The hotel itself is good, with friendly service, large but rather simple rooms, and a beautiful view. Unfortunately, our dinner experience in the restaurant was very disappointing – the food was dry, tasteless, and not freshly prepared, so we had to leave without eating.
Other downsides: there is no bicycle rental, the climb up from the village to the hotel is very steep, and the bar is closed on Sundays.
Overall, the hotel has potential and offers a pleasant stay, but the restaurant and some services need improvement.

I recently stayed at Hartungs Hoteldorf for three nights, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect — the ski pistes are just a stone's throw away, Austria is right around the corner, and the famous Neuschwanstein Castle is also nearby. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a kitchen that has all the utensils you might need. The view from the room was simply breathtaking, offering a direct look at the lake — a true highlight of the stay. Breakfast was impressive, with a wide variety of options, ensuring there’s something for everyone. To top it off, the pool was a great place to unwind after a long day of skiing or walking. Highly recommend!

We spent 2 nights in this hotel the location is really beautiful and the service is also best we wishing to visit again the most interesting things about hotel is breakfast is so good and the bus ticket provided by hotel is absolutely free so you can enjoy the travel in the city all day

After the personal discussion with the boss, I removed the negative rating.
I hope he takes it seriously that the European cleaning standards in hotel rooms are a must. I found it inappropriate to say that I am not obliged to be there. You should see the reviews as suggestions for improvement, then these will also be replaced by positive ones.

The location of the hotel is very nice. All of the staff were very friendly. The food is excellent. The panorama terrace offers a very nice view and delicious cocktails.
The room we had was getting a bit old and the green carpet in the hallway is no longer up-to-date. I think the price for the room is a bit too high. The swimming pool in the hotel is spacious and clean.

Pleased · The staff was very friendly and tried hard. We hadn't expected a room with a balcony, then with a view of the lake. Really beautifull. Request was taken into account that the room can be reached via an elevator. Abundant breakfast - long breakfast time. Nice swimming pool. Hotel is located on top of a mountain, due to restricted mobility the car always had to be taken but it was not a problem for us. Room service was made on request. Good massages.
We were very satisfied all round and would recommend the hotel + room to everyone. 👍
Not liked · Rather small things and nothing necessary: refrigerator would have been nice but not a must. Bathroom not the most modern but clean.
