Hotel Adriatic in Hannover

Our trip had a happy ending. We initially booked in Adriatic II, thinking the differences will be minor. The room was terrible initially - tiny and sad, and we weren't able to see the sea despite the balcony with "sea view". The staff were great, and helped us get an upgrade. The new room was fantastic. A huge difference to the initial one. Larger and comfy, all contemporary design, and very importantly, with step-free access. The breakfast was great. There was an option for a dinner buffet too, which was also nice. Generally there was a good selection of food, and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. I loved the indoor pool and spa area. The hotel has a secure parking, which was great. The outdoor pool was also nice, although a bit crowded, and the hotel does not have direct access to the beach. This is due to the geography of Opatija. By the end, the experience was relaxing, and I'm grateful to the excellent staff who supported us and saved us from a possible terrible stay. Hopefully we'll be back to Adriatic I - avoid the II by all means, it's absolutely not worth the small financial save.
