Hotel im Kupferkessel in Koln

Really perfect!!! Definitely 5 stars from me, the location and the price were great and staying at the hotel was super pleasant. I appreciated that the automated check-in was very simple, often in Airbnbs or other hotels you have to go through a convoluted process that feels like an escape room before you make it to your room but here I just got a code, entered that on the main door and that was it. The room itself was small but perfect: clean, comfortable and with good wifi connection. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Cologne again one day.

What a cute, wonderful place. Hotel is updated, clean and comfortable. The host was so kind and even provided us a fan for the room. Convenient location, approximately 10-15 min walk to central train station and cathedral. Couldn't be happier.

Checked in with no problem, dropped off my luggage and went off to enjoy the day. The room is perfect for a solo traveller. Some doors may need some oiling as they creak. The way many of German doors work (at least from my experience), you should use your key to close doors rather than slam them shut. They served inclusive breakfast which was good: variety of salami, cheese, breads, juices/milk/tea/coffee, cereal, jam/spreads, egg etc.. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice receptionists. Good place, a litlle overpriced but ideally located if you attend a conference in Komed. Good breakfast too.

A small family hotel. Attentive, friendly staff. We arrived before check in time, but us with a smile took, offered to leave our Luggage and were given a map with marked tourist route, so we can walk until the room cook. To our return the bags were already in the room. As a gift for a birthday, the hotel owner personally congratulated and presented for Breakfast bottle of Prosecco sparkling wine. Upon departure, we were prepared and covered a very early Breakfast so we caught the train. The rooms are small but clean and cozy. Mostly rooms with shared showers, but there are two double rooms with a toilet and shower in the room. For a child put in an extra bed. Refrigerator, mini bar. The dryer will be given upon your request at check-in. Was in the middle of December. It was down to -5 but the room was warm. Breakfast is quite monotonous: cereal, muesli, a plate of assorted cheese, sausage and ham, apples, tangerines, pears, boiled eggs. But it is quite enough to eat in the morning. As a plus, you should specify the location of the hotel: Central station and Cologne Cathedral is a leisurely 15-minute walk away.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay here in Dec 2013! The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and our hosts were very friendly and helpful to us throughout our stay. They even packed us breakfast and lunch sandwiches when we had to leave so early for a flight that we could not make to breakfast in the morning. (The wifi is also much faster and reliable than in most hotels!)

rooms are okay for a short stay but double beds could actually be one bed, not 2 beds put side by side.
staff was really nice and helpful

Neat clean rooms, but small. No fan or ac in the room, hot days are very much hot inside.

Fantastic experience. Great price. Great room. Nice breakfast.
