Hotel Daucher in Nurnberg

Our room was clean and comfortable with a lovely shower. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel has its own spaces and when we arrived there were plenty of spaces available. Really couldn't fault it for the price we paid.

The hotel location is very convenient for easy on and off of the autobahn. The train station is a short walk from the hotel and from there it's a quick 20 minute train into the city centre. But staying in the local area of the hotel there are a good choice of restaurants (walkable), along with a Lidl and a petrol station - very convenient.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I'm in the area.

The room was basic, does the job. Pillows could use some improvement, felt like they were 20 years old, we were laying on multiple pieces of fluff, suggest getting new pillows.

The staff were friendly and helpful however it would be nice to have a point of contact overnight. We were kept up by extremely loud neighbours and it would’ve been nice to have a staff member to help with this situation.

Overall, it was okay and did the job well.

Pros:
- good price for a hotel 20 min away from the Playmobil Park if you book online in the hotel's website
- free parking and easy to find a place
- one double mattress instead of 2 twins together so no annoying gap in-between
- croissants and boiled eggs for breakfast
- big screen tv
- Wi-Fi worked
- you can pay with debit card on arrival (even thought the online booking confirmation says the booking is not valid without a credit card)
- staff was friendly
- quiet residential area with a few restaurants nearby

Cons:
- the bed was quite narrow
- the bedroom was tight
- there was so much dust and dirt under the bed
- a lot of things at breakfast looked and tasted old
- only German coffee (no latte macchiato, etc) and it was very watery
- room service only changed the towels and emptied the garbage (didn't clean or make the bed)
- no Camembert for breakfast
- bedroom didn't have thin curtains and there was a building on the other side so to have privacy we needed to close the shutters and forgo daylight
- no elevator
- the toilet was very low (like children's height)

Very good service

I was extremally shocked by high quality of this place. Good bed, warm room. Some sweet waiting on pillow. I rested well.

Close enough to the train station for walking. The room needed a little work, fixture wise. It's secluded enough but also close enough for amenities and bakeries.

Great value for money

Looking for a place to stay that was close to the hospital.
