Very nice and polite staff. The room was nice and clean and very silent. Nice decoration. The location is convenient. A pleasant stay overall.

A very chic "design hotel," with great decor in the hallways, lobby, and everywhere else. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The vegan breakfast fell somewhat short of expectations. While this is a minor complaint, it's still not comparable to other hotels offering similar vegan breakfasts. The whole idea of establishing a hotel with this concept (fair, sustainable, vegan, community-oriented) in this pub-friendly area is certainly appealing. However, you should definitely be a heavy sleeper or use the provided earplugs, as it gets very noisy on weekends. Otherwise, the location is good; you can quickly reach the Römer (Frankfurt's city hall), and the bus and train connections are also within easy walking distance. Small Italian restaurants and other eateries are nearby as well. Would I return solely for the vegan breakfast? No. And for those planning to, or who value vegan breakfast, it's worth noting that you can easily make a roll with vegan sausage and sliced cheese at home, or yogurt with berries. To the owners: Check out the Ahead Hotel in Brandenburg: Amazing selection of vegan cheeses, homemade waffles, homemade spreads – everything's a bit more special. I don't need to go to a hotel for what I can get at any Lidl. Nevertheless, it's commendable that they're implementing a vegan concept at all. The filter coffee and cappuccino were also very tasty. Two more points: This doesn't affect me personally, but anyone with gluten intolerance can't eat the rolls, croissants, or the oat milk with muesli. Soy milk as an alternative would be really nice. And why does a cappuccino cost extra with such a limited selection? We paid almost €160 for four days of breakfast, and you can basically get all of that at the nearest supermarket. Who drinks more than one or two cappuccinos at breakfast? Couldn't they just include it in the price? The rooms aren't exactly cheap either. So, long story short: Cool stay in a wild area with a great concept, but I wouldn't come just for the (albeit very tasty) breakfast. I'd like something more to make the hotel stay special, not just vegan sliced cheese from a package. Perhaps they could collaborate with local businesses; there are some really great cheese and sausage alternatives, for example, made from almonds or cauliflower.

Great hotel with recording studio, laundry and kitchen all contained within. Friendly staff and a unique atmosphere

Perfect location. Crossroads of pedestrianised area with bars all around. Room was excellent and quirky in a good way. Flawlessly clean. Easy to get to - the tram stops 200m away and straight into Town Centre in 10 Mins. Really can't fault it and would definitely return if in Frankfurt again.
One minor criticism is that the breakfast is just Croissants and Yoghurt but does not retract from it. Go out for breakfast.

The room was cute and the hotel was stylish. I was also happy that the washing machine and dryer were free. Rewe is just a short walk away, and there's an unmanned convenience store in the shared kitchen, and you can get free apples at the front desk.

The room was good, the location was great, but I was there in the height of summer, and there was no air conditioning, which was a bit unpleasant in the hot weather. There was a fan, but it was a bit too loud, so I slept with earplugs. But overall, the room was clean and had everything you need.

We stayed at Libertine Lindenberg for one night in June 2025. The experience was terrible, and we strongly advise all travelers to think twice before booking this place.
1.No air conditioning – unbearably hot at night
Despite being recently renovated (in 2024), the room had no air conditioning at all. On the night we stayed, the temperature was over 30°C, and there was only a small fan, which did absolutely nothing. It was impossible to sleep. For a so-called “top-rated, Instagrammable hotel,” this is a serious infrastructure flaw.
2.Early check-out and rude handling
The check-out time is 10:30 a.m., earlier than most hotels in Germany. We overlooked the time slightly, and were rudely knocked on the door. The staff told us in an unfriendly tone that we had 10 minutes to vacate the room. No grace period, no basic courtesy.
3.Unprofessional and sarcastic receptionist
After checking out, we had an important online meeting, so we sat quietly in the public lounge area. A white female staff member kept making sarcastic remarks, like “do you love this place so much you don’t want to leave?” It was extremely uncomfortable and deeply disrespectful.
Even as we left, she stood at the window and stared at us the entire time – a final gesture that felt openly hostile and utterly unprofessional.

We work in education and healthcare, and travel frequently throughout Europe. This was one of the worst hotel service experiences we’ve had in years. We hope this review serves as a warning to other guests. This hotel may look good in photos, but behind the surface lies a complete lack of comfort and professionalism.
