Hotel Lux in Regensburg

Great location, but in all other aspects, quite poor. Unclean towels, hair left in shower, absolutely no staff present aside from one person. No reception, you have to call one day prior in order to receive a code to get your room key out of a safe in front of the hotel yourself. Also, there are only a few parking spots right in front of the hotel, and you can only stay in these spots for one hour. The nearest free parking lot is about five minutes away, which isn’t a lot but it isn’t very practical to leave your car with your belongings inside of it that far away from you, overnight, and in a foreign country/unknown city. However, the location is perfect if you are looking to explore the city centre, however the location does make it a bit difficult to fall asleep as there are many cafes, restaurants, etc on the same street so it does get quite noisy.

Never met any staff our whole visit. A neighbor across the street helped us check in and gave us the key to our room.

Good wifi, great breakfast, nice staff, very big room, close to center. Everything was good.

Location is perfect, room itself is decent with pretty old furniture. Obviously don't expect a 5 star hotel, illustrated by price as well. Tip for hotel owner, better curtains would be nice as they really don't cover the morning light coming in during the summer. Breakfast is also good, nothing extra.
