Hotel Rosenpark Laurensberg in Aachen

I recently stayed at this hotel and thought I'd share my thoughts on the experience. It was a bit of a mixed bag, but I have a few concerns that I think could use some attention.
First off, let's talk about the rooms, which are in fact spacious but in a separate building from the lobby, which wasn't a big deal. But what really bugged me was the lack of WiFi in the rooms. Can you believe it? If you needed internet access, you had to head down to the lobby. And let me tell you, it wasn't exactly the comfiest spot to work or study around with people coming and going and loud music playing.
Now, here's where things took a disappointing turn. There was no soap or shampoo provided in the rooms. I mean, come on! How can a supposedly 3-star hotel overlook such basic amenities? When the matter brought up with the staff, they just gave silly excuses without actually fixing the problem. Not cool, right?
Oh, and let's not forget about the receptionist. Not the friendliest or most professional person I've encountered (especially by checking out). A little professionalism and welcoming can go a long way in making guests feel valued.
Now, I don't want to be all negative. There were a few positives during my stay, like the room was clean and spacious. And the breakfast buffet was good. The hotel needs to address the issues and to definitely improve the overall experience for future guests.
Overall, I won't recommend it and I don't think I will stay there again!

The problem was to open the main door. After 19:00 no one works at the reception. You only get a card for the room door, but not for the main door. The room was big but not very clean. The bathroom has a small bathtub.

Booked this hotel for three nights as it advertised a 24 hour check in desk and we would be arriving late around 2200. However when we arrived the reception desk was closed and the hotel was locked. There was no answer when trying to call and we were left abandoned. Shocking service. AVOID THIS SO CALLED HOTEL.

Hotel understaffed. Rooms were shabby, dirty and not ready on time. Restaurant closed due to lack of staff. Breakfast was cheapest products they could find. Rooms large and in a quiet area. A shame as this could be so much nicer. Poor value for money. Will not be returning.
