Ibis Nuernberg City am Plaerrer in Nurnberg

The location was near to everything when you wanna visit Nurnberg.

The room was small, and the service was okay, but there was no one at the front desk when checking out in the morning. It's about a 12-minute walk from the central train station, and there was practically no internet signal. I wouldn't recommend it.

Clean and tidy room with fair price. If you would exploring the city in a day and only sleep at night this safe place would highly meet your needs! If you come from the train station, just be aware of it might take some time.

This hotel is a little bit far away from train station but quite close to the old town.
It's a 2 stars hotel therefore, on the whole the cleanliness is acceptable. My room was in the beginning of the corridor and lifts so it was a bit noisy. At night it was absolutely quiet.
Breakfast costs €17 but it worths. Lots of variety to choose. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

Situated close to the old town (only few minutes walking distance) the hotel was very easy to find. Near the hotel there was an U ban connecting with the airport and most of the city stations. The check-in/checkout process was very smooth and easy and hotel staff was very helpful.

Everything was ok , but better when there will be a little fridge in a hotel room and automat with snacks and drinks in a hotel hall . It's very nice , quiet and clean hotel

We stayed at the ibis Nuernberg City am Plaerrer for a long weekend in mid-November 2025, primarily to catch the opening of the famous Christkindlesmarkt. Overall, our stay was perfectly satisfactory, with the hotel's main selling point being its incredible convenience.
The Good: The location is, without a doubt, the best thing about this hotel. It is literally steps away from the Plärrer U-Bahn station, which is a major hub. This made getting from the airport an absolute breeze. We were able to walk to the Old Town (Altstadt) in about 10-15 minutes, which was perfect. We walked to the Christkindlesmarkt in the Hauptmarkt every evening. Even in the cold November weather, it was a pleasant and easy stroll. The staff were all very friendly and professional, and check-in was quick and efficient.
The "Satisfactory": This is a standard ibis, so you know exactly what you're getting. The room was basic, compact, but very clean. The "Sweet Bed" was definitely comfortable, and the soundproofing was surprisingly good. The room is functional for sleeping and showering, the buffet breakfast is a standard Ibis one.
Final Verdict: If you are looking for a luxury or "charming" German hotel experience, this isn't it. However, if you want a clean, safe, and comfortable base with a fantastic location for exploring Nuremberg, this hotel is a solid and satisfactory choice. For a weekend trip where we spent most of our time out in the city, it met our needs perfectly. I would consider staying here again for the price and sheer convenience.

Standard room with double bed is comfortable but a bit noisy. Good receptionists. Nice lobby with seats. Walking distance to Train Station and Old Town.

Although the room is not big, it is very clean. There is an underground garage for convenient parking. The location is very good, very close to the old town. You can visit the castle and church by crossing the street.

The hotel is very well located, just a few minutes' walk from the city center. For those arriving by car, a secure parking lot is available.
The staff (reception, bar, restaurant, rooms, etc.) are very helpful and friendly. They offer advice and help with various requests (restaurant reservations, sightseeing suggestions, etc.).
The rooms are very clean and pleasant.
I definitely recommend this hotel for leisure and also for business.
