is really tasty. The room we got was a bit tucked in the back and had no view. It was very large and the beds were comfortable enough. It did get quite cold and we had no ability to adjust the heating. Note that there is no parking included with the hotel, there is only street parking and it is only...

The hotel itself is good, with friendly service, large but rather simple rooms, and a beautiful view. Unfortunately, our dinner experience in the restaurant was very disappointing – the food was dry, tasteless, and not freshly prepared, so we had to leave without eating. Other downsides: there is no bicycle rental, the climb up from the village to the hotel is very steep, and the bar is closed on...

I recently stayed at Hartungs Hoteldorf for three nights, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect — the ski pistes are just a stone's throw away, Austria is right around the corner, and the famous Neuschwanstein Castle is also nearby. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a kitchen that has all the utensils you might need. The view from the room was simply breathtaking...

We spent 2 nights in this hotel the location is really beautiful and the service is also best we wishing to visit again the most interesting things about hotel is breakfast is so good and the bus ticket provided by hotel is absolutely free so you can enjoy the travel in the city all day

-Craft cocktail service with great attention to detail. -Beautiful terrace location to watch the sunset. -Cozy up to the bar for an evening cup of tea after walking in the cool mountain air. -Delicious breakfast bar includes dairy items from local farms and the ability to make cold-pressed juice. Dinner is nice too, but breakfast is superb. -Room was immaculately clean. Hope to visit again!

Clean rooms, beautiful view and friendly staff 👍🏻👍🏻

The location of the hotel is very nice. All of the staff were very friendly. The food is excellent. The panorama terrace offers a very nice view and delicious cocktails. The room we had was getting a bit old and the green carpet in the hallway is no longer up-to-date. I think the price for the room is a bit too high. The swimming pool in the hotel is spacious and clean.

Great location with ample parking. Breakfast was extensive and generous. Only a 10 minute drive to the castles. We would stay here again.

Staff was unbelievably helpful, the breakfast was lights out, and the views from our 2nd floor room were amazing!

Great location near the King's castles. Well appointed room and bath.

Nice room with some space to move around. The staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Very attentive service by the staff and a great breakfast.

Landhotel Guglhupf felt like home. I loved how they paid attention to detail not only in the varied choices of delicious food they serve for breakfast but also in how lovingly they set the tables. I will never forget the breathtaking view of the majestic mountains that greeted us every morning.

Travelled for a week through Bavaria, and this hotel was the highlight of the trip. The owner is very organized and sent detailed instructions to get our room, anytime we arrived. We requested a room on the second floor with a mountain/lake view and it was breathtaking. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the balcony was perfect for watching the sunset in the evening. The breakfast was...

Nice location, Apartment was very clean and it perfectly fits for a couple who are on a trip.

We got a room in the ground floor. The room is very nice and clean. Ground floor has no Lake view. They have a sauna in the basement that guest operate themselves. Small but totally does the job. The concept is self check in which works well. There is parking and also a charging station.

The hotel is located at a beautiful location next to the lake. The view is beautiful. The room had a balcony so you can enjoy the view while sipping coffee. Though I saw small cockroaches in my room so I reduced one star but I had a good time there.

The rooms were spacious and nice. The balcony view was breath taking. The problems i had are 1. the parking was in the street which was very tight already. 2. Also since they didn't have AC, opening the windows brought some insects. 3. The shower room door had a plastic part didn't block the water from being leaked. So every time we took a shower, the water leaked out onto the bathroom floor...

a lovely little hotel set in a fairy tale like surrounding the hotel is very well maintained and designed spacious room with great views a wonderful breakfast was included wine coffee etc available thru self service highly recommended

One of the best breakfast we had in Europe. Very polite couple hosting us and located not far from the main city area in Füssen. Very close to Neuschwansteinstraße Castle. Nice and clean hotel. Would love it better if there is aircon in the units.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the family-run Hotel Christine in Füssen, and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a nice view of the mountains from our balcony. One of the standout features of our stay was the breakfast. The presentation was nothing short of...

A nice and quiet hotel in Füssen, a 10-minute walk from the beautiful center, especially for parents. We had great night sleep and a nice early morning walk. Our breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared. The hotel is highly recommended, also as a stopover on your way to Italy, for example.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Christine (Fussen, Germany). We cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The owner takes pride in his business, and he knows how to take care of his guests. The hotel sits in the perfect location. It is close to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle and Harburg Castle, as well as walking distance, along a quaint nature trail, to the old town of Fussen, which is...

Hotel Christine was our final stop of our 40th-anniversary trip to Germany and it turns out we saved the best for last. The amenities in the Hotel Christine room elevated the room above the other 3-star hotels we’d stayed at. They had a sturdy fan, something every other hotel we’d stayed at sorely lacked, especially with the unexpected warm weather. The sliding glass door could be cracked open, allowing...

Excellent small hotel run by owner and assistant. Located away from the bustle and noise of downtown. But close enough to walk Everything was immaculate, and the breakfast was outstanding. Short drive to the Castle. Highly recommend a visit off-season when no A/C is needed. Pleasant staff.

This remote location and beautiful lake made the stay here awesome. I have hiked to this lake dozens of times throughout my life while visiting family and friends and it’s one of my favorite places to see. The lake water is cold and refreshing and the hotel has very nice clean rooms and views along with great food and nice staff. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a low tech nature retreat.

Delightful restaurant next to a beautiful lake. Big outdoors area. Food is great and wonderful friendly service.

We discovered this restaurant by chance. It was such a lovlely location with a really good menu we decided to book for dinner. The venison goulash in particular was superb. The potato soup was divine. All five of us enjoyed if so much we went back the following night to try the rest of the menu. Love their spatzle. If you are hungry go there! Do it! Eat!

A beautiful location... food was excellent with a good choice breakfast. The toilet and shower rooms are shared on corridor but we're always clean.. some traffic heard at night.. we stayed room 8 and 2 x toilets were opposite. View from bedroom was perfect. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Evening meal could only be reserved from 6pm - 6.30pm... which was a little early for ourselves...

Amazing place! It is beautiful, the location is easy to find, also can park your car. The rooms are old school, toilet and shower are on the corridor, in your room you have a sink only. Everything is very clean. But the mood is very nice and calm. The staff is so very helpful and everyone walks with a smile on their face. 😊 The restaurant is comfy with classic design but with a modern feeling. And...

My fiance and I stopped here on a road trip through Germany. The staff was so nice and the location is so so beautiful! It is a nice private retreat away from the bustle of Fussen and tourist areas. The turquoise lake and mountains behind it are amazing. The included breakfast was sooo good and versatile! We swam in the water and drank beer in the evening by the peaceful surroundings. They have beer...
