Great location!! Service was very good, enjoyed the breakfasts, excellent scramble eggs. Had some trouble with the internet for the first 24 hours, but eventually got it up and running. Third gentleman we had was especially helpful, as was the main breakfast lady, and a younger male who loaned us an adapter. We had room 42, which had a terrace. Right across the hall was the one that featured the balcony (43?), which has a lovely view of the river and small balcony - beautiful. My only concern was the lack of ventilation in the bathroom and what looked like some black mold above the shower, in the two corners. Bathroom was very modern and clean otherwise.

My stay at this hotel was thoroughly disappointing. The hotel appears very run-down and is in a poor, neglected state. The room was dirty upon arrival, with dust, stains, and clearly visible signs of wear and tear. The bathroom also gave a poor impression of hygiene.

The furnishings are old, damaged, and obviously haven't been updated in years. There's hardly anything to be found that matches the online advertising. The exorbitant price is completely disproportionate to the service provided.

The overall impression is poor – neither cleanliness, comfort, nor value for money are acceptable. I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel and would not book it again.

Both the gentleman at check-in and the gentleman at reception on Sunday morning, as well as the lady from the kitchen, were incredibly friendly and very accommodating. The room was immaculate, and we loved the option of using the small terrace overlooking the courtyard. We will definitely remember this hotel and would gladly return.

We felt completely at ease from the very first minute and would love to come back. A warm and friendly welcome, excellent service, and helpfulness right to the end. 5*****

The only room with a balcony and a view of the Rhine is highly recommended, especially now in summer. (And the coffee served with the generous breakfast selection is fantastic!)

From midnight no elektricity on de rooms. (can happen) No service in the house, worst thing: "hotel telephone number" was not answered all night. unresponsable !! (what wenn something serious happens) wenn staffmember arrived it was just fixed by switching the fusee. Uninteressed reaction by deskemployee.

Location is easy bus ride from main train station and convenient to start point for the Rhinesteig. Reception was very pleasant. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and shower was just right. The nearby river promenade was just the spot for drinks before dinner at the Mexican restaurant across the street. The room was on the river side and street noise was a minor issue until midnight. It was an unusually warm sunny day and room was quite hot when we checked in. With open windows and the fan provided, it cooled off overnight. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Would stay again but not on the street side.
