Hotel Christine in Fussen

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the family-run Hotel Christine in Füssen, and it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a nice view of the mountains from our balcony. One of the standout features of our stay was the breakfast. The presentation was nothing short of spectacular. Anna was delightful and very friendly both at breakfast and on reception. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort and top-notch service.

A nice and quiet hotel in Füssen, a 10-minute walk from the beautiful center, especially for parents. We had great night sleep and a nice early morning walk. Our breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared. The hotel is highly recommended, also as a stopover on your way to Italy, for example.

Hotel Christine was our final stop of our 40th-anniversary trip to Germany and it turns out we saved the best for last. The amenities in the Hotel Christine room elevated the room above the other 3-star hotels we’d stayed at. They had a sturdy fan, something every other hotel we’d stayed at sorely lacked, especially with the unexpected warm weather. The sliding glass door could be cracked open, allowing fresh air in but maintaining safety. The room was also clean and had a wonderful view off the balcony of Neuschwanstein. The owner, Kurt Ruppert, a friendly, kind man, is a true master chef. We felt so pampered and special and looked forward to breakfast, which was a special event. Smoked salmon, fancy cheeses, meats, yogurts, fruit cup, fruit smoothies, orange juice, and coffee, not to mention the showcase, a special treat prepared by Kurt Ruppert that was different each morning but each dish was exquisitely delicious, a visual and tasty treat. A 10/10 on the culinary scale of excellence. Anna, his helper, was one of the friendliest people we’ve had the pleasure to meet. She added to the experience and helped out in various aspects of running the hotel. We were always greeted with warmth and a wide smile, a great way to start the day. We’re already planning my next trip to Germany and Hotel Christine is on the top of the list.

Excellent small hotel run by owner and assistant. Located away from the bustle and noise of downtown. But close enough to walk Everything was immaculate, and the breakfast was outstanding. Short drive to the Castle. Highly recommend a visit off-season when no A/C is needed. Pleasant staff.

Great boutique hotel located mere minutes from Neuschwanstein Castle. Super clean room on the 3rd floor with great views of the castle at night time. A little warm as the room does not have air conditioning (not unusual for Germany). Fans wer in the room. Breakfast was truly an artform with fantastic service.

This hotel worked well for us as a base for visiting the kings castles. We enjoyed a stroll around Fussen’s old town as well and would have visited its city history museum had it been open when we were there. It is a very quick easy walk from the hotel to the town which appeared to have numerous restaurants and shops. Anna, who worked reception and served breakfast was very pleasant to deal with. Our room (#3) was comfortable enough and nicely quiet. The bathroom was extremely small. We had a good sized balcony but the weather was too chilly and wet for us to enjoy it much. The view to the mountains might be nice in better weather but it is not an unobstructed view as there is a residential neighbourhood between the hotel and the mountains. Still I think it would be pleasant on a nice day. The best feature of our time there was the exquisite breakfast - not buffet!! - served at beautifully set tables with classical music playing in the background. It was such a lovely way to start the day! The free parking was also a valuable component for us.

We stayed in Fussen 1 night before our castle tour in the morning. Only 10 minutes away from the parking for the castles and a 10 minute walk into downtown. Great location. The room was nice and clean. The best part was the amazing view of the Alps from our balcony . It was drizzling the evening we stayed, but it still a very easy walk on the path behind the hotel to town for dinner. Breakfast was the best we had during our road trip. Fruit, breads, meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, smoothies, coffee- it was all delicious and we were sad we couldn’t finish it all. Highly recommend for a stay in Fussen.
