1 Star Hotel, which needs an upgrade. Rooms are very dated and can do with a deep clean. Shower cubical is small and size of the room is awkward for 2-3 people staying. The duvet was not large enough for 2 people sharing. Although I was there for a festival and spent most of the days out of the room, I’ve staying in better Ibis hotels. Hotel on main road so can be noisy hearing cars. Positive its 5 minute walk to town centre for shops and restaurants.

*The hotel's 1-star status is displayed at the entrance. Since they've accepted the fact that it's a 1-star hotel, the following may be unavoidable. *There's no elevator, so you have to carry your suitcase up to the 3rd floor by yourself *There's no hairdryer. When you tell the front desk, they say a 20€ deposit is required. 2 *I waited in the room for a hairdryer but it never came. An hour later, when I told the front desk, they said, "We'll prepare it after you bring the deposit to the front desk." *This was my first time making a deposit for a hairdryer, and also my first time being asked to bring it. ...I don't need it anymore! *This hotel cost 4700€, while the Holiday Inn near the airport where I stayed the day before cost 3000€ and had all the necessary infrastructure.

this is the most incredible negative experience I had in my life, most probably the worst hotel in Germany. The receptionist (Indian Lady) was rude and not helpful, several of my colleagues and other guests could do the check in after 10 pm, reception was closed the check in machine was broken, no answer on the phone and no solution. we had to share our rooms at least for 1 night. they gave us room codes and we have found in it other guests the Hotel is dirty full of old spider nets dust, bath room extremely little, they didn't make up the rooms. the personnel of the hotel is very unfriendly and rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANY ONE VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE THEY SHOULD CLOSE THIS HOTEL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

I'd actually give this 0 out of 5. Arrived after midnight after a severely delayed flight. Reception closed, check in computer did not work and no phone receiver. We used the room number and room code provided to find someone else's belongings in the room along with my booking information. Name, address, payment, everything! We had to wait up for this person to come back to tell them to leave and take their belongings. Luckily for that person they had friends staying at the hotel, we did not. The following day the person at reception did not speak English...so they say. I got no apology, no refund but advised a manager would be in at 3pm and would contact me to arrange a refund. Guess what, no call, no refund. Avoid at all costs!!

The overnight stay was good in and of itself: - 5 minutes' walk from Leverkusen Mitte train station - Clean room, towels, good light, comfortable bed - Breakfast for Ibis Budget was consistently good and sufficient Now for the negative point: The service at check-in and check-out was awful. I had checked in online with a credit card 3 days previously. However, I had not received an SMS/email with the room number and the necessary door code. Now I was there on Saturday evening at 4:50 p.m. Reception closed, check-in machine not working and no one answered when I pressed the call button. It said that reception would be open from 5 p.m., but that was not the case. Calling the hotel and sending an email were of no use. After 40 minutes of searching, I found a piece of paper with an "emergency number" on one of the rooms. The gentleman was then able to tell me the room and door code over the phone. Since I had checked in online, check-out should have taken place automatically and I should have received the bill by email. Even 2 days after check-out, no bill arrived. So I had to ask the hotel again. Conclusion: It is best to check 1-2 days before arrival whether you have received the access data for your room. If not, contact the hotel as soon as possible. It is best to do this in the morning during breakfast time, as the reception is sure to be manned then.
